Doctor Who Review of Season 1 with Ncuti Gatwa's Premiere for Disney+. The BBC and Disney teaming up to take on a part of British cultural heritage may sound like the story of a horror movie, but it turns out the reality is far worse. With 2 episodes being released on the same day you would expect Disney to come out with their best content, if they did, you'd never know. Space babies and the 2nd episode musical are a league above previous Doctor Who for all the wrong reasons. And While Ncuti Gatwa may be Ncuti Gatwa, he's not Doctor Who. You spend most of this episode wondering why you're getting lore dumped and the plot never makes sense, while the acting is just as abysmal. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)
"Best Doctor of the series" ... well it's series 1 again, right? So he's the ONLY Doctor of THIS series! (EDIT - and that's why I should wait till the end instead of pausing). Also; uncanny valley on those babies 'talking'.
The best part is the BBC blaming the “nice” weather for low viewership even tho the show released at night. They literally blamed people touching grass for the show bombing
My parents watched every previous episode from Christopher Eccleston through to the new David Tennant episodes on release. After watching Ncuti's first episode over Christmas, even they didn't watch this crap.
Yeah back when Matt Smith began I would be so eager to watch every single episode as it aired, it was a special thing, it made me so excited so it didn't matter what the weather or time was. I would set time aside to watch it! .... I have not watched one single Jodie Withaker episode, and there's no way I'm going to watch any of these either. I can't stand a person like this hating the country that saved him as a refugee instead of hating the people that made a refugee in the first place. If things are so horrible in white England, he can always go back to Rwanda. It's lovely, I've seen pictures from it. It's beautiful and developed now with breath taking nature. He's no longer a refugee, he can go home -_-
Capaldi would have been perfect for this episode. Baby: "did I grow up wrong?" Capaldi Doctor: "you haven't grown up at all, you're a baby! Haven't you noticed? Everywhere I go, pudding brains!"
The really funny thing about this messaging is if you listen to this scene... I get what they were going for "you should accept everyone for who they are". But if you listen to it they are legit. If no one grows up wrong then trans people aren't in the wrong bodies therefore medical transitioning shouldn't be allowed? This is the problem with ideologies you can't stay logically consistent. But hey look at the the first gay, black, TERF Doctor.
@@hunteranubis Capaldi had some of the highest highs in the series and some of the lowest lows. Personally, there's still not a single episode that tops heaven sent for me. But I think Moffat spent too long as show runner then and the show became incredibly inconsistent because of it.
Moffat is actually my favourite showrunner. He didn't have the strongest seasons, but they were mostly enjoyable. Chibnall was the worst, without doubt and now RTD has gone woke so he is no longer the favourite. It's like he used all his good material on Eccleston and Tennant and had nothing left afterwards.
"Remember everyone, the monster that likes to predate upon small children wasn't born wrong and should be protected at all costs." Nice message BBC. What was the creature's name - Saville?
"Remember, no one is born wrong, and everyone grows up to become who they were meant to be, and everyone is meant to be their authentic selves and that is a good thing" said the Doctor to baby Hitler.
@@heavyhebrew Wonder if he'd say the same thing to a kid paralyzed from the neck down from cerebral palsy or some shit. "You were meant to be born a genetic failure incapable of even the simplest acts of bodily motion, and that's a good thing!"
Ive got to say that the on-the-nose message of the episode being "you need to accept into your communities people that literally want to kill you" has to be some of the most blatant, insidious woke messaging i have ever seen
The pathetic part is this show is meant for the gay audience so basically "Don't get upset voting for communities invading your country that will throw you from a roof if given the opportunity because racism"
@@billjacobs521They seem to be performing an amateur theatre play, not realising that the lines between brackets are stage directions and must not be spoken aloud.😂
I think I can sum this up pretty quick. Doctor who showrunners raise middle finger to fanbase. Fanbase doesn't notice because they left the building a long time ago.
Pretty much, I tried a few episodes after Capaldi but it was so cringe worthy I quit and never looked back. I had some degree of hope with Russel and Tenant coming back for a special, but even that was false hope.
Makes sense. After all the building was on fire. Just no one has called firefighters and people like Disparu have brought us marshmallows and sticks lol
So the message is that children who never grow up would be perfect and monsters that wants to prey on them are misunderstood and shouldn't be harmed. Curious...

Doctor Karen lol. Pretty fitting. And yeah, the inherent British-ness of the show has always been a source of its appeal to me as an American, too. A Doctor Who has only 2 requirements for the leading man (other than obviously being a good actor for the part) 1) Be a man. 2) Be a Brit. New guy has a strong accent, but he doesn't sound British at all. He should've done what David did. Tennant's natural voice is Scottish, but he did a BBC English accent for the role.
"We've created this new doctor!" "What's he like?" "Well he's gay!" "Okay cool, but whats unique about him" "He's black" "Rad but what I mean is whst is his personality wjat makes him interesting" ... ... "Fuck I knew we'd forgotten something" ...
What makes him interesting? “WHAT MAKES HIM INTERESTING” YOU ASK?!? He’s black, he’s gay…he’s FLAMBOYANTLY gay, and he’s black! What else does one need, but a flamboyantly gay black man? Trans representation? DONE!
So Davros is no longer allowed to travel around in a chair with wheels but space babies are? I’m sure Dante talked about a special ring of Hell for people like you, Russell.
Lol it's like everyones forgotten RTD created the best series of this show. So wouldn't suggest the problem lies with Disney and studio interference, considering Doctor Who has been going this way for years.
I am an American who discovered Doctor Who in 1986 on a public broadcasting network. They were showing Tom Baker episodes and I was hooked in the first viewing. I rediscovered the show in 2005 when it was rebooted with Christopher Eccleston, until Jody Whitaker. I never thought the show could ever be worse than the three years I refused to watch Whitaker. I was WRONG. True fans deserved better than this unwatchable drivel. Thank you Disparu for keeping it real.
@@vincent207 no point for keyblade wielders, we don't know how long it has been since the era of missing link or at least what happened to everyone living on that scala.
Doctor calling the babies "space-babies" fells like a Family Guy sketch parodying Dr. Who. I can hear Lois saying: - They are just babies and we are all on a space ship, Dr. Peter, there's no need to call them space-babies. Peter, pressing his finger to Lois' lips: - Shush, my lovely space-idiot. When you are space-wise and space-old as space-me, you'll space-understand... He-he-he-he-he... Peter turns his face into the camera and laughs. The camera angle changes to show that Peter stares into a wall and laughs. Lois looks at Peter, then at the wall and rolls her eyes.
Nah it feels like Doctor Who parodying Doctor Who. Season 9 - episode Sleep No More "No one adds space in front of words just to make it sound all high tech and futristicy, no-one says space restuarant, or space hat" etc
Hahaha, Dr. Peter - Take it from a timelord who fought in the Timewar in my timemachine, it's time people simplify things. The timeagency uses timelocks to combat timey-wimey issues of time, what's so hard to understand about that?
Time the writers invest in a time-thesaurus. Sorry I mean its timetime *. That mistake was a timecrime, I just crossed a timeline into another timeline timetime. Or should I have said, Timetime to get a timewatch with a timeclock and a timetimetimer, my timetimetimelime and timevodka might be timeeffecting my timetimebraintimecells. Need a timebulance and a timepsychotimeagist. You know what I mean? P.S time Edit - Literally just realised I'm replying to myself. Guess I was write about needing a timebulance. Timebye. I think therefore I time.
about the space babies... why the hell did they try the weird lip syncing, when they probably could've glued a bluetooth speaker to the stroller and claimed it was letting them talk with their minds because they aren't mature enough to make comprehensible words physically yet? y'know, a scifi solution...
He's not going to bring in the bulk of black viewers, especially the male ones, with absolute certainty. Which begs the question: Who is this "representation" for? When they push black women it's always the brash, antagonistic, 90s stereotype or lesbian. When it's black men being pushed: flamboyant and gay are defaults. At least less mainstream shows are picking up the slack.
i definitely agree, he's a terrible actor and this show and everything he says in every interview about it are basically all leftist ideological indoctrination which all boils down to white people bad even though they invented democracy and created the most advanced and equitable society ever where the fewest people in human history are dying from famine, warfare, and disease but to him that's "mediocrity" so he's definitely just another braindead idiot living outside of reality.
I really wish they would've cast a different black man to do this role justice. Or go back to the white guys.. I hate that whenever a black man is cast- he can't just be normal. He has to be fat or gay- usually a combination of both. Ncuti Gatwa, has none of the class, sophistication, or confidence of previous doctors. Even Whittaker is better- which is really saying something as didn't like her doctor.
So... flamboyant "chocolateness", test tube babies, pro abortion, pro illegal immigration, and compassion for criminals endangering innocent people. The progressive's greatest hits. Combine that with lore breaking and bad writing and it makes me wonder... What happened to Russel?
This was always him. Nothing happened to them. They were always paving the way for this like an RPG. Everything he ever told you was leading to this. He is a super villain.

@@Drak976 True, looking back he started to insert more and more risky stuff that we let slide. Like the concrete face, bj giving girlfriend in that one episode. At least back then he had to reign it in, now he is off the leash.
Nothing, he's always been a hack fraud. I realized this back in like 2010 when I decided to watch Torchwood and it was some of the worst nonsense I'd ever fucking seen. Then I noticed that he was credited as the writer of exactly zero of my favorite episodes and when things were particularly stupid or the Doctor was acting out of character his name often came up. Look at the rest of his TV catalog and it's really obvious the Doctor Who soft reboot working was despite his efforts rather than because of them, he worked as a head writer only because he got out of the way of the much better episode writers it seems.
How did the quality drop so much in the space of 19 years??? For the record, I was 19 when Doctor Who came back in 2005, and I was amazed by it all. It was a phenomenonal opener. I would challenge anyone to find a 19 year old who would call this quality.
"I've seen some bad stuff, but nothing as bad as this" Said by a timeless agent of good who has been a direct hand in genocides, about a monster made out of baby snot
I thought that when the legacy was burnt to the ground a few years ago, that was the end. I never would have thought that someone would go back and flood the area with radioactive acid just to prove me wrong.
Remember when the Doctor killed a goblin king and was all glib about it? Yet snot monster is where he draws the line? Almost like the writers don't care about character consistency or lore.
The Bogey Man is an English folk creature (a type of goblin) that inhabits dangerous areas, such as marshes or mountains and are said to snatch children and harm lost travellers. The name is a sort of nickname that is a play on the proper name, Boggles. They have absolutely nothing to do with snot or bodily fluid. Dr Who managed to turn a genuinely interesting concept and made it into a ridiculous bastardisation that has little to with the original creature.
I'm a writer who's been struggling to break into the mainstream for 15 years and this is the shit that gets made, a mashup of Rugrats and Alien Resurrection? I give up.

I think my favorite part of the "Born this way" "Nobody grows up wrong" arguments is you can use their favorite word to debunk that. Hey everyone, this stunning and brave person was born this way, they can't help it, and nobody grows up wrong. "So then Trump and Brexit supporters grew up right?" How dare you!
As another commentaror said so brilliantly: _"I loved the part where the doctor shoved the TARDIS up his ass, turned to the camera and said, 'It's bigger on the inside!'"_
Also kind of makes you wonder if they considered the audience they are pandering too. I don't think any T's felt like they were perfect they way they were and almost certainly felt like they grew up wrong. They are so stupid they are firing on their own side and don't even notice it!
I think a good spin on the intelligent baby/better had they not been born COULD have been an interesting moral conundrum, we are always exploring abortion issues on the assumption the baby would actually want to have been born, but what if the baby is so intelligent it can be aware of its situation, adult mind trapped in the body of an infant, aware and sentient, able to communicate but unable to walk, feed themselves etc, that COULD be quite distressing, and since they are intelligent they could communicate tht to people around them, there is our kicking off point to go into mental health issues naturally. Exploring the depression these babies are sinking into as they accept the sad reality of their existence, maybe they become suicidal and ask to be ended with dignity. And THERES our natural flow into an abortion hook with a twist, this time instead of the adults (representhing governments etc) arguing over wether a foetus is life or not cos that angles played out, instead now theres no ambiguity, these babies are telling you they didnt want to be born, so the argument now is wether the adults morally accept that choice even if its not their choice, because it ISNT their choice! And wether it is ethically correct to euthanise them, because they asked for it, or condemn them to a life they dont want to lead just because it goes against YOUR morals. Wouldnt THAT have been a more thought provoking angle? But h.. Im No Russell T Davies so what do i know ay?
I never grew up with Star Wars or Star Trek, so I didn't FULLY understand the feeling of watching an IP you love sound like it's being written by a 5 year old UNTIL Dr. Who. I grew up with 9-12 (technically 13 if we're counting John Hurt's War Doctor, I personally do and I like the number 13 it's and lucky and unlucky number) and I still loved every moment I watched of it. I love it just like Gary from Nerderotic does, it's peak British sci-fi to me and amazingly written. I couldn't get enough of the concept of regeneration, the Timelords, the lore, the companions, the enemies etc. I STILL tear up at so many scenes; John Smith's Rings of Akhaten/Final speech & regeneration, David Tenant's "It's not fair" speech & regeneration, Capaldi's final speech, Rory the lone centurion, Amy & Rory touched by a weeping angle, tragic romance of the doctor and Summer, Heaven Sent speech/ending etc. It was so perfect.... Now it's like watching Blue's Clues or Teletubbies is the best way I can compare the acting. So childish and quirky meta comedy.
yeah, i'm not a fan either(aside liking several scenes i saw on youtube) and damn the quality sickens me...for Doctor Who's fans: if you come to italy, i've a consolatory hug for you(considering this shitshow, you need a hug XD)
@@TwistedReality13 yeah these past previous seasons is just… egregious, excruciating, and cringe. I get Dr Who is a bit over the top, but this episode is an absolute circus of a clown show. Its embarrassing.

I wonder how long it will take for them to change the TARDIS from a police box to a giant dildo, since it’s “just a disguise” and they want to get rid of the lore anyway.

In all honesty, I was starting to tap out in the Matt Smith era, it was too hyperactive and spastic for me, they were diminishing the Doctor before all this, we need a posh, semi-Victorian steam punkish, gentlemanly Doctor, that is well dressed and stoically masculine, the companion should be the fish out of water.
Ironic that these days my conversations and messages to mates are more about what NOT to watch, rather than recommending films/series positively. How did we get here 🤔🤦♂️
Ah yes, I had such a conversation with my brother the other day where I was asking him about a film I knew he'd seen, and rather than asking "Is it good or bad?" I asked "Is it just bad or is it annoying?" It's scifi, which is a genre that has been particularly hard hit in the last years.
Same. Visited my parents and accidentally saw Rings of Power in their TV playlist (They have at least seen all the movies). Asked my mother did you watch it. "Yes". Did you understand it. "I have no idea."
Just to point out, in case anyone wasn't aware, the Bogeyman is a creature from English folk tales, usually used to scare children into behaving. The name is a nickname which stems from the actual name of the creature which is a "Boggle" and "Bogey" has absolutely nothing to do with snot or bogeys found up a nose; The Bogeyman/Boggle is a type of malicious goblin, usually said to inhabit marshes, mountainous places and other dangerous areas.
We say boogeyman up North, because of the accent in my area, I thought it was a buggy man as a kid. I thought it was like a man sized bug with a mixture of characteristics such as an ant, wasp & preying mantas. Which was interesting considering that when I watched "The Nightmare before Christmas." The boogeyman man was a sentient burlap sack full of bugs.
@@rachaelhalliday1193 I'm from up North as well and pronounce it the same, but I didn't want to confuse matters even more. I think the origin of the creature has become forgotten in more modern times so there are quite a few interpretations of the creature that are different, nowadays. I just thought I would shed some light, especially given that the original version would have made for a much better story than some ridiculous snot-monster; The Boggles were said to snatch children and travellers from dangerous places and makes for quite a good story to keep people/children away from such areas.
that is not something that should ever have needed clarification, the bogeyman is known over here too, though most often as a generic monster, and i have never seen anyone confuse it with boogers. and yet...
They know the show is so bad that when you go to the Rotten Tomato page the All Audience reviews are missing/hidden. When you click on the All Audience review tab this is all that comes up. "No All Audience reviews for Doctor Who: Season 1." That's some serious cope if you can only read critic reviews and not the audience.
Wow...the height of Who had something like 15 million views, now it's down to 2 million. SUCCESS!!! And their coveted imaginary audience probably makes up 100k of those numbers, and 1.9 million are people who forgot to turn off their TV.
Imagine having a show that has ran for decades to only be killed in one night then to blame the fans that you insulted for not showing up when you told them to eff off.
New review baseline: "If it wasn't using previously popular IP, would it be good enough as a standalone episode of a new show?". And we all know that they need to hijack popular IP because no one would watch that shit if it didn't have ties to existing IP.

@@thareelhelloagain I think his accent adds a really nice vibe to his performance, however if you mean his tendency to over-act then yeah I completely agree
@@PhyzikTalks It's both, the over acting is the main issue but I do find his accent to be quite ugly and blunt to listen to for a character, The Doctor, that has historically had a pleasant (or at the very least, extremely clear and easy to understand) voice and way of speaking. Gatwa manages to at once be both over acting and also incoherently mumbling his lines and words out in a consistently hard to comprehend fashion. I'm a listener who is more than comfortable with both Scottish and a host of African (including Rwandan) accents, and I still find the way he talks (and especially the way he pronounces his Rs and his Os) to be incredibly repellant and just, as I said earlier, straight up ugly on the ear. It's like he did zero work at all to fit his way of speaking in with the already established character. He doesn't have to sound exactly like any of them, but he probably should sound a heck of a lot nicer and more understandable than he currently does.

I know you think that the reason Russel T Davies is making bad stories now is because he has changed but I would suggest a simpler explantion, maybe when he was running the show before there were people around him who were much smarter and they corrected his bad scripts and now those people have long since left the show and we are seeing what he produces when there arent people around him who know what they are doing.
He managed to bring Who back but I remember when he left as the showrunner and a lot of people basically said "Thanks, but its probably time for a change"
He did in the past though write and produce several other series though. He didn't just magically appear in 2005 with Doctor Who, he had a history of good and very good shows - which is how he got the gig. Including Century Falls, a kids show where, no kidding, a cult of demon worshippers hypnotize a pregnant new arrival into letting her child be the vessel for the demon to be reborn into. Eventually stopped mid-birth in the temple and being set on fire and collapsing with the cult and altar/demon portal trapped inside. A. kids. show. There has definitely been a change!!

I've seen every Dr. Who story. All of them, original and NuWho. Probably several times. I discovered the show as a teen in high school. Honestly what's happening now is less sacrilege when they announced they were doing the female Doctor. When I first heard of this, I honestly thought it was a joke or a hoax, like that one comedy special Steven Moffat did. I never thought the BBC would actually ever do it. That's when they jumped the shark, though realistically the quality was in decline before that from Capaldi's final season. I saw a couple episodes of the Whittaker era just to give benefit of the doubt, but no they were awful. Nothing has changed since then. I hoped it might with RTD back at the helm, but if anything this is even worse. But I'm not surprised. Everything nowadays is just a terrible, woke reboot/remake of something that was once popular and successful and beloved, now as a soulless corporate cashgrab. The madness of unoriginality began with Star Wars in 2015 doing "The Force Awakens" or perhaps even earlier than that with the Trek movies J.J. Abrams also did.
For a refugee who was given everything from a home to opportunities, Creepy Gatwa really doesn't seem to appreciate the care outsiders gave to him as a person, does he? One slight correction though... 'Spoor' is actually a word, and is used to indicate a trail or evidence left behind by someone/thing you're tracking. It's a hunting term. Didn’t Russell already make the butterfly joke before? I could’ve sworn that one of the doctors companions before 11 asked “What if I go back in time and like… kill my grandfather or something, would I cease to exist?” and the Doctor just responded with “You’d kill your grandfather?” or something to that effect. I swear I’ve heard that joke before in New Who.
The cast of Mystery Science Theater 3000 had a problem with the word "space" being a modifier for every item in the cheesiest SF movies they watched. They even did a skit about it: Space forks, space diapers, space mayonnaise, until they finally said in chorus, "MODIFIERS!" I think we have movie sign...
In my opinion I think Russell T Davies's Space Babies makes him look like some kind of Peter File. PS after letting the snot monster live it goes on a killing spree, because some times a snot monster that is trying to kill is going to keep trying to kill.
Yep, pretty much everyone in Hollyweird and any western mainstream entertainment. Growing them in test tubes for food and "other things" is their ultimate goal.
This wasn't made to get more American viewers it was made to get a pretend modern audience that never existed. For some reason, most entertainment execs that happen to reside in America think everyone in the world has converted into this modern audience even though the numbers clearly show they haven't. How they can keep pushing failed ideas over investors intrests that are legally protected is beyond me.
I caught the last ten minutes of it before my gf started watching Eurovision, im still shellshocked at how bad it was.....there's always a twist in the end.....what in the name of good God was that about?!
Ahahaha the twist was the giggles son peeping behind a corner as you missed the beginning. He was sort of involved in finding a genius musician to unlock its cage. As if that matters as if either of us will watch anymore forget about the giggles return 😂😂
The “twist” was that they were dancing the Twist...that is the window licking level of intelligence that we are dealing with when it comes to the writing.
@@jamesturner6979 in that case it didn't go over my head, it went under it! Its such low effort writing that my brain couldn't even stoop low enough to comprehend it!
As an American I never once watched Doctor Who, Black Adder, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf, The Young Ones, or Sharpe’s Rifles and thought you know what, these shows definitely need to be Americanized! This abomination is painful to watch even with Disparu’s commentary.
@@surlyunicorn9461 I actually learned to speak British by watching Doctor Who as a teenager. :D It's the only way I can understand what Disparu is saying. :D But... That was the older stuff.... back in the 90s. you know... back when it was still good. :D
@@marhawkman303 Yeah I learned a lot of what’s probably outdated lingo from those shows too. A few of those expressions are still in use to this day though and at least I know the difference between chips and crisps. lol
Ya know the thing that annoys me... is how just blatant it wants to just skip past character relations and the slowly getting to know each other. Also pissing on the past work of writers built up over decades by keeping the timeless children is just spiteful. Such an awful retcon of what and who The Doctor is and yes it is a retcon. The scene with him telling her pretty much everything about his past is every much not The Doctor to me. All of the previous companions had to work and build up an actual relationship before he even mentioned anything about his past and those drops were vague until he had no choice. The Doctor is a man in pain because of everything about his past and what it was. The Doctor is ever forced to move forward because he needs and loves to help people and yet he knows that companions can stay for but a tiny part of his journey. He knows that and it's why he keeps himself to himself, he also knows how many of his companions life's he has ruined by just being with them.
The problem is you actually like Doctor Who. The BBC has always hated them.. Jodie Whittaker and Chris Chibnall, the devils, actually were hired by the BBC to kill Doctor Who, something the BBC failed to do with the original series in Classic Who. Hence we got New Who. American Who is the dead corpse, after being desecrated, now being used like a puppet, a ugly, disfigured, destroyed puppet, to push whatever message the people who bought it wants to.
It would have been so easy to just not mention the timeless children plot points at all. There's no reason for the Doctor to have even brought it up in a conversation. It's not relevant to anything. Just leave it ambiguous as to whether its still canon or not.
previo0us doctors would have thrown a fit that the lady even vaguely hinted at shutting the machine off and killing a bunch of babies. also i like how the snot monsters was important enough to save, but the fact the law required them to also save babies was somehow a travesty.
The Doctor wouldn't have an issue with killing the monsters either... as far as I remember the 9th Doctor was more than willing to wipe out the Dalek, only Rose saved him. And then again, in the last episode he would have absolutely evaporated the entire Dalek army. I think they killed the plastic monster than controlled the mannequins, too
@@weirdlittlesister The ninth Doctor was fantastic. He was generally a good guy, but he was so stricken with guilt, shame and severe PTSD symptoms, that his hatred could momentarily blind him. And not just his hatred towards Daleks and other wrongdoers, but also towards himself. The generally fair and good man had seen the unfair life at play. He needed the help of a companion to ground him. He needed a wide eyed, naive person to remind thim, that life could still have beauty. And Eccleston played that man amazingly. You never knew when he would switch from happy looney to a bitter, angry soldier. And yet, he was still a man with strong morals and a great conviction.
@@LillyLou Beautifully said. I checked those scenes from Parting of the Ways and I was wrong about the evaporating part. He couldn't do it. When the Dalek overlord asked him "are you a killer or a coward?" he said "Coward." His hands were on the lever and he couldn't pull it. He knew the evil he unleashes to the world by this but after what he has been through, he would have rather be killed by the Daleks at that moment than continue the killing spree any longer. Also in the episode Dalek, he was indeed willing to kill the Dalek, but what held him back was the idea that it could still be redeemed by mutating after encountering Rose's genetic code. That's how you do a moral question right: even thugh the Dalek still stayed the epitome of evil, the moral of the story was that we should at least stop and check for the possibility of redemption before mindlessly annihilate something. Ecclestone was fantastic and will forever be my favourite Doctor. The 10th and 11th were likeable, but they had nowhere near as much nuance and depth in their character as the 9th...
And they made it clear in the episode, where Rose' dad died, that time heals itself. And if a Paradox is to great, there are creature that eat the paradox. So no need for the stupid button.
What got me in the second episode was he said” I’m over there parked in totters rd junkyard with Susan”. Why is William Hartnell not investigating the loss of music?
I'd actually like to see Susan Foreman - or whoever she regenerated into - in a future epis-- No, wait! I take it back! I TAKE BACK WHAT I SAID! I DON'T WANT DISNEY DOCTOR WHO RUINING SUSAN FOREMAN!!!
@@stevenedwards8353 I have no intention of taking the bait. They had an eternity to bring back Susan, Romana, and The Rani. Now they’ll grasp at any straw to bring back the fans, just like they did with Grand Admiral Thrawn to get people to watch “Ahsoka.” Sorry Disney, no sale.

Capaldi would have been perfect for this episode.
Baby: "did I grow up wrong?"
Capaldi Doctor: "you haven't grown up at all, you're a baby!
But hey look at the the first gay, black, TERF Doctor.
even tho Capaldi had horrible episode themes.... he was sometimes brutaly honest sometimes dark and quite sarcastic and I loved it
@@hunteranubis Capaldi had some of the highest highs in the series and some of the lowest lows. Personally, there's still not a single episode that tops heaven sent for me. But I think Moffat spent too long as show runner then and the show became incredibly inconsistent because of it.

Remember when the Doctor killed a goblin king and was all glib about it? Yet snot monster is where he draws the line? Almost like the writers don't care about character consistency or lore.
One episode apart those two are.
though the goblin king was actually eating babies, this creature was just scaring babies.

Hey everyone, this stunning and brave person was born this way, they can't help it, and nobody grows up wrong. "So then Trump and Brexit supporters grew up right?" How dare you!
As another commentaror said so brilliantly: _"I loved the part where the doctor shoved the TARDIS up his ass, turned to the camera and said, 'It's bigger on the inside!'"_
also jack the ripper and some leader starting with H who failed art class.
Do you think indoctrination is how people are born? Do you think babies are born with hate and preconceived antisemitism?
"born this way" and "nobody grows up wrong" also debunks the entire transformer argument.
So Pol Pot was just being his authentic self he was born that way!
So the idea is these children are absolutely perfect the way they are (unable to grow up) but it would have been better if they had never been born?
Abortion is the undercurrent

Hey buddy, take it easy I’m American and there ain’t nobody wanting to watch anything from Disney over here. I miss the old doctor.
They told people not to watch and then they're surprised when people didn't watch?
Ironic that these days my conversations and messages to mates are more about what NOT to watch, rather than recommending films/series positively.
How did we get here 🤔🤦♂️
wrong people won the last great war.
To quote capaldi, "Stop saying that. Nobody says that"
Just to point out, in case anyone wasn't aware, the Bogeyman is a creature from English folk tales, usually used to scare children into behaving.
@14Anon2 I didn't know about it's origin, so I appreciate it. 🙂
that is not something that should ever have needed clarification, the bogeyman is known over here too, though most often as a generic monster, and i have never seen anyone confuse it with boogers.

Weird that. There's apparently 100 reviewers there.

Gatwa makes me want Jody back....and I couldnt even finish the series with her in it.
Why? He's a great actor and he's well suited for the role. Or is it just coz he's gay? The show has massive problems but Ncuti isn't one of them, Jody also wasn't the problem.

He managed to bring Who back but I remember when he left as the showrunner and a lot of people basically said "Thanks, but its probably time for a change"

Thank you for that.

The refugee message was about as subtle as a brick in the face.
So they've killed; star wars, Star Trek, Dr. Who, the witcher, warhammer 40k, halo, and im sure im missing a bunch more. Whats next?
Fallout, Marvel, DC, the atrocious remakes of Disney classics, Pixar has gone to pot...
Only thing I can think of that it been touch is hentai becoming live action, re creating classic like dads army, it ain't half hot mum, only fools and horses etc.
They're desperately trying to get at anime.
Lord of the Rings, Wheel of Time (both not Disney's fault, but still the same sort of people)
Whatever is still popular is next. They won't stop until there's nothing the discerning audience can enjoy.
Remember people, no hate watching. Save it for the UA-cam reviewers and woke crowd. Do Not 'VELMA' this show. Ignore it and let it die, like we all did with Batwoman.
I get my fix out of watching this type of video, not by watching the actual thing
When you think of RTD's once great and nuanced writing during the Ecclestone and Tennant eras and you see that he has now written a so called story about baby's bogies being used to create a bogeyman, really makes you wonder what on earth has happened to RTD's talent over the years. The mind boggles.
