Thanks so much for sharing this!! I'm FtM and I've been on testosterone for 10 years and done voice training for 2 years, and I still hate how high my voice is. I'd almost given up hope and then looked this surgery up and found this video, and now I don't feel so hopeless 🙏
This was so much fun to watch. Just imagining myself doing this if my voice really doesn’t change from testosterone. I’ve been on it almost 2 years and have had hardly any change except when I sing. My voice gives me so much dysphoria and gets me misgendered every single day. It’s kinda nice seeing cis men dealing with the same issues with their voices
I'm in the same boat but I recently got news that I was on the wrong testosterone dosage that whole time (the starting dose with no increases for two years)
And I haven't had Vocal training, basically to teach someone to speak from their lower throat/chest instead of their head.
I'm happy I have a decent doctor that's taking proper care of me instead of the malpractice my previous doctors had been involved in (he approved me for hormone therapy but he was not trained in that feild and only knew what to do according to wikipedia)
So I highly suggest checking those both out for beginners, vocal training and making sure your dosages are right- I was on a 0.5 dosage for 2 whole years, it was just enough to get me by in a few things but changes stopped after 6 months, I told myself it was just slow or I didn't realize changes when they happened because in the beginning my throat was sore and did drop a lil bit, but I had no vocal training so out of habit I also raised my pitch constantly when nervous, anxious or generally trying to talk to someone new- kind of like a customer service voice.

try to voice train. u are probz still speaking the same way u had been pre-t … which is very different to how many males do (kinda monotonous, slow etc) even the way they tend to phrase/inotate their words are different. try mimicking the men u look up to :)

Yes, I have actually noticed it myself. I’ve seen him on Instagram and he still sounds feminine to me. It’s like the surgery didn’t even work for him. 😢

There's actually an ENT place here in South Australia that does voice feminisation and masculinisation surgery. I've been thinking of getting masculinisation surgery, even though my voice isn't that high, I'd still like it to have a deeper pitch. Thanks for posting this video!

However, I think you should stop with the surgeries, you'll always find something that's not perfect. Coming to terms with your insecurities is surely a healthier approach.

But if having a surgery makes someone genuinely happy, why shoudn't they do it? You don't have to try and "come to terms" with something if it can be solved. Yes surgery is a big thing, which is why i'm only talking about really big insecurities, ones that you could come to terms with, but having surgery would actually make the person feel happy.

Dude, I’ve scoured the internet for someone’s review and testimonial on this subject! I want a deeper voice so bad because mine is crackly and not very solid. I definitely don’t sound like a “woman/girl” on the phone but I totally want more masculine voice. I feel like I lose peoples attention because I don’t have a very authoritative voice. I’m constantly clearing my throat just to get a decent sound. I’m so so so happy for you! I wish I could find this in the states! I live in the USA and can’t find anything on it. Find a vocal coach , what he did its just about pitch , but a voice can be masculine even at a higher pitch. Get a vocal coach.

I love this for you. I had small, sharp teeth in high school. I was genetically missing a lateral tooth and had an extra canine. When i finally got bridges in my 30's, i was so relieved to have normal, human teeth❤
