2 alternate tying methods for the Invisible Shoe Huarache Running Sandal. For adults and kids. Both methods do not require a knot under the big toe. I have used Method 1 (shown) since May 2011 and love it! I have hiked many miles in the mountains, trail run, and everyday use.
I highly recommend the CONNECT 4mm or the Contact 6mm.
    PART 2: How to TIE
PART 3 shows another variation that does not have the cord between the toes.
Method 1 shown is main method I use.
Method 2 is similar to Chaco Z2 style (incorrectly call it Z1). This method works great for casual use. It does not work well for running or hiking as the cord rubs under the toe where the cords cross. This would likely be alleviated with a flat cord that slides.

I think I may have done the same thing for the first day, and then loved it so much that I cut it to length. Glad you like them!

Fantastic - I switched to fisherman's knots and they're perfect! My only issue now is what to do with all the extra cord, I've spiraled it around and away for now, but if I'm still this happy in a couple of days I'll just cut it off.
Thanks again - these are awesome!

That's great to hear! I switched to using a fishermans knot to tie the 2 ends together. This is really easy and even cleaner. If you query this type of knot on you tube, you will find a tutorial. Just make sure you have the knot as far back towards your ankle as you can. I cut mine a little long at first, in case I need to adjust. I also wait a few days to make sure the tightness is correct before i apply the shoe goo on the bottom (critical to keep cord protected). Good luck!

I have been using this style for a year now and love it! I hope you enjoy too! Sorry, I do not know how long laces are as I used the cord that comes with Invisible Shoes and just cut the extra once I'm done tying (leaving some extra until I know the tightness is correct). The length will vary depending on shoe size. It has been a long time since I tied a pair, my best guess is that I cut off about 10in from the pre-cut cord.

I just got my invisible shoes and I am so excited! Your tutorial is so clear and helpful, I used method 1 and they look pretty good - except I can't quite figure out how you do the second slip knot. That's the one part of the video that I can't see :) I kind of winged it and it's okay, but doesn't look as neat and tidy as yours. Any advice? Thanks!

Tried running with the standard tie hole (none holes on the side). Sandal just slides left and right under my fore foot. Hate it! Made 4 more holes (Sonya pattern) and am switching to your classic tying style. Hope it controls the front of the sandal from slipping side to side when running.

I had the same feeling when I first made mine almost 4 years ago. I have continued to use this Method 1 since 2011 and it works well for me, keeping the sandal close to my foot with minimal sliding side to side. I hope it works well for you!
