An Abba song that drives me crazy...in a good way, always can't stop listening to when i start Frida and Agnetha = one of the best voices in music history, Benny and Björn = musical geniuses
"When all is said and done" (1981) It is a very good song (8pts) that is part of the album "The Visitors" and was released as a single in U.S., not in UK the brunette singer Frida has the leading voice and sings it with a lot of energy and power, to which the blonde Agnetha joins in some verses and chorus The official video shows all four ABBA members in separate waves it's the time of the divorce of Frida & Benny (as many said, is a song inspired in both) and remember that Agnetha & Benny separated more than two years ago (curiosity, looks Agnetha more sad in her eyes and facial expresions) ABBA is a specialist in breakup songs, and in combining sad lyrics with catchy melodies. and this is one of the last, before their breakup as a group for almost 40 years I wish you a good weekend best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina South America
Never made a bad track. Sometimes experimental , sometimes mediocre, never bad. But regardless. Joyous , joyful 🎉. Bless you young man. You are truly amazing. 🌈💚
I love the way so much of the melody is sung on the off beats instead of on the beat as well as the guitar emphasizing the off beats. It creates a kind of off kilter tension. It’s interesting details like this that elevate ABBA’s songs to another level.
Another great sensitive reaction, my friend always so articulate, spontaneous, intelligent *the sniffing & sniffling is threatening to break out again! but not too bad this time But good lad, keep going with the great work, Sir God bless, my friend x
Their last U.S. Top 30 hit and my favorite! A catchy pop song when it came out in 1982/83, but now that I old(er), the lyrics have a lot more meaning. Thanks for finally getting to it Chase.
As you know, the ABBA group consisted of two married couples who subsequently separated. Like the 1980 song "The Winner Takes It All", which explained the breakup of one of the couples (Bjorn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Feltskog), "When All Is Said and Done" is dedicated to the rift between Anni-Frid Lingstad and Benny Andersson. Written during a period of emotional turmoil, the song, according to Ulvaeus, did not absorb the circumstances surrounding Benny and Frida's recent divorce, although this fact is absolutely obvious. In addition, it is known that Bjorn asked Andersson and Lingstad for permission before the band started working on the track. When recording of the song began in March 1981, only a month had passed since their breakup. In the song "When All Is Said and Done" Frida put all the pain and disappointment, not only her own, but also all those who were somehow connected with the breakup. The soundtrack was completely transformed after Anni-Frid performed her part with all her inherent skill and emotionality. As Lingstad herself later recalled: "All my sadness was embodied in this song." ABBA also recorded a Spanish-language version of the song "When All Is Said and Done", "No Hay A Quien Culpar", which was released as a single in Mexico and some other Latin American countries and was noticeably different from the English-language (among other things, the cover). The lyrics and title ("Nobody to Blame") were written by Buddy and Mary McCluskey. The track was subjected to certain changes, which made the song "softer" for perception
Hello again Chase 😀 Blessings to you and your Family🤗 The Beautiful Frida takes lead vocals in this track🥰 it wasn't released as a single but is a firm favourite with us original abba fans, many said that it should have been released as a single but it never was... Hope you're keeping well 🤪 look forward to your next abba reaction video. Have you heard of the "Eurythmics", "Yazoo", "Orchestral Manovers in the Dark" (OMD) or Depeche Mode....just a few great bands that i think you might like the sound of, give them a try... A Very Happy Easter, Anni-Fid..(Frida) my first crush and i was only 14😮😱 and I got to see ABBA in concert in London in 1979 (when I was 18), when I saw Frida 😍 🇬🇧🧐
Great Great song and Frida really shows the strength of her voice here but sad. This is Frida and Bennys breakup song. Benny had gotten another woman pregnant and left Frida for her. Frida was devastated and got so depressed she cut off all her beautiful long red hair as you will see in later videos (one of us)
I’ve always thought of this song as Frida putting on her big girl panties and facing her issues like a mature adult. Admirable but a bit boring……well, maybe not exactly boring but lets say uptight. Poor Frida. Agnetha chews up the scenery and vomits her angst on the studio floor with TWTIA while sensible Frida sings in a slightly robotic voice about no one taking the blame. The boys cut off her balls with this song. No surprise that she come back with the acid tongued rocker “Tell Me it’s Over” on her solo album a few months later along with the snarky “You know What I Mean”. THOSE are her divorce songs and that is what you should react to next.

This is an ABBA gem. Frida's vocals are amazing on this; add the musical arrangement and harmonies, and it spells ABBA magic.
Spanish version of this is amazing, Fridas vocal on it stunning
That was their Craft , positive tune , emotional ,sometimes dark lyrics. Amazing 🎉❤❤❤❤🎉
Frida❤️ unleashing all her vocal power... Wonderful!
Great react, Chase! Take care.
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
I love ABBA. Happy Easter!! ❤
Happy Easter! This is one of my favorite ABBA songs! Keep up the great work!
Another gem... ❤❤❤
One of my favourite ABBA songs! Maybe even my all time fave!!
The music sounds uplifting and positive, but the lyrics are actually sad and melancholic.
Agnetha has The Winner Takes It All, Frida has When All Is Said And Done. Both amazing breakup songs imo
Runners up Agnetha SOS/Frida KMKY.
Abbasolutely 🎉❤❤❤❤
And such a contrast. "Thanks for all you generous love." Try to fit that into The Winner Takes It All.

This is my favourite of theirs. So poignant.
This is one of all favourites❤
A time of reflection for Benny and Frida. 😔
Thanks for the Easter sermon & blessing. ♰

Frida slays and you feel the words when she sings

Amen, yes He died for us even though we were unworthy....thank you Jesus ! King of all kings
Ah, I get it. Was wondering what that had to do with ABBA! Then Chase digressed...
Such a strong lyric from a writer whose first language isn't English, as you 'll so often see with ABBA...
Hello again Chase 😀

Frida’s breakup from Benny song. She sings it from her heart. So beautiful but very, very sad. ❤😢
This is not a party song, it's one of ABBAs saddest lmfao
