I got a call from IIM-A at 89%ile (General category). Yes, you read that right. No extra curriculars, no achievements, no professional qualifications, no extraordinary acads. At this point I feel as though it was sent by mistake. Honestly, I'm not even hopeful, but would certainly give it my best shot. In fact, I believe that the fact that I'm totally hopeless will actually be beneficial for me to keep cool nerves. On a side note, your videos are amazingly motivating, Shweta. Tbh, students at the IIMs are respected by each other for their individuality. Most people who share their experiences online happen to be extroverts which is probably why you feel that way. I'll surely try to check with some of my batchmates as well and create a video soon :)

Hey diii , recently I have join time for cat 2021 . In quant classes there is not much concept building mainly they show how to solve handout fast . Should I change my faculty for quants or continue with same and do concept building myself before the class ?
I preferred to read the concept's intro before class to be better prepared. Having said that, I'm surprised to hear that the faculty is not teaching the basics. Talk to the team if you can change your batch. Else refer to the videos on UA-cam as a supplement for the concepts you're unable to understand by yourself.

Thank you so much, it means a lot 🤗 I'll try creating a video on that. But, just so that you can make a timely choice, I'd recommend you to take a mock. Just see your comfort level with the different sections. That's one of the best ways to see if you can crack the exam without coaching or not. Also, watch some conceptual videos on YT for free. If you're understanding the concepts through the free material here or on Unacademy, you'd just need self-prep books. Not a big deal to crack it by yourself.

First of all i loved this video and feel so blessed that atleast someone is providing some ''raw'' information on the platform! secondly i have a ques, i am a non eng and from a middle class background. Sometimes i think even if i score a really decent percentile in the CAT, would it be a good option for me to invest such a big amount in MBA. What if after everything m not well placed and satisfied with my job. Should a person who is not from a very financially stable family do MBA or get a job just after the college? I'm sorry i know it's not a question for you to answer but please let me know your opinion.

You get collateral free loans (refer to the EMI video) and your placement is assured. But, if you don't get a good enough college, then it's better to work first, save up first and then go for MBA. Hi shweta Just wanted to ask, if I'm not able to finish my notice period at my company before these forms are sent to us to be filled then the payslips would have to act as a proof of employment along with the joining letter, right? However, my company has somehow messed up my payslip and my name(my family surname is appearing in it, although I don't use my family's surname officially) is appearing wrong in it which can't be changed now. So will that affect the process anyhow? The joining letter has the correct name

Hi, I had a question regarding the grading conversion system. I made a mistake by multiplying my cgpa by 10 instead of 9.5 in case of my class 10th cgpa. Now since your university produced the conversion rate after you submitted the form so it's a genuine explanation as to why the mistake occured in your application form but since I made a mistake with my class 10 will that affect my candidature? Note : Even if my CGPA is multiplied by 9.5 it still stays in the same category. As in if it was 88% previously it'll change to 83.6%

Those are some really great questions, Aakruti and I can see that you're really passionate for entrepreneurship. But, I may not be the right person to say anything on this matter because I don't have any experience of entrepreneurship myself. I'd suggest you to network with entrepreneurs on LinkedIn. Out of the questions you asked, I'm only aware of the 3rd and the answer to it is - yes, you can have your business side-by-side MBA but if it's an MBA from IIMs, it's generally hectic there. I want to know.... If a person lives very far from cities where interviews are generally held(1-2 day distance).He/she has to travel for every interview( as dates vary)?

I had a question regarding the grading conversion system. I made a mistake by multiplying my cgpa by 10 instead of 9.5 in case of my class 10th cgpa. Now since your university produced the conversion rate after you submitted the form so it's a genuine explanation as to why the mistake occured in your application form but since I made a mistake with my class 10 will that affect my candidature?
Note : Even if my CGPA is multiplied by 9.5 it still stays in the same category. As in if it was 88% previously it'll change to 83.6%

Those are some really great questions, Aakruti and I can see that you're really passionate for entrepreneurship. But, I may not be the right person to say anything on this matter because I don't have any experience of entrepreneurship myself.
I'd suggest you to network with entrepreneurs on LinkedIn. Out of the questions you asked, I'm only aware of the 3rd and the answer to it is - yes, you can have your business side-by-side MBA but if it's an MBA from IIMs, it's generally hectic there. Hope that helps. Best wishes ❤️
