Well it's kind of disappointing because I was actually going to be able to see 611 until they decided To move her to Roanoke I wish it was at least delayed for one month

I loved those "then and now" shots of Luray and Stanley! I wonder if the restaurant that was on the right side of the street in Stanley down by the tracks is still in business as it was in O. Winston Link's time?
On another railfan video the videographer said one the 611 crew told him there were "plans" for 611 as far as operation goes but wouldn't elaborate. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

It's awesome to have you back rowan! It's like old times. I love 611, i don't know why but almost every time i see this locomotive it touches my heart and brings a tear to my eyes. All steam locos have this effect on me. I heard 611 was going away. I wonder why? Hope its not for long... You and jackson need to do a video Rowan. 🙂

Great video Rowan! I’ve always wanted to see 611, any steam train really, I have seen SOU 630 tour the CNO&TP but that was 2013 I think and I was really young and don’t remember much of it, I would have been 3 to 4 when that occurred

So fun and exciting that you get to see this trains for the 3 time in a video you should come to Alabama to see the dixie line locomotive that carried coal for Memphis Tennessee to Birmingham Alabama in the 60s.

What do you use for your audio when narrating your videos off camera. I've been doing some narrating on my videos lately, but I'm never able to achieve a "professional" sounding audio like you and distant signal produce.

The 611 has operated at Strasburg for a few years. It seems the market for that location has played out. The 611 trains at Strasburg haven’t sold as much train tickets as they have back in 2019. Its best for 611 to go run excursions somewhere else, so other folks from other regions can experience 611.

PTC is required in all mainline trains, including ferry moves. 611 is unequipped

Very good question, I should address this in my next live! I've had weed spray trains, ballast trains, I've rescued stalled trains on mountains, quite a lot of fun!
