Hi! Good on you for getting those Hoffman 1As to work better at the lower settings. I'd just about given up on working with those vents except at the higher settings. Nice idea! Thanks! My go-to vent is the Vent-Rite #1for ease of *and reproducibility* of adjustment, and they can be used to shut off the radiator (most of them, anyway). True, the Hoffman 1A does vent faster, when needed. In your description and/or comment section, maybe give time stamps for the various topics covered so folks could go to their particular area of interest.
Thanks. I wasn't happy with the Hoffman Vents. I will definitely use the Vent-rite next time I do this for someone. I will Definitely post some links to Heating Help, Your Channel and some of the Products that I used.
I like your videos. I have the similar problem with my heat. The vents are not working properly and evenly. And the water temperature is very very hot. Showering is a big problem. I have to crank up the heat, so can take a shower. In the middle of the night no heat.
Thank you..I woke up this morning..heat on 45 degrees..pressed reset button it started the boiler..valve in upstairs bedroom leaking..thermostat was set at 64 boiler turned off at 59 started again..Radiator making all kinds of noises..I put some towels on floor by leaking valve..now to see what’s the issue..I have an automatic water feed...
17 years young and in the Trades……best move you’ll ever make! My Father always said: “A Man willing to work with his hands will work for life!”
Thanks Eddie
By the way I'll be turning 19 this February 15th

Why does the tighyening and loosening of vent and packing nuts appear to be reversible threading?
The camera flipped some of the footage. Although I flipped the footage that was reversed it didn't go through for some reason.
It suppose to tighten the valve and vent with clockwise, How come it take counterclockwise to tighten the valve?
My camera flipped the footage and my video editor wouldn't flip it back.

Good video ! I just Subscribed too.
Thanks mike I appreciate it. I've been watching your videos for about 3 years now.
What does it mean when your pipes bang?
Do you have a auto water feeder? Maybe the valve you use to fill furnace is bad and bypassing to overfill.
