I liked when Phil apologized for taking so long and they were all telling him not to worry, it’s a huge pot. Not sure why but that moment stood out to me
Well its true lol. Guy could take 3 hours it's 600,000 dollars. I would do some pretty terrible things to make 600,000 in 3 hours.
i think they distracted him...he would have called but that broke him out the zone IMO
@@OKG2000I agree he was saying it’s gonna be the sickest call of all time, but he did open the conversation to them by apologizing for the time
@@jesseengland5967 They're also all multi-millionaires and don't lose money on the show regardless.
@@1BergerVongSchlauigkeitHer they 100p lose and win money on the show, it's a real cash game, it's just televised
Gabe Kaplan is a national treasure, love his dry humor narration
Gabe is awesome.
is that the commentator?
he is pure gold !
"Tom Dwan is starting to gulp now." Literally laughed out loud.
his balls were definitely all the way up in his throat
“Dwan looks worse”
*"The man with 9 high bets 123,200$"* Best line ever
9 high. Who has 9 high. Tom has K high because you take the best 5 cards. LOL!
@@kylequatmann2125 he just rep Ak
@@kylequatmann2125 you declare the cards unique to your hand because that's what matters.
@@ntksquare6578 no he rep flop set or AJ, only bluffs that makes sense are diamonds which Ivey blocks hard. Thats the only reason at the end why Ivey doesnt call.
@@kylequatmann2125 That's a moronic thing to say
“ Dwan looks worse “ 😂😂 legendary
The thing is though, it really was just his eyes. Dwan had the best poker face next to Ivey back in the day, so that’s why Ivey didn’t make the call based on looks. Also, Ivey just couldn’t stop imagining dwan have J/9 or A/J
Read your comment at the start of the video and it still had me dying Gabe is the goat
@@spearofconquest actually durrr play it like a Set.. :D
@@spearofconquest and the fact that Dwan had a 9 in his hand makes it a better bluff
It's crazy how good Phil is at gauging people. As soon as Dwan started talking about his eyes, Phil knew. He was cursing under his breath at himself. If you watch again, just watch the relief take over Dwan as he starts complaining about his eyes and his demeanour when he's collecting his chips. It's crazy, Daniels right. Everything you do really does convey information.
I think it's pretty obvious when the hand ended Dwan was nothing but happy and relieved. If he was value betting there would be a bit of disappointment there.
Yeah, I don’t think he was trying to hide it, but he couldn’t come out and scream “GOT YA!”
@@MrGambitttt imagine if he showed the bluff that would be legendary lol 😂
Yep. Look at Daniel right away after Tom starts talking. He knows immediately too
In theory Tom has all of the value hands as played. 1010 KK QQ KQ AJ. IVEY only blocks AJ while simultaneously blocking DURRRS most obvious bluff. Factoring in all off that it's pretty crazy that deep in his heart he knew Tom was up to no good. Durrr is hands down my fav of all time but I wish IVEY would've just flicked it in one time for the single sickest hero call of all time
Every time I watch this I hope ivey calls
Tom Dwan owned Ivey.
@@0world968 abso-fucing-lutely
Yes. He would have.
Me too.
Ivey should have went all in after the flop.
Literally praying lol
7:50. I've watched this hand so many times that every time I shift in my chair I mumble to myself, "Ok, let's think about this a little bit."
This is the craziest bluff I have ever seen, 3 bareel bluff vs Ivey, 400,000 USD total. So sick.
By his nemesis
Cant expect phil laak to be quiet forever
😂😂
7:04 Dwan's soul probably left his body for a minute there.
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
No. He does not over play his roll.
Bring back this show plz.. Its one of the great poker shows of all time.
they did
@@lpslpslpslpslpslps kinda but not really, these HSP vibes was peak poker on tv
The video was cut short. In the original video right after Dwan says something about the light messing with his eyes, Phil Ivey instantly realizes he made a bad fold and stares down Durrr.
You watched the full video but you didn’t get the DVD box set which contains bonus footage. If you watch that, Phil Ivey enlists the help of Daniel Negreanu and potato sacks Tom Dwan as he was about to get in his car.
@@iwishiwasthomasshelbyno cap?
@@egomana9329 Yes, which is the reason Dwan went missing for a few years.
I really like how Antonio is observing Durr. Shows the dedication and focus this guys bring to the table and makes them such exceptional players.
Yeah. Wasn't it Antonio who said he knew he was bluffing? Of course it's not Antonio who was to make that crazy call so it's easy to say
he was probably thinking about whether or not he wore protection when he was pound towning the woman he brought home the club the night before
even someone who doesn't know anything about poker has watched this hand more than 5 times
Don't be so hard on yourself.
Doesn’t know anything about poker but his name is PLO GOD.... 🧐🥱
Yea Yea he wasn’t talking about himself 🧐 🥱
Wasn't until years later until I understood the bluff. Although A9 spades or T9 could be better candidate. I think Negreanu really did know what Ivey had when he makes comment lol.
I don't think the bluff was the crazy part, you would expect Dwan to bet at every street with the way the hand went down. The crazy part is that Ivey seriously contemplated calling.
nah the bluff was the great part
Agree, with such weak hand after big raise
Completely agree. Anyone can bluff, in reality. The fact Phil had a fleeting thought his 6s would carry is, by far, the more impressive thing.
@@dannydamico7312 but he didnt call he folded the winning hand

Those two are the scariest to be up against. It's like a clash of gods with pitted against each other
Thomas Sowell is pretty cool.
To play devil's advocate: Mori Eskandani was the producer of HSP and now produces for PokerGo.
Now I know why I don't find any episode of the show anymore ...
Can I get one of those cupcakes please?
@Ballers Anonymous I feel like you copy and pasted this from somewhere... and I don't think anyone was asking for it....
I don't see your point. There's free videos and paid videos by porn studios as well. They can buy the rights of other studios videos
Dwan's action is just too poetic - I dont know if they shorten the amount of time he considers his action before making it but it looks like he almost immediately bets every street. Theres every possibility Ivey has AJ. Dwan is repping AJ or a set, but even a set value betting the river that much is outrageous. And if ivey missed the draw, why wouldn't dwan check to allow a bluff if he had AJ? Just too poetic
Gabe Kaplan was good by himself but was dynamic with AJ Benza
Gabe Kaplan is a legendary poker commentator funny af
damn toms face if he had called would be priceless. like his face with eastgate but with more tears
But it did not
This hand never gets old!
This is my favorite hand ever for so many reasons.
I love elezra reading Dwan like a book at the end. "What's wrong with your eyes?"
Ivey was 99% sure it was a crazy bluff but the thought of a bluff with a hand like 9-10 suited spooked him where the bluff is still best.
I can imagine Ivey face when he saw this video.

Imagine bluffing the best. What a feeling Damn I wish they would bring this show back with Gabe Kaplan. He is the best poker announcer by far. His knowledge and most of all his humor is right up my alley. Miss you Gabe. Hope all is well with you
You spelt Norman Chad wrong.
Hellmuth is the best. 17 bracelets.
Btw love how Ivey gives people NOTHING emotionally, guy talking about he looks like a baller, not even a chuckle
Ivey's as OG as they get
ivey has the best composure i have ever seen. dont forget, they were both bluffing here. one of them looked like a deer in the headlights and ivey looked like he was eating icecream at home on the lounge. insane.
My favorite hand of all time. Ivey being the best maybe ever, and dwan just with balls big enough to sit on.
I remember watching these
These are old !!!! Time flies
8:03 This is why we absolutely LOVE Gabe Kaplan
Tom Dwan's bluff is unbelievable consider that he had the best hand to bluff with ( no diamond, no jack, no T, no Q), he's also the 3-better which makes the board favors him a lot more. he has a lot of QQ, KK, TT, JAs QKs in his range while Phil Ivey's hand is a lot more marginal ( JKs, TJs, JQs, AQ, ATs). Besides, Dwan chose a very beautiful size ( 70% ) on the river, he didn't want to polarize the bet because it would put him on AJs, which is the bottom of his range, 70% bet indicates that he has all the 2 pairs and sets v.v
However, Dwan's image is totally against him in this hand because he's the type of guy who could easily 3-bet with any hand to steal the dead money preflop and that could be the reason why Phil Ivey thinking that long.
An exceptional hand by 2 exceptional players. Dwan played incredibly in his prime and Phil Ivey was just the best.
Nice analysis
Every time I watch this hand I AM amazed by Tom Dwan. Respect brother ❤🧠
Gabe is by far the best commentator ever. He's articulate, know exactly what he's talking about about (obviously lol), funny in a deadpan type of way, and always gives great insight on the game.
I remember thinking dwan is such a weirdo after I saw this cause of the light in his eyes comment
Yeah me too lmao I think it was just nervous chatter after that hand
Nerves, he didn't know what to say so just waffled on about anything....
Dwan has tons of value here and Ivey even loses to some of his bluffs
right? he turns J-10 or Q-J into a bluff & Phil calls?
You lost to spelling.
They played perfectly both of them and they both new what the other one had. Dwan just used his position masterfully and let’s be real it takes some balls
Ivey would of love a do-over on this one. It's easy to say since you see their cards, but you can tell by looking at Dwan he was bluffing. Even Antonio said after the hand he was bluffing.
2 questions :
6:50 what do you think Daniel puts Ivey on ?
8:34 what hand do you think Ivey feels he only can beat ?
This was PEAK Tom Dwan! He instilled fear into every PRO! He honestly was years ahead of the game
Gabe Kaplan, the best all around commentator for poker on TV.
What a bluff man... Ivey almost call.. Legends right there
Dwan bcame my fav after I saw him playing in Poker after Dark such a great player
Dwan’s poker face is incredible 😂 8:31
Omg you guys the audio comes back in after the actual hand is over? Amazing
Something weird happening. On my phone there was no audio but on the desktop it is fine.
Tom Dwan been bluffing all them school lunches
It's the fact that Phil's insane instincts are telling him he has a chance that makes this so crazy.
Nah he was just Hollywooding for the cameras
@@ernestoA.1999 wasnt hollywooding hes trying to draw any read he can from Tom.

At this moment, Durrrr was playing with Paul Phua's money, Fucking no fear against Ivey. This bluff is beyond bluff!!!
Dwan was the sickest. What a show HS Poker was!
this show was bananas for poker action
I've watched this hand at *least* a dozen times.
I still am in awe when Ivey says that line, "This is gonna be the sickest call of all time."
Oh, it would have been, Phil...it would have been. I still get tingles thinking about it. Some *true* poker degen stuff right there.
The first hand: Ivey today would have raised Dwan's flop bet.
The 2nd hand: Ivey would've checked raised on the flop.
it’s not like tom dwan to give up is one of the best commentary lines of all time
YES
9 High like a boss !!
If Phil took another 10 minutes Dwan would have started going grey with a dozen new wrinkles. He was sweating bullets.
Most entertaining tank ever. Best is Ivey's face at 7:35
No audio, and the problem is with pokergo. UA-cam has zillions of videos, all with sound. Obviously the problem is with pokergo. For them to say otherwise is stupidest thing I've read in a long long time. It's a sign that pokergo will not take responsibility, and that's a very bad sign.
There is audio but its only in one channel
You can tell Ivey got involved with this hand cause Laak was talking like Dwan was the best player at the table. Unfortunately when push came to shove he didn't have the heart or commit (as Tony G says) to make the call 😭
tom dwan is starting to gulp now . lmfao
My right ear, is gonna love it!
These are the exact type of calls that Mike Postle would make on a consistent basis of course, the cash stakes were A LOT lower but the people he was playing against don't exactly have extremely large bankrolls like Ivey or Dwan. But the point is, making a call or a shove (the latter being a move that Postle would often employ as well) in an extremely well played bluff like that is an extremely hard feat to pull off. Combine that and all the other plays that Postle made that not only defied game strategy, but basic common sense as well (also the fact that he would only make these amazing runs and amazing reads while on live TV and he didn't play and win anywhere else while on his crazy streak), and it becomes pretty obvious that he was a blatant cheater...
This was when tv poker was at its best for me personally
This has to be the craziest bluff in the history of POKER , 2nd to this i can only remember greg merson bluffing with QJ on the final table of ME when 3 people were left.
Nah Brad Booth's bluff on Ivey was the goat
@@Ghostone11 Yeah, Booth's bluff was better.
No guys the reason i am saying this because you guys forgetting DURR image in the poker world its hard to believe him when he is betting like that.
Moneymaker bluff vs sami farha wsop 2003 main event.
Greg merson made all the money in 2012 and now he grinds online from the comfort of his home lol
I'm going to take a controversial stance and say NOT the worst bluff ever....
To me the most incredible thing of this video is not the big pot or who won. But the fact that yea it was a nice bluff from Tom, but the way Phil Ivey goes about the hand how he genuinly is onto what tom is doing you can tell by the way he speaks and thinks the hand through he thought he had the best hand.
The audio on this clip is so poor
I was wondering if it was just me
'there might be something wrong with his eyes, might be something with the lights, but there's nothing wrong with his heart'
Watching this hand actually inspired me to play poker for the first time.
Tom Dwain ears so red you can see his face he’s bluffing.
Haha you right. The problem is you might lose to a bluff
Is it just me or is there no sound until the end?
Just you.
Whats wron with ur eyes?
Dwan : must be drugs, i mean lights
6:04 - Laak & Esfandiari having a bromance moment drinking water
Even thinking about calling there is a sign of a great player.
Why is it muted til the end now that's weird.
Negranue, "I think I know what is is.
Ivey, "No you don't."
Negranue, "Yeah, I think I do."
I love watching Daniel Negranue play. He's a very entertaining poker player to say the least. But his arrogance gets on my nerves sometimes. And I'm well aware that he's a world class poker player and one of the best card readers out there, but there's times like this play, where I hear him say that he "knows what Ivey probably has" that gets on my nerves. First off, he was ultimately wrong about his guess, as later revealed in the post game interview, but to say something like that, and the way he said it, and to who he said it to, Phil - 11 WSOP bracelet winning - Ivey, is what annoyed me. Daniel should be a little more humble at times.
What's Tom dwan telling with a 75% pot bet trips or a pocket pair? Gotta be one of those two
his sizebets are PERFECT
I honestly believe Dwan was such a sicko back in these days that he probably bets all two pairs this way aswell. Maybe even Aces. Could be wrong tho.
Here is probably why Ivey folded: Tom 3-bet and bet on all 3 streets while out of position so it looks like Tom’s range is AA, KK, QQ and AK which obviously beats what Ivey has
He should prolly fold the turn if thats what he thought. It came down to the fact that Dwan could have bluffs that beat Ivey there.
Five hundred in the pot you us to tell anything 😂
Daniel thinking he knows what Phil has is ridiculous. I think Daniel was putting him on AQ or something but there’s no way he knew he had A6 lol
''Dwan doesnt like that...he didnt want to hear any enquires from ivey''
Gabe the goat
I was doing 7yrs down prison for a drug related charge, I did the whole 7 playing poker. Which I learned in prison. Everynight I watched poker ♠️ after dark. Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan(Dur) my guys made it bearable. I was the man. Definitely not glorifying prison but I did my thing . STAY FREE!!!
Which season and episode is this. Can someone tell me
Really wann see Drrr to play against GMan n Andy at thr Bike
favorite hand of all times
It is really the best hand I ever saw. Exceptional players going to war against each other and extremely difficult decisions to make in there.
Tom is getting so much info from ivey on 4th street when he ivey calls.
the reason dwan is a legend is he didnt even bother to show his hand after Ivey folded. Any mere mortal would instantly show to get street cred
he’s bluffing in a 675k dollar pot while I shit my pants for 20 dollars
Nice bluff !
“500 in the middle. 4? 450??”
Go back to sleep kid
Dwan looked scared to death that Ivey might call. Helluva bet
What's crazy is there is so few bluffs Dwan can have in that spot that Phil can beat. Would have been the sickest call of all time.
"How much you start this hand with Durrrr?" He should have raised after asking him that.
Would be really curious to see if Ivey would have called with a hand like AQ or AK.
He doesnt have those holdings due to preflop action ivey would of 3bet those holdings durr would 4 bet 98 cause his in the small blind and would of folded to a 5 bet if ivey had Ak would just call with the AQ and probably would of call down with that hand cause now his just losing to a few combos of Tens and Kings 12 to be exact
right I think Ivey did not make that call because there can be times when Dwan bluffs with a 910 too to fold the better queens so he was losing to a 10 as well .Ivey knew in his gut he was weak but some weak hands beat him too. What a hand though
@@carlospena5501 Ivey could definetly have AK and AQ in his range, have in mind that Ivey is 1200bbs deep at this point and Dwan is close to 900bbs deep, 4 betting AQ is pretty stupid unless you want to turn your hand into a bluff, Ivey is also in position, calling AKo for deception is definetly something he can do here, The problem with Iveys hand here is that he probably knows that Dwan is bluffing, but he loses to some of his bluffs, The only hand that comes to Ivey mind that he beats are J8 of diamonds, but he probably thinks Tom could have a hand like J9s and J10s or Jacks aswell, which he looses to. I dont think Ivey is putting him on 89ss.
Still, to this day, this is the most suspenful hand to watch while eating tostitos with elote .
Without seeing the cards, you could somehow tell that it was a bluff (keyword:somehow). Durrr looked so relieved when Phil folded.
Super Crazy. Phil is a lot of fun to watch, a study in nuance. He does all of these little moves to pry tells out of his opponents. Grabs the chips, starts stacking them, Says this is gonna be the sickest call, etc... People wonder why he's as food as he is and besides being Super Lucky (A LOT) he great at getting the slightest reaction that will expose your feelings, lol. I'm not joking, next time you watch him play, for as long as they show him on the vid- pay really close attention to what HE does. I am hyperactive and that includes details and watching the subtlety's of everything, especially people, you can see everything he's thinking if your paying enough attention.
Dwan looks constantly like hes smoked some super heavy duty weed, only people who can afford to make 250000 million dollar bluffs can get thier hands on
Still looking for that plug lol
