*BIG TIME SAVER* instead of going through the mossy room jumping puzzle, enter the room, turn around immediately and there is an opening in the corner that leads to the next room. No need to do the jumping puzzle

And also at the beginning, at the start of the course you can actually go straight from the entrance to the place where the chest is by jumping up.
In the room with the ball at the center, you can actually skip all the jumpong puzzle BS
1- Drop from the right portal, and stay on the track until you reach this point 7:46
2- Do a 180, looking backwards
3- by the left side, after you turened 180 there will be a small section that you can crouch, enter it
4- turn right.
You will follow straghtly untill you reach the next area

Lmao took me the whole 20 just to get part way through the jump puzzle. Couldn’t just send me on a moms chore list of quest steps.
Go check out datto’s vid about it. Its like 10 mins shorter but more concise
There's a shortcut in the large room with all the moss that requires you to jump around the room.
1. Enter the room.
2. Look down and to the right and look for a dark corner. (If you cant see it go down the ramp a little and turn around)
3. Upon entering the dark corner, there is a small fall down into a semi-open room the ghost will illuminate the room.
4. Traverse forward until there is a T shaped hall. Turn right.
5. Go around this corner and it will lead you to the same spot.
This saves around 3-4 minutes
when you know more than the youtuber lol
YOU ARE A GOD
Two shortcuts which save your time here :
1) As soon as you spawn, go forward to the main room and turn back. You will see a shell like thing above you. Jump on that and you can jump across (the moss like overhangs) to the taken blight. Saves like 40 seconds
2)The green room can be skipped, just turn around and look for a short white beam of light on the ground near the entrance. It will be on a small crack on the ground. Get in there and follow the path. Saves 2 min and tons of frustration.
3) You dont have to kill the blights, although it is recommended to kill the ones closest to you in the last boss room

Got the Whisper of the Worm this evening with 1 second to spare! One of the guys i was running it with showed me a shortcut in which you can totally bypass that last big jumping room with the mossy ledges, and save yourself a huge chunk of time. When you first enter that room, turn to your right, and there should be a tiny hole in the floor, if you follow that down and squeeze yourself through you'll be through to the next part with the rounded ledges you walk around. Hope this helps!

Really isn't that bad. When you get it down even with mess ups it is about three and a half minutes with the shortcut.
7:48 turn to the right and squeeze into a little hole, then turn right while youre underground and voila, skipped.

I jsut went through a good chunk of the comments and found out that almost nobody mentions the mossy room's shortcut, he actually jumps over it at 7:51, anyways for anyone who sees this, you would go inside the room, go down to the flattest level and go under the rocks you just walked on until your ghost shines light, then you continue forward, turn right head up some stairs that become visible in the darkness continue forward and boom fighting time
Edit, it brings you first to the section after the moss room mb I forgot about that otherwise it saves so much time rather than jumping.....forever

There are more places for the bosses to spawn in Lost Oasis away from the lost sector. In the rooms before the bosses you don't have to kill the blights you just have to clear adds.
Sounds good for people who don't play Destiny 2 solo.... looks like I'll once again not be getting this exotic...

at 7:50 when u come into the room immediately turn around and go below where u entered, then u can see a light (like a rod) then u go forward its kinda hard to see but its an amazing shortcut that gets u past in like couple of seconds rather than this entire part. after once u drop turn right then u will find a stair case then its pretty much self explanatory after that

I remember running through that black spindle mission so many times with some friends and not being able to get it done (they both already had it too) and then I tried it ONCE solo and got it done with ease. I was high as fuck and I just kind of did it and to this day I don't know how. I'm damn proud of me.

You can skip the ledge climbing part! Under the entrance you come in from, there is a tiny hole. Crouch-walk inside and follow the path out. Just got the sniper
It only took 2 times for me and my team to get it. We were a team of 2. But you can definitely do this solo. I tried it by myself and got to the end but i didnt have enough ammo to defeat the last 3 bosses.
I finally got this, after trying 2 different weekends. And i did it with a warlock, which i have to say is more difficult because we bounce off everything during the boost jumps. But got my time down to 6 minutes and we had 4 minutes remaining when we finished all the bosses.

You forgot to mention that the weapon is actually an exotic version of the original Black Hammer instead of the Black Spindle, the guy in the video with the escalation protocol shout gun remember it

there is an easier way just when you get out to the grassy area below the entrance

there are two shortcuts which you can use
one directly at the entrance, jump above it on the woods and from there you can kill that blight to go down
at the big green hall
when you get down turn arround and crouch and there is a small entrance enter that and evoila you are at the part where you have to do the leep of faith

Long answer, non heavy/special exotic isin't worth it.
Legend of Acrius is a really good gun in the fighting sections, capable of easily 2 shotting the minibosses, if you don’t have sleeper.
At 7:48 there is a secret passage way to the left of the entrance, it bypasses all of the maze parts that's in front of you. It saves so much time. I haven't even gotten up to that part to try it, but I seen people on UA-cam talk about it.

How come when I do the public event and yes it’s the right event the blight one and in the oasis part, the boss doesn’t pop up. People are saying you can only do this mission on certain days is that right? If so let me know. I got into the mission last night but today I can’t even get the boss to spawn

Works from Friday 2pm eastern pacific time to Monday 2pm, the boss actually spawns in 2 different places, it varies and is completely random, he spawns in the same area where u see in this video and he also spawns in the cave where Ikora used to meditate outside of
