Yeah, being isolated in the Philippines with your parents. Too bad she can't have friends to play with a couple times a week Because it is about the kids not about parents
@@kathifailor4660 I disagree. For example, if Story goes to public school in the US. What would you think she will learn? Do you even know how bad school these days? Teenagers getting pregnant at 16. Kids bully other kids at school. Teachers do not care. The victim of bully will suffer depression. And worst of all sexualizing the kids through their textbooks. Lastly, indoctrinating the kids. Now you tell me. Would you want your kids to be in that school you highly glorified just now? I do not have time tell you how bad in school these days.
@@noej1003 DID YOU READ NY COMMENT? I said nothing about the USA ? I was talking about. She needs to have friends in her area where she lives. She's isolated with just her parents day in and day out. Once in awhile story will have friends to play with but she should be going to that school that they used to let her go to to interact with kids her own age. Did you play with kids in the neighborhood? Did you have friends... exactly Story deserves to have some friends as well. I'm not talking about school or USA or anything. I'm talking about friends
In my opinion, no matter what your life is, here in the Philippines 🇵🇭, you still always find a reason to smile. By appreciating and enjoying simple things together with your family makes everything worthwhile. Thank you for sharing your culture. I love the way you edit videos, simple yet catchy. ❤😊
You have narrated exactly what I miss in the Philippines… makes me want to come back. I left in search of the American dream but after that there’s just a longing to be home.
I'm 68. I grew up with a Party line on our phone. We always Sat down for dinner and played in the woods and creeks. I'm glad you and others are going back to the simple and refreshing and serene life I was raised. I feel really sorry for the Internet children today that don't experience the world around them
Your analysis about Ph family and community is quite true here the connections of every members of the family is very strong which keeps every filipinos sane and resillient and happy...
Just live what you have and enjoy life. For example the poor Filipino people still have the courage to feel happy and smile and share what they have..👍🙂
That's because they are not really poor.. 😂😂😂😂 We live simply and humbly, and yet, they make their kids finish college, and many of them have big houses in the province. 😂😂😂 Plus, you can tell that through our smiles, kindness, generosity, and being hospitable. Every fiesta, you can go and eat any home you want to visit, we always invite and let our neighbors feed very well. 😂😂😂😂 You are the example of an ignorant western mindset. We are happy we are kind. We have content and gratitude. And no Rich or wealthy American have that. 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅 Not even your millionaires, and even your billionaires. 😂😂😂😅😅😅 What's the point of being rich and wealthy materially, when you are so poor internally, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually and physically? 😂😂😂😅😅 Bare that in mind.
You have given Story a gift not most have in this lifetime. It doesn't matter which part of the world you are, there will be challenges. May The Most High Yah bless pursuit and lead you in His goodness 🙏
It's crucial to be honest about your motivations and not deceive yourself about them. At the same time, it's essential to genuinely appreciate the places that support your lifestyle. It appears you've struck a balance between enjoying the Philippines and leveraging its appeal for your content. Keep that transparency intact!
Well if she wasn't so isolated with just her parents on a daily basis and I had actual friends there in her area to play with a couple times a week. But no, I think she'd be happier if she had some children to play with
It's getting worse here in the UK. Everyday someone is killed, a knife crime problem. A young 14 year old yesterday was killed by a man with a sword. You hear the same news everyday so scary....
The culture and the environment in a place will affect or change your outlook in like. It is always your chose, your decision. What are you looking for or what do you want? There is no perfect place but just what you said, there should be a balance in life. Thank you.
It's nice to see some parts of old vlogs! You can see how much Story has grown 😘. Beautiful memories. Love those vlogs during covid time. Things were very basic and you guys had adopted it so well, the Filipino ways! 💕
in the world that is changing drastically. lots of things happening, we have to choose to live to the fullness and choose what makes you happy and better person. stay hydrated and cool

You've inspired me to believe that this life is possible if you just try and have the courage. Thank you for that, you've no idea how much its opened my eyes. Thank you for sharing your journey and your lives and continue the good work. On another point you mentioned about the work behind the scenes you guys do to make this life possible, it would be cool to have a video about that, how you work, daily work habits etc if it was something that you guys were willing to share.....a sneak peak behind the scenes.
i think one thing thats generally more better in other countries than here in the philippines is animal care, rights and protection as well as how we treat our nature too. hope we improve on it too
I homeschooled all my 4 and I was so glad it was so easy in the UAE. America has too many rules. We moved around a lot so homeschooling was best for us. I loved the freedom.
Hey guys! I've been following through your videos before the pandemic and I just want to tell you that your videos are one of the few factors that made us consider enrolling my youngest sister into a homeschool program (under the charlotte mason curriculum) here in the PH. I really admired the freedom that you had and the lifestyle that you maintained. Ever since home-schooling her, we noticed improvements with our schedule and our family getting closer as well! I'm very grateful to have made the decision and I would like to thank you for sharing your stories to us! You inspire me in so many ways. Supporting you guys from Cebu !
Thats why lots of us still wants to retire in the Philipines. We have our extended family or community to take care of us and retirement money can go a long way.
I have been a silent viewer of your channel. I appreciate your every uploads content coz it brings serenity and relaxation. The sorroundings are very beautiful. I wish to live in an environment like yours. You're so lucky. Wishjng you and your family safety always.🙏🏻🥰
The Storm"..you will learn it from the Filipinos how to rise up after every storm in life and be happy again..Family Togetherness" no matter how beautiful in other countries we've been to and make money there, we still longing to be back in the Philippines home & family..Christmas, summertime.,specially the neighbors & friends its a different feeling to be back and see them again. Thank you for sharing. Godbless!
i think, you can sell your merch on local accessory cosmetics clothing apparel shops there on the island; collaborating with the local shops/stores. hehe. i thought i could help.
Yes well story needs friends or her cousins growing up but she has neither 😮 she's isolated with just you guys so maybe some activities with kids in the Philippines There's got to be something she can do with other children in your area because it's about your kids!!! not about you!!!!! lol right!!! ,, also, I don't think the UK gives you a penalty unless the kids are enrolled in public schools. So if you take your child out of a public school system and you take a longer vacation days than you're supposed to, then maybe you'll get fined But if you're homeschooling in the UK, you don't get fined because you're homeschooling, so you should be more clear on that
This is can very true. My family has always housed our grandparents until they passed. Even when we moved to America this was the case. Additionally, Polynesians are very family oriented as well, not just with immediate family, but also with extended family, as you mentioned.
You are absolutely right ! My kids are half American and they don’t leave with us anymore though I always tell them they can come back to live with us after college but not for my kids they a like their adulting life they know that we are always there for them.
In Philippines public & private school there is no such thing as "fine" for being absent in school. You can send an excuse letter or talk to the teacher that the student will be absent for so & so days. It is up to the student to catch up on missed discussions & exam.
It's too expensive to live in the first world country. I'm here in California, and the most expensive state in the US. I can't wait to retire back home.
The fact is that you have chosen not to be with family. You have chosen to live on your own so far away that it is a burden for any of them to visit. The children will forget about each other over time and will not be close as adults. Frankly, it's over. I know I have seen it many times. Promises and wishes (and videos) don't make it happen. Just the simplicity of daily life. Going through the ups and downs together. Sitting on a beach is meaningless. It is not paradise. Your true values are becoming apparent regardless of what you preach.
Agree with most of what you are saying in this vlog 👍but...I think you contradict yourself. Each to their own of course, but apart from Sasha's father you now have ALL your relatives not 8 miles from home but 6000+ miles away. That to me looks like an even bigger split. Affordable housing and land is still very much available within Europe, a stone throw away from your family in UK.....Greetings from Sweden
You are no longer a foreigner here in the Philippines,Jay. Same to shasha and story. You live more than a year here, so you should not consider yourself as foreigner at all.
Life and culture of the Philippines is finally rubbing on you plus resilience in the face of challenges. Still can’t figure out what your emphasis on most of you intro “We are a British family” . We know faces of foreigners .
In the Philippines, if the siblings are raised properly, they support each other. It, gives the feeling that you are not alone in the world, because there are relatives to go to for support. Of course it is important to be a team player, not just a free loader.
England is so dreamy... foggy. It's so eery and cold, to the point of kind of creepy. It's kind of depressing in a place like that. Here, it's very warm. So uncomfortably warm.
You guys are simply NORMAL PEACEFUL HUMAN BEINGS....
