I was blessed with the opportunity to meet her several times when attending Christel House the school she founded whenever she visited and spoke to us it was like talking to a grandparent we would have her undivided attention she made sure we felt heard. Not to mention while most schools were dropping art programs Mrs. D filled the school with every type of instrument a child would want to play and a fully stocked art room for any child who wanted to draw. She was a rare soul and the pleasure of knowing her will always be a highlight of my childhood.

With Lily, NCAA, IndyCar and other corporations headquartered here, along with several other major corporate hubs, there's a lot of money and opportunity in Central Indiana.

@@kirrus4781 November until the end February it's cold, March until May it's warm, June until September it's hot, October is a wild card. Lately it hasn't been snowing a lot in the winter like it used to. It's not bad to me if you can deal with bitter cold Winters and hot humid/dry summers.

Agreed. I wonder who the Architect was. Aside from the skimpy ironwork in a few places, it's nearly flawless. Obviously, the garden accessories need beefing-up, and those streetlights need to be removed - a few things like that: but those are minor. One would want to introduce bulletproof glass - probably outside the current fenestration. And an inner perimeter fence probably needs constructing - considering the unpleasantness in St. Louis, a couple of years back, with the rioters nearly overrunning that historic home on a private street. But that's just adjusting to changing times. The lady's taste was flawless. There's not a cloying moment, anywhere.
I helped bring in loads of stone for the wall that goes around this beautiful estate. Been truck driver for 26 years now and back in 97 I made deliveries here when in was owned by Catholic church. I was told that the lady who had this estate built has invested in McDonald's stock early on before they became huge.

Another Biggie is north of SR32 in Big Springs. Beautiful property and a home that looks like barn from distance, then you realize it’s scale as you approach is monstrous.
It was a tragedy when this home was built. That lake and land surrounding it use to be a hangout for all the kids in Washington Township. We had so many parties there.
