    OK, these are DELICIOUS and the best keto waffles I’ve tried They have a wonderful texture and they taste like how I always wanted all the chaffles and other keto waffles I’ve made to taste. I used the unflavored Equip powder and 5-6 drops of stevia and vanilla extract and they were perfect. Barely sweet and kind of custardy. 💛

    I love this protein powder! I quit coffee a while back and was always wanting a latte type drink. So I use a scoop of vanilla powder, an egg yolk and two tablespoons of grass fed butter. Add 6 to 8 ounces of hot water and froth it up with a electric milk frother. It taste like a hot eggnog. Sooo delicious and very comforting.
    I’ll be making your waffles tomorrow for sure! Thank you.

    Hi Nili, I just came across this and thought I would give it a try. Normally I use 5 whole eggs, 2 scoops of whey isolate protein powder, 1/2 cup sour cream. I never get any shrinkage, unless I use more egg whites than yolks. So I think it's a combination of the egg whites with the beef protein powder. I don't use any baking powder as I'm at 5000 ft. I used equip unflavored powder and got shrinkage with whole eggs, and I added some egg yolk powder. This reduced the shrinkage a bit. When I used only egg yolk powder, I got no shrinkage.

    Before I saw you had a video with Equip...I had just made some on a whim, watching another channel that used crushed pork rinds. I didn't have pork rinds, so I thought, why not try my Equip vanilla protein powder?!? I used 1 Tbsp of vanilla Equip powder, 3 egg yolks, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 Tbsp melted butter....and it was thick, so I added a Tbsp of water....and voila! So, all you need is some water! I spread some butter on top....and YUM! It made about 3 waffles in the same waffle maker you have, but the next time I'll try adding 2Tbsp of water and it should spread better.😊

    That is one of my pet peeves when reading reviews of recipes and they say it isn’t good but then they write how they changed it, so they really didn’t make the recipe. The waffles look really good, I will have to try them. 😊

      The tweeks and ideas in the comments are a way that a lot of UA-cam creators come up with new videos and it helps a lot of the viewers who also didn't like it to fix it a different way. Who cares if it's not the original recipe? I love going through the comment section and finding additional ways to make something. Comments, good or bad, help the UA-cam creator's video get more views. It's not bad for people to share how they altered someone's recipe. It is usually welcomed.

    Nili! This was such a cool experiment! I know that Kelly Hogan has said she doesn’t bother with the baking powder because she gets enough rise without it, could it be that the protein powder would make it possible to completely eliminate the baking powder? It was funny when your video popped up, my daughter and I had just finished making some with chocolate MCT Powder and we were discussing how it might actually work with protein powder. Haha you read our minds! ☺️

    I have used the Equip to make German pancakes and it works great. I also only put a few sprinkles of water to loosen up batter for waffles, it seems to evaporate as it cooks and not add as much moisture to the end product as more eggwhite or cream does. Now that the weather is changing I am sure I will be using your method for some waffles! I only have the vanilla and strawberry but will put some black cocoa into the vanilla and play with that. Thanks as always!

      I would try the lupin flour. It was good as pasta. I wouldn't recommend corn because besides soy it's one of the biggest gmos and one of the biggest veggies that causes gut issues. It doesn't even get digested.

      @@RobertTaylortaytorhead wow is it an extract? That's an idea. I think also if you try adding another type of veggie it may taste corn like. I know squash or sweet potatoes would do it. I know sweet potatoes aren't low carb and have alot of oxalates but if you just make it for a special occasion like a bday or holiday it maybe worth a try.

    • @RobertTaylortaytorhead
      @RobertTaylortaytorhead 2 роки тому

      Amoretti popcorn extract it's very potent. one or two drops is all you need. I've tried a bunch of keto cornbread but none with just egg yolk and butter. Lupin flour might give it the cornmeal feel.
