I love seeing your garden and what you do with all you grow. Really enjoy seeing your kiddos helping you. You keep it real which is what I love most. Can’t wait till I can bring my grandson into the garden.
Hello. New subbie here. I am really glad that your video popped up for me to watch. I love how you explain as you go, I am learning so much from you, like I never knew how to tell when the green tomatoes are ready, now thanks to you, I do. Keep making awesome and interesting videos, you are doing great.
A really good way to use up the giant 'human baby' sized zucchini is to turn it into fermented 'pickles'! You cut it open, scrape out all the seeds and the soft seedy-area (hopefully that makes sense) and then slice what's left. Ferment it with garlic and dill, and it tastes (and crunches) like a crisp pickle! I had my family taste it before telling them it was actually zucchini and they ALL thought it was pickle. I doubt it would work as well with a smaller (softer) zucchini. Maybe Seth would enjoy it since he can't do the cucumbers anyhow!
Love watching your harvest vids and seeing how your veggies look especially for varieties I’ve never seen. Looking forward to finding out how you like the sweet peppers that are supposed to be one of the sweetest in the world. I’ve been harvesting a lot of jalefuegos and violet sparkle peppers. VS are used like a bell pepper but doesn’t have that bitter flavor. They are mild and crunchy. This morning I picked lemon Basil and a couple sprigs of mint to mix with watermelon water. Yum!
When I get beans that get picked a little too late, I give them to my 2 dogs as a treat. They love them! Do you put cucumber in your water pitcher? It is so refreshing. So jealous of your harvest. I'm in zone 7a/b and my stuff just isn't this far along.
We got a really early start this year, I feel like we are definitely ahead of our normal schedule. I love putting cucumbers in our water or juicing them! It's the best! 💚
I would love for you to do a video on what your raised beds are made of and how you filled them all, what you do to amend them each year and what you use for mulch
Ours have been as well, we did a cucumber bitterness taste test yesterday and I made a note of it in my gardening book. I'm going to trade them in for another variety next year!
I garden in Ohio 6b and have a 45x60 no dig garden, so compost and wood chips in the walkways. We built the garden in 2022. Overall it’s such a lovely gardening method and the plants are super happy but I’ve noticed that my peppers and green beans get yellowish at the beginning of the season and need some nitrogen fertilizer due to the wood chips in the walkways. Have you noticed any of that with your peppers? I watched a pepper harvest video from last year and noticed you use a lot of wood chips almost as a bed mulch. Thanks for the help!
I don't typically find that they need much but I'm not against putting some fish emulsion fertilizer down if I find they are looking too yellow! I talked about this a little in a video that came out on Tuesday! If the peppers are in our in-ground garden (which has less nutrition) I would have to use fertilizer someone regularly id think.
@@ShepherdingPeppersFarm thank you! I watched the video when it came out and told myself to calm down and wait for the roots to get a little deeper before doing any fertilizer. My peppers are back to looking normal so it may have even been too much rain last week. Looking forward to your future videos and so happy to have found your channel!
can you please tell me where i can buy those tall metal garden stakes you use for the attached metal trellising? i looked in my home depot and they dont carry it...those grreen stakes with the white tops
The vine squash bugs gets me before I even get any squash. I do not know what to do. I noticed that you plant them very densely. Maybe thats it, my are to far apart.
I love your garden ......... happy time
So nice of you
Try juicing the cucumbers with grapes. So good
That's a great idea! Thank you!

Thank you! 💚
Thank you for sharing your good knowledge about gardening
Absolutely! 💚
Wow nice haul! I really enjoy watching vids of gardening in our somewhat local area. Wife and I are in ILM.
Thank you! And I agree, its always cool to see what others close by are growing.
I literally just ordered Megatron when I saw the difference. Thank you 😊
They are outstanding! 🙌

I actually just covered this in a video that came out on Tuesday! 💚
We have been super into making tzatziki sauce this season with our cucumbers.
I’ve never had it! I’m going to give it a try, thank you for the idea!
❤❤❤

My straight 8 were bitter last year. I changed to different varieties this year.

I found "Morden Early" cucumber to be a little bitter.
I’ll make a note of that! Thank you 😊

Beautiful garden! Nice job! I live in Moncks Corner, SC. Is there a cucumber that you recommend planting in fall?
Beit Alphas do really well in the fall!
@@ShepherdingPeppersFarm Thank you!
Gorgeous garden!!❤❤
What do you fertilize with and how often?
Thank you! I just did a video that came out on Tuesday and answered this question! Great timing! 💚
How do you store/keep your harvest from going bad, especially your cucumber?
we wrap the cucumbers in aluminum foil to preserve them for a little longer and then focus on pickling or juicing the excess.
can you please tell me where i can buy those tall metal garden stakes you use for the attached metal trellising? i looked in my home depot and they dont carry it...those grreen stakes with the white tops
Try searching for “fence t-posts.” That is what we have the trellises connected to. Home Depot, Lowe’s, Tractor Supply and others should carry them.
The vine squash bugs gets me before I even get any squash. I do not know what to do. I noticed that you plant them very densely. Maybe thats it, my are to far apart.
We definitely plant them densely and we succession sow all through the spring and summer. Sow and pray, sow and pray 😂
