While working on a golf course in Florida, I saw a gang of otters teasing an egret. Egrets are actually pretty tough about aiming that beak at animals that bother them, and even dogs leave them alone if they've been hit once. Just so you know the danger to the otters. Anyway, the egret was minding it's business, fishing in a stream, and getting ready to strike a fish, when three otters that were waiting just for this opportunity, slapped the water, and the fish moved. The egret walked on down a bit and tried again...same slap on the water. They kept at it for ever. I went off to mow and came back and they were still at it until the egret started going after the otters. They didn't attack the egret, when they could have. They didn't get their own fish. It was literally more important to the otters to irritate somebody, than to eat or be safe.
There's only 3 reasons why cute animals can survive in this world:

@@user-pz4bt5bc3d You are not thinking through all the way. To say life is a multiple choice is to say that there will be many questions to be had, and sometimes the correct choice for some of those questions is violence. Violence isn't inherently bad, especially when it comes to survival. So for this otter each day/experience or "question" can be and is more than likely going to be violence since its surrounded by all kinds of predators.

Brian Jacques was generous making Otters the hero(es) of his Redwall book series....
You are THE BEST! I always learn new facts from you, and you're hilarious! ❤
I would love to go to a zoo with him as the guide. I don’t care if the tour was $100 for an hour - I know it’s going to be a good time 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Absolutely
And you have only one life soo do it
I second that
Shut up and take my mom's credit card!
It is me from the future I am blessed I normally never get likes thanks 😊
The little suckers are smart as hell too which means they’ll know how far to push and they’ll know when you’re just bluffing. Being able to chase off a big cat, kill gators, and use team tactics and primitive tools makes them very formidable.
And I swear the giants are on the verge of speech. Now THAT is scary.
Otters in general are kinda small compared to humans and I’ve only delt with small North American one and that’s what I’m talking about. North Americans otters can and have killed beavers and alligators. Now just image those 2-3ft little suckers growing to 6ft. Terrifying yet amazing.
4:49 that’s a 3ft North American River Otter killing an alligator, now just imagine twice as big and 10 of them. That whole family are amazing predators.
As always, Sir! Very impressive work and phenomenal delivery!
Dude you deserve all respect and success. Hustle on my brother.
Really appreciate you disclaiming that you’re doing alright for yourself financially. I feel like a lot of youtubers your size sometimes downplay the money they CAN make from videos. Really hope you get some patreon cash money though!
I think he means he's got a day job, but with a milli subs he could probs do yt full time
@@SmokingBeagles ye homie is absolutely exploding. He was at 1mil 4 days ago, now he’s at 1.17
I would like to think his day job pays well... But there's is actually not much, dealing with living animals, that pays well.
If I'm right, his side hustle might actually be the bigger portion of income
Delusional
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Jesus is
the Son of God who was crucified for the sins of everyone.
The rapture is coming get saved for you sins and please give your life to Jesus before it’s too late!!
"do not test what capitalism has done to my sense of morality" lmao that line was about as savage as the otters in the video
I'm addicted to these videos. I love them. I was going to bug you about your microphone, but I got over it quickly. I love animals and I love to laugh. love it
I appreciate that Vs. Ridley is playing while this guy’s explaining that nothing’s safe from this hellspawn
Just like that Space Pirate, river otters are like _"these claws are rated E for Everyone."_
@@MrDibara those claws may be E for everyone, but what they’ll do with them will make the game lose its rating
6:57 Some species of otter have been observed and documented raping while drowning young (sometimes baby) seals. They maul the nose and frontal face area to subdue it before the sexual assault. Male otters establish a form of alpha dominance that limit the number of females willing to mate with the male otters that are subdominant. It's the subdominant male otters that go on to take out their sexual needs on other animals.
That's not the worst of it... They sometimes hold on to the drowned corpse of the young seal and continue to rape the dead body for days and sometimes even weeks on end.
And in 2015 a family in Vancouver lost a pet dog because an otter literally lured the dog and proceeded to... do what they do... to the pet dog and the family had to watch as the otter bobbed the head of the dead dog above the water so that the family could see it desecrating the corpse.
Still think otters are cute?
That's horrifying but thank you for explaining
they still look cute so yes
The little ones are pretty cute
Yes, they're still cute. Who doesn't love a psychopathic hell spawn that looks like a hotdog with legs?
Dang these animals sound too static to be real
I love this guy so much!!❤❤🎉🎉I always learn more for his short vids that I do in documentaries that are hours long. Just the way he delivers the information is perfect. Him and Z Frank❤❤❤❤ The best
Your content and your humor are always on point man bravo 👏
are we just gonna gloss over "it doesn't take long for the reptile to stop working, its called an ereptile disfunction"?
like that joke was so hidden and so good at the same time.
Yep. I was looking for this comment. Had to play it twice as I wasn’t sure I heard correctly. LOL
Otters are the living incarnation of “peace was never an option”.
OMG IKR
