Emmy is literally the only youtuber (to me) that handles sponsors and ads in a charming way that actually makes the collab seem sincere and interesting. And giving thanks to the actual company for wanting to support the channel truly shows the character of her, incredibly humble and adorable. Love it!
1. I really like that shirt 2a. "Lube the shaft" "Latch it shut" "Call me Grace" lmao great content. I feel like Emmy would be hilarious to hang out with
Savion Jin S.Coups call me creepy but I believe that shirt is mossimo brand from target (cause I work at target and folded those shirts a million times 😂)
I would suggest a little more than half a cup on each side, fill both sides to the maximum amount possible, fill with your filling, do not twist as it does nothing, you use the long tube handle to compress the roll together. These steps have worked wonders for me when i make my version of sushi.
I have one of these (mine came in the Sushezi box) and it's fab! I definitely put more than 1-2 a cup in each side though, I press it in very firmly right to the ends and then it's nicely compacted and you get nice tight little rolls :) I love it. I don't oil mine, I just use a little water.
Honestly nobody should care if you're being sponsored we all gotta make a living, we should all be here to support your channel and your charming self no matter what. Love your channel Emmy such a great thing to view online. Immaculate in descriptive details towards the taste of the items you provided us to view. Again not hating on you just telling those who want to hate to back off.
Thanks for posting this. I recently bought a Sushezi, and went to use it tonight, only to find that, like you found, the instructions are all in French. I was able to use it after watching your instructions, but I much prefer using the bamboo mats instead. One tip I can give you about cleaning the Sushezi, is that you can do what I did, and just toss it into the garbage instead of cleaning it. I won't miss it at all.
Chrispone I wanna see Emmy star in a cheerful FPS game involving (food) fighting with (culinary) weaponry. Splatoon Emmy edition~~~her voice taunts would be so adorable
I don't believe that the product shown during the video is one through the sponsor, since they deal in gift sets. So I'd imagine she gets paid perfectly fine :)
But to answer your question: if the reviewed product was sponsored than usually no, you dont get paid unless its a positive review. Unless she is VERY FIRM in denying that she will do paid reviews, which she isnt. So take every sponsored review with a huge grain of salt.
What I love about your videos is the way you speak articulately and softly. You have a good sense of humor as well! Great gadget & fruit reviews too!! :3
This is the first video I see from Emmy and I already like it. Your videos are so crisply focused, perfectly exposed and framed, with very clear sound...just very professional. Nice editing too. I like how you rolled with the misshaps and your humor just seems to come out naturally. The video was very entertaining while being informative (the review part).
Emmy, you are one of the few UA-camrs whose sponsored content doesn't put me off. Always very classy and it never takes over the whole video. Keep up the great work.
I love you Emmy! You're so calming and sweet. I like to watch you before bed because you make me laugh but also make me calm. You also don't make a big deal out of things. Love you so much and I bet you'll get a million subscribers.
Emmy, you're commentary made me laugh so hard! Its wonderful to see your personality shine through in those moments, and it makes me so happy to be a long time subscriber to your brilliant content.
OMG EMMY! Where has all this personality come from? If this is you everyday, please keep it because I was literally dying. Who knew mommy Emmy was this fun!! I mean, more fun than her usual Emmy-taste-testing-videos.
Much better than the review I did! My bazooka took forever to arrive and the seller had found an old sushezi box. The item itself was dirty and broken.
I use the bazooka regularly. I can produce 15-20 rolls in under 1 hour from cooking rice to sushi roll. The secret to a tight sushi roll is to press the shaft to compress the rice. The ability to indulge at the drop of a hat and save time is attractive to me.
Damn people, she asked if anyone had one. Everyone felt the need to comment about her innuendos. Let’s get back on topic. I have one of these and I love it. Once you get used to the set up, it’s quite handy.
Your videos are always so cute and you've got the sweetest voice - you really should consider making a cooking show or something for culinarily adventurous kids.
So glad to have found your channel! The mixture of humor and realistic evaluations used are excellent. I think I’m going to have to binge-watch your vids👍🏼
I never leave comments, but your videos are my favorite way to make me feel better and this video was hilarious and I love how much your personality has been shining lately and your different voice inflections are great. You always make my day so much better when you post
I love the final clip at the end of all your videos. Your silliness always gives me a chuckle. I hope everyone stays to see them. It's like a marvel movie lol.
wow I've been following you from before you had 10,000 followers and I'm so happy to see that your so close to a million. your videos are awesome and you deserve it
Hey Emmy, I got the "real" Sushezi for Christmas last year, and it's still a bit flimsy/annoying to use, especially when it comes to getting the hinges connecting the chamber halves to interlock - they come out of join very easily, and are fiddly to put back in place. Otherwise it's a pretty okay quality item. It even came with a little recipe printout with recipes for walnut fudge rolls, ground mince patties, different biscuits, chocolate "salami" (... yeah, might have to lube the shaft for that one too), and ginger-nut log. BTW, the booklet says not to put long pieces of anything into the chamber, as that'll lead to bad compression in the far end of the chamber, which is what I think happened with your maki roll -- but then again, most maki rolls are made with long pieces of veg et cetera! Bit bizarre, and counterintuitive. Even the images of the info pamphlet features someone making a roll with long strips of ingredients. :D
Well. I died and so did pretty much everybody else! Took the words outta my mouth. This was an Emmy exclusive to cherish. Hysterically funny Emmy! Love your vids! PS I don't see anyone mentioning the tiny bit of irony re:french fake and not a good build of a supposedly Asian gadget(?) We buy from Wish and candy from Japan and lots of ramen and stuff here. Anyone who buys from Wish knows there are MANY much cheaper "knockoffs" of American-Japanese-French-German etc etc etc products. It is fun to see that other countries do the same thing! Please NO ONE be offended! Just making an amusing-imho-and enlightening observation. NOT trying to insult or dumb anyone/where down! Thanks Emmy. This made my boring headache filled day better for sure.😈🍱💐✌😇
Mine came in a box with instructions. Build is good, but those clamps that close it and the ones in the middle are made to snap apart for cleaning. I didn't use a specified amount of rice and mine were much more tightly compressed. I filled it up with rice to both ends and then put the filling in the entire length also. The shaft on mine also has a line that you should compress to before pushing it out. If you had filled yours all the way to the end with more rice, and compressed it to that line before removing the end cap, you would have produced a very solid roll. First time I used it I ended up with rice overhanging the Nori, so on the next one I pushed it out onto the wide side of the Nori. When you cut this in half, you end up with what Australians call a "hand roll". They sell them all over the place down under and you do hold it in your hand to eat it if you don't want to slice it into individual pieces. I expected a Tekka Maki (cone shaped) hand roll the first time I ordered one. After that I knew what they meant. I enjoyed it that way Mine works very well, and I typically put it in the top rack of the dishwasher (top rack dishwasher safe) for cleaning. My biggest complaint was that it used a LOT of rice. I still do the hand rolled maki unless I have lots of rice. Then I'll pull the rice bazooka out and have at it!
first i like that you dont use the sponsored video to just review the things of them, just kept it short. and you were more silly than usual in this was. great
We picked up an original from a Thrift shop for a couple of bucks. It was boxed, came with the instructions and we have used it for years. It's built very well out of a sturdy high density plastic.
I have one because I've never had success using a mat so for those who can't manage making rolls the traditional way its helpful. Yes it is flimsy but always snaps back together and can be thrown in the dishwasher!
as much as i dislike sushi rolls (i prefer nigiri or just sashimi, dont care for extra stuff masking the flavor of the fish, just my taste tho) i seriously want one of these for some reason? it looks so cool. also this is one of your funniest videos, Emmy, i freaking love it.
absolutely love how sassy and cheeky you are in this video!!! came here to say this and by the looks of the comment section, I am not alone in thinking this ;)
i screamed so loud when you got to the oiling part lolll i love watching your videos so much and your personality is amazinggg. you do such a great job with content and editing like i never know what is coming next 💖💖
Thank you Emmy.. well... for being you.. i find myself watching everything you create just to absorb your whimsical worldview and singsong smile. thanks for that...
After turning the knob, you're supposed to push the shaft in to help compress the stuff in the tube. This will remove any air gaps in the roll. Then take the end cap off and push roll out. It will be a lot firmer than the one you made.
I have been using a different type of Makisushi maker. Mine is made of plexiglass, which forms a rectangular channel. First you layer Nori into the channel, then put layer of rice. Next comes your filling, and then more rice. There is a matching plexiglass piece it presses ingredients together. And then you have a nice squared makisushi. I think mine cost about $10 at a local pharmacy.
Hi you did everything correct except after you turned the plunger 5 times you are supposed to push the rod which will compress together to make it tighter ... no need to oil :) I love mine
Call me Grace, latch it shut, and then lube the shaft!
Oh my.
Memorandom XDDDDDD I'M DEAD.
The "Call me Grace" went over my head.
So many memorable moments in this video, I love it XD
Aqua Krys I don't get that either :/
Emmy is literally the only youtuber (to me) that handles sponsors and ads in a charming way that actually makes the collab seem sincere and interesting. And giving thanks to the actual company for wanting to support the channel truly shows the character of her, incredibly humble and adorable. Love it!
1. I really like that shirt
Toaster Ooo thanks. I love striped shirts
I'm not sure what call me grace means :/
Shes a fun mother!
Josue Espinosa graceful (not)
Lube the shaft? Lmfaoooo😭
The face she made right after she said it though loooool She knew what she was doing!
🤣🤣😱
Ohhh... I once had a dream...
😂😂
When she said that I lost it. Lol
"We should probably lube the shaft a little bit" *looks at camera intently* Oh emmy I love you 😂💕
Sean Flatten I was drinking when she said that. I almost spat it out because I wasn't expecting it XD
More meme fodder from our sweet Emmy! 🥰
Just the term "Sushi Bazooka" totally inappropriate to my dirty sense of humor.
Lube that shaft Emmy!!!!Lube it now!!! Yes, yes, yes
When I heard her say that, I prematurely bazooka'd my sushi....
I would suggest a little more than half a cup on each side, fill both sides to the maximum amount possible, fill with your filling, do not twist as it does nothing, you use the long tube handle to compress the roll together. These steps have worked wonders for me when i make my version of sushi.
Yep is about the volume of rice..AND the compression. Five twists does nada.
Twisting it gets it out of the threads. If you didn't twist it you couldn't push it. And yes she needed more rice. Lubing the shaft lol
@@daleedwards9102 the twisting is only for like 2 seconds at the most. It doesn’t go the whole shafts length.
"Now we have a bazooka, locked and loaded."
Haha you're showing more and more of your funny personality in your videos lately, it's great! :')))
BatteryPoweredSwag that part was so funny
BatteryPoweredSwag e
I have one of these (mine came in the Sushezi box) and it's fab! I definitely put more than 1-2 a cup in each side though, I press it in very firmly right to the ends and then it's nicely compacted and you get nice tight little rolls :) I love it. I don't oil mine, I just use a little water.

😂😂😂digging the sense of humor in this video! So when it's a sponsored video but it's not a good review on a product, do u still get paid?
I don't believe that the product shown during the video is one through the sponsor, since they deal in gift sets. So I'd imagine she gets paid perfectly fine :)

Emmy, I have an idea! Once you reach 1 million subs... you should do a reaction video reacting to all of your old videos! 😄❤

Damn it, I ruined the "lube the shaft" surprise for myself. Got to stop reading comments during the video 😩
Much better than the review I did! My bazooka took forever to arrive and the seller had found an old sushezi box. The item itself was dirty and broken.
Oh my goodness, Listening to Emmy speak naughty about the shaft made me blush!
Emmy was such a "sassy aunt" today and I love it
I'm not going to say it.
I'm not going to say it.
I'm not going to say it.

I use the bazooka regularly. I can produce 15-20 rolls in under 1 hour from cooking rice to sushi roll. The secret to a tight sushi roll is to press the shaft to compress the rice. The ability to indulge at the drop of a hat and save time is attractive to me.
Where are the water balloons?
This is honestly one of my favorite videos by Emmy, but not because of the product, purely because of her commentary lol
Latch it shut hahaha my favorite part ily 4:05
Damn people, she asked if anyone had one. Everyone felt the need to comment about her innuendos. Let’s get back on topic. I have one of these and I love it. Once you get used to the set up, it’s quite handy.
"Call me grace" HHAHA
Juliana Fernandez Is she referring to a show or the fact that she's not graceful??? *I need to know!!!* 😥😥
Tiffany Ekwonna The fact that she's not graceful, lol
Your videos are always so cute and you've got the sweetest voice - you really should consider making a cooking show or something for culinarily adventurous kids.

Occasionally I come to your channel and watch some videos but I really have grown on your content, you've earned a new subscriber.👍🏼
