eyyyyyyy, Hipyo! Glad to catch your eye! I don't think I've seen anybody else do a keyset like this, all at once, but it was fun learning how to do this!
I may try and do that here in the future, when I have a throwaway set of SA. The set that I have is too nice for me to want to mess them up! I don't know if I can find copycats that have a good shape and retain row sizing, but we'll see! Great suggestion, definitely has been on my radar. I'll check out MA, haven't looked at that, yet
Cool! I'm making my own right now, key by key, using a mold set from Amazon. It's working, but the keys are different heights? And the spacebar ends up being too heavy, so it looks like I will have to make my own mold for that.
So I started using the same mold from Amazon just to get comfortable and better understand the problems that could happen. I definitely suggest experimenting using that mold set and trying out stuff with UV resin just because you don't have to wait. Not only will those sets have problems with height but you also have problems with their positioning. The gaps between the keys will shift quite a lot. A millimeter here and a millimeter there can cause huge problems. If you make a mold where every single key is shifted by the exact same direction and the same amount then there won't be any issues. What I did ultimately was just to save a bunch of time although not every single switch is perfect and there are tiny bubbles here and there, it accomplished what I wanted.
Yes, however it is hard to pull off because you have to paint the layers backwards, and the keycaps are hard to make look cohesive. A flag, or things that have simpler shapes work best. If you've ever painted on glass, you'll find it's rather hard to do.
I was traveling when I made the video, and the one I recorded, I accidentally left the noise cancellation on :s I'll probably record it and post it just by itself, if you want! It does have a good sound, really low pitched
woah

i’ve been planning this for weeks now, now i have a great visualization of what i’m planning to do, thanks man!
Go for it!
You should try making the MA or SA profile keycaps.

nice :D
now we just have to upgrade your setup with a set like this :P
Is it possible to make a key caps set of like a favorite band? Like EDV or Metallica.

No typing test!?
