Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

My father was really short. He was 5'1" until he was 21 and then grew to be 5'6" at his tallest. He was part of the elite Army Special Forces (Green Berets). He couldn't have cared less about his height. His nickname was "Runt" and he used it proudly. He was a giant of a man, just short in stature.

The guy who wouldn't let the girl sit on his lap was totally in the right in dropping her on her butt. I cheered him for his strong boundaries and clear loyalty to his GF. I'm a woman and was highly disgusted by her entitlement, basic lack of manners or propriety in thinking she could just come up to sit uninvited on his lap. This is exactly the kind of pushy sexually harassing behavior we ladies despise when done to us by guys and call out them out for ...so why do some of us think we can act that way towards them? That clip showed that like us women not all men like or desire being taken liberty with so don't assume they do ..so stop it ! She deserved what she got in being totally rejected and dropped on the ground .

I once had an elderly woman come up and sit on my lap.. when I was a 5 year old CHILD, during a class excursion on a public bus. We were crammed in 3 kids per seat and this woman chose me to make her point - that we should stand up and let our elders have a seat if there were none spare. This was the 80's. No one batted an eye. Not even the teacher. I'm still mad about it.

I once, on a crammed bus pulled a 6yo onto my lap in a split second decision without asking because she was in the way of people getting off and her dad (who had the baby brother on his lap) was at the very back and she was stuck in the aisle and she obviously didn't wanna be separated; that way it was only two seats and then once they'd all cleared out she could sit with her family and they were grateful.
But 💯 agreed, there are SOOOO free exceptions to "Do not sit on others' laps!" (/or pull them onto yours)! ❤

Meanwhile how many Europeans never leave Europe? More Americans would leave to visit other countries but when you can't afford it financially or see foreigners belittle Americans at best - why would we want to go to those countries? One state in the US is like one country in Europe. Fact is travel for Americans just isn't the same for Europeans, people should stop comparing the two.
I do agree most Americans aren't interested enough in other countries and I can list plenty of things I hate about my own country (I'd leave if I weren't so poor) and will happily criticize it, but I'll also defend it on points I don't think are valid. At least that guy was actually in the US and clearly showing he's been here, so his opinions have significantly more weight. I tend to not take most foreigner's opinions on America seriously. I quite enjoyed the cranky old man's take 🤣

I worked with a short man. I'm (F) 5'9". He said he was 5'4" but he was closer to 5'2" and he had a hang up about it. Once when a bunch of us were going to a coworker's wedding, he saw me and another woman get (about 5'8") out of our cars near his. We were both wearing heels which put us near 6 feet tall. He looked up at us and called us a "freak of nature". I said "hang on a minute! The average woman is 5 feet 6 inches, and I'm 5 feet 9 inches which puts me at 3 inches over the average. The average man is 5 feet 10 inches and you're 5 feet 4 inches, which puts you at 6 inches below the average. Now which one of us is the "freak of nature"?" He stomped off in a huff. Silly boy. My favorite Will and Grace moment ever was centered on the assumption that a person's body count means a lot of sex. Like, say Person A is in their 30's and has slept with 50 people, but only one night each. Person B has only slept with 3 people, but dated each person at least 1 year (52 weeks in a year). Assume Person B has a once-a-week average for sleeping with their partner. Person B has had A LOT more sex than Person A, but person A would be judged by insecure men. It's crazy sauce and I'm not surprised these men haven't tried to count our toys towards our body count too (insert eye roll).

@@lucaleone4331 Have you NEVER become angry about a situation that nobody fixes, when that is their job to fix it?
Just as one example: pot-holes in the street go on as problems for YEARS in some places but the county or city won't drag the equipment out of the barn to fix the problem. The mechanic shops love it because it is extra income for them. But straight-up, for whatever reason, the pot-holes does not get fixed for a LONG time.
It really takes a wealthy person to get mad about it before the problem is finally taken care of and if you are not living in the wealthy part of town, how likely is it that a wealthy person would drive through your neighborhood and their car takes damage?
Some older people are still physically capable of fixing things themselves such as Arnold Schwarzenegger actually getting fed up, bringing a crew and filling in a years-old pothole that had pissed him off. While he was at it, he told off the L.A. County officials over social network, bringing awareness about a very real problem that was being ignored by those who should have fixed it. Not every senior citizen can do the labor, that's what young strong backs are for.
Older people see LOTS of similar problems to the the pothole, which young people do nothing about (when they really should). Many different situations and problems collect together and some older people will just let it out and vent their frustration. That has never happened to you?
Old people SHOULD be allowed to call out bullshit when young people don't do the things they are supposed to be doing. AND, YES, the reverse is also true; young people SHOULD be able to call out bullshit when older people don't do as they should.

Pro tip: using drywall screws for anything other than drywall can lead to using drywall screws for nearly everything. That's bad because drywall screws are both hardened and brittle, and the heads can snap off under load.
Trust me: been there, done that, because anyone who's put up drywall has a crap ton of drywall screws laying around. You end up using them for electrical boxes, framing, and kinds of things they're not designed for.
It's not against code in many places to use drywall screws instead of construction screws; however, it is against building code in some areas. California, where almost everything is against the law, it most certainly is against code.
To be fair, hanging curtain rods is usually pretty innocuous in terms of load, but the heads snap most often when they are being driven in, not out. I doubt they're covered by code, either.
Also, you can find the studs fairly easily; it's what holds windows and doors into the frame of the house. A typical header above the window is 6" tall (roughly). The studs to the left and right are 3" (and include a trimmer and a king stud). That forms your rough opening for the window, not including the 2"x4" sill at the bottom. Although, if you're hanging a curtain down there, something is askew.
From the edge of the molding, measuring upward, you have less than 6" to hit your stud, though how much depends on how wide your molding is.
Other than that, she does a good job explaining how to hang a curtain.
Thanks for coming to my Dad Talk.

      Thank you for this.🤗
Also, placing a small Metal sheet with holes underneath the pole bracket can help with preventing loose screws on drywall.

Off topic a little but I remember being in middle school and this one girl bullying me. One day one of her friends who was a boy decided to chime in and make fun of me, I turned around and said, “No one was talking to you you short shit” the surprise pikachu face he made has always stayed with me. Also later that day I somehow was called into the office for what I said even though I had endured their bullying for some time and got fed up. 😂😂
