- Shark Coast Tactical, based in Florida (just like our channel) takes a 9mm Glock and makes an ugly duck into a prom queen! In this case it adds stipple to the grip, gives it a nice cerakote and . . . ports the barrel and slide! All the internals of the grip are untouched. They are also MOS (red dot ready) without a plate. The full name of the model, from the box, is Shark Coast Tactical G43X Ported Sniper Grey / Static Stipple.

I recently picked up a Glock 19 from Shark Coast Tactical. Pretty happy with it. I really like the 43X you showcased. The porting is very cool. Thank you for the video.
Palmetto State Armory has a comped slide version called the MC1.
I love this! It's about time there was a Ported version!

There been ported from ones for awhile now…
The 43x is a favorite of mine. It is a great model.
Nice looking pistol
Looks good.
Pmc bronze 9mm is so garbage. Blazer 124gr all day for me. What edc ammo do u like in the ported version?
Totally dig it, Love the ported 43x!! There's a Compensated one by Monsoon Tactical a couple weeks ago
Pretty damn cool you can get that kinda work for an extra $100
Such a short barrel, lost velocity from porting is not worth it, maybe in a larger gun...
Porting a 9mm is useless,.. If you can’t handle the recoil, Get a .380…
@mikeseier4449
No such thing as "too little recoil" regardless of your strength/skill/technique Aaron Cowan at Sage Dynamics speaks on this in a few of his videos.
Masculine macho BS doesn't win a gn fight, quickest significant hot does, and anything that helps you be that much quicker is not a bad thing
@vegeta420z6 actually it depends on your rhythm and skill set, more recoil can give your brain more time to process in-between shots making you actually faster and more accurate than with less recoil. It all depends on what you are used to and what you are more comfortable with.
@vegeta420z6 380 is actually trading recoil for power, exactly what ports in a 9mm do, he's right if 9mm is too much 380 or 30 super carry would be a better choice than handicapping your 9mm.
@@mblake0420 @mblake0420 more time in between shots? Its called cadence, your trigger finger controls your cadence.
If you need more time in between trigger pulls, take more time in between trigger pulls.
On the loss of power, ports in a 9mm barrel will reduce velocity but it is a very minimal reduction in velocity.
Muzzle energy is velocity×bullet weight, so as Paul Harrell would say " enough difference to make a difference?"
Watch Aaron Cowans video on Sage dynamics titled "Ported handguns"
He covers this at about the 6:30 mark.
But ill recap incase you don't watch it.
He test a G17 vs a G17C with 135gr Hornady critical duty, the velocity (5 shot group avg.) on the G17 was 1,098 fps, G17C 1,071 fps, for a difference of 27 fps .
He then did 5 rd groups with the same ammo but different weight bullets 124gr
And Glock 17 1,193 fps avg, Glock 17C 1,139 fps. 54 fps again its negligible.
The porting at is typically at the end of the barrel so the loss in power from pressure bleed off is going to be incredibly small, because by the time the bullet gets there it's already almost up to full speed.
Even with that minimal loss of power, your still gonna get more power then 30sc and still significantly more power then 380.
You spitting some Fudd lore that doesn't have any basis in reality.
MrgunsNgear has videos on this as well, as do many other reputable people, but people like you like to get stuck in your beliefs so you believe what you want.
I'll deal in truths
Thanks for sharing. Do you lose velocity using a ported barrel and slide?
Maybe 15 fps
Hey man do you know if shark coast tactical does slide cut for red dot ?
Yes
Look up shark coast glock 43x happy tree version. Green slide, ported barrel and slide optic cut, fde frame
Was just looking on their website and what a cluttered mess that is.
Might have good products but if your sight is difficult to find anything, then your not gonna move your products.
