Thank you, Dr. Harris, for all this amazing information. I haven't been diagnosed yet; I will be going for testing. I've had lung issues my whole life and at age 52 received a pacemaker for heart block and chronotropic incompetency. My new cardiologist says it's unheard of for someone that age to develop heart block without ischemia, and so he suggested it might be sarcoidosis. He may have put two and two together after seeing countless other cardiologists and pulmonary specialists, we shall see. Googling, I discovered a study that found a common infectious agent in sarcoid patients: P. acne. Then I found another study that found thyme to be extremely effective against that pathogen, at least in vitro. Since thyme is essentially food, safe for the most part, I took two drops of thyme oil in a glass of water. I had a rather marked Herxheimer reaction, so something's getting killed off. I will continue my experiment (two drops a day is about what I can currently handle, herxing wise) in hopes of killing off whatever my immune system is trying to wall off with the granulomas. Note that oregano oil and cat's claw did not give me the same herx reaction, so thyme is the one working for me. Should be an interesting ride. I'll take corticosteroids if I have to, of course, but I'm excited to try to get rid of this infectious agent in a safe way.

Found a red spot on my arm. Biopsy was done and it came up Dermatitis or possible Sarcoidosis. Dr. thought it probably was not Sarcoidosis, but in a follow up visit it started to have gramulomas around it. So he believes it might be S ,out of process of elimination. He took another biopsy that I’m still waiting for the confirmation, but he instructed me to get a pulmonologist and I can’t see him until October. What we’re your symptoms?

@@carolbicknell9603 or two days ago I had a telephone doctor at first said he didn't know and then he said you might have S. Sorry looked up what it was and the symptoms about 5 months ago I had shortness of breath I was sweating in my sleep I lost 10 lb and I had a consistent dry cough. But I took every test and they all came back negative wasn't bronchitis wasn't affection or white blood cells are fine the whole body was found my lungs were fine. So the nurse and the doctor's going to figure it it wasn't asthma either face asthma pump made my cough worse. I feel fine now though now I could do my regular exercise without running out of breath I just came from the Grand canyon for god sakes and I felt fine and I still feel fine as far as the car I no longer cough like that no more maybe once in a blue I might have a couple drive calls but not severe as it was. To the doctor asked me to do a biopsy. Then you ask me how I feel I told him I felt fine regular like I really do I might have a dry cough here and there they said in six months since you're not soon severe pain or illness will give it 6 months usually goes away by itself he said so after 6 months if I still have some whatever job call from a DoodleBob sitting by feel fine now but 50 months ago it was very bad

Dr. Harris you are speaking on measurements of Vitamin D level and PTH; if we do not have the tools how can this be checked? It’s extremely expensive to go to a Doctor and ask for a check of these different requirements. They only check for what they want to check not what the patient recommends. If we get well they lose money…

Getting biopsy done in 3 months after going to the ER diagnosed with non painful (unless press on them) erythema nodosum on both shins. Found inflamed nodule hilar lymph unilateral and mass looks like granulatomus disease or lung sarcoid. 0 other symptoms. I have an extremely high level of fitness and only went to ER to see if the rash on legs was bacterial or would have not gone otherwise.. BLood levels are OK. just a little over marker for albumin, WBC, protein. Vitamin D wasn't too low. Rash on shins much better less red and looks like it is going away. ANY INFORMATION On proper diet and supplements welcome!!

I first want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,I first heard about sarcoidosis were at the age 26. I’m a singer but noticed that I was having problems with breathing so went to my doctor. My doctor told me after X-ray I had Granuloma. And he told that I would after get older it would change to sarcoidosis. In fourties’ I started getting pneumonia a lot until I had two headaches because my oxygen was 60 low. I was diagnosed I had sarcoidosis and it effecting my lungs. 2006-2008 I flare up with my skin and joints and I couldn’t walk sitting everything cause pain. And now I’m 71 years old and I’m having flare up a whole lot. I take steroids for the flare ups. Thanks you Doctor there are not many people understand sarcoidosis.

Your life will turn upside down with Sarcoidosis. I was denoised with Sarcoidosis in 2005 with my lungs. Now it spread to my skin. This disease is no joke so take it seriously. Bug your doctor as often as often as you need to. This is your life so do what can you do to get better. I am 61 so, I am scared of what don't know what is go on in my body.

Hi i need help. as i most if not of my symptoms are in line with sarcoidosis except for the red blotches on the legs. ive had them on the face almost 17-20 years ago but they went away when i started a more plant based diet in 2011-12. tests for lupus and RA back then were always negative. then body aches started they said i may have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue but never confirmed. now after 6-7 years of seemingly being on the right track and healthy eating and exercise with minimal cheating my body just started going haywire last august with joint pain and system wide inflammation. literally just suddenly started one day and the last 5-6 months have been a nightmare. it’s messing with m heart function and just in january it seems to be affecting my lungs and voice. i have the granules/ nodules that seem to be growing out of control throughout my body and i’m afraid they’ve spread to my heart, neck and brain. is there anyway to stop or reduce them?

is there anyway to reduce or stop the formation of granules in the body? i seem to have them everywhere now and they are spreading to my neck and head and possibly my heart. exercise seems to make me worse and causes extreme pain and loss of function later in the night or following days. i’ve had the nodules coming in for a few years but no symptoms until i started having weird burning pains in my head in late 2019. it went away and suddenly in august of 2020 all hell broke loose loose and my immune system started attacking me and system wide inflammation and now these nodules/granules seems to be on the rise. how can we get rid of them?
