- FIRST LOOK:The Mustang GT is all new for 2024 and Ford Performance wants to offer you more. On the outside you will find unique 19in wheels, carbon fiber aero, special paint, FP exhaust and side graphics. On the inside there are Reacaros trimmed in leather & Alcantara. Under the hood is a 3.0L Whipple supercharger churning out over 800HP & mated to a 6-speed manual. Is the 2024 Ford Mustang FP 800S a BETTER Muscle Car than a Shelby GT500?

As a owner of 4 mustang. This does nothing for me. I feel no excitement for it at all. Sorry just my opinion. It doesn’t matter I know. It that front end kills me. Just can’t get over it. Looks hideous. Not a stang. Too much tech. Just more to go wrong. Great video as always
Darkhorse and Darkhorse R are for track... GT and GT 800S are for the street... You can add Supercharger kit to a Darkhorse...

Beautiful color. Love the white wheels. These last years of ICE cars are amazing. Mind blowing to see 800 HP in a Ford vehicle you can buy from the factory. That used to be what they had at the drag strip when i was growing up, some exotic creation that wouldn't last 10k miles before blowing up. This has a factory warranty.
I would prefer a car with only 200 HP and a six speed transmission that redlines at 13k RPM, so that i could pretend i have 800 HP but not get speeding tickets. I want something more like my Honda 400/4 which redlined around 10k RPM, but could be soup up to even higher limits with fancy cams, etc. 400cc meant the pistons were only 100cc in volume, so tiny.

But what pisses me off is they could have made the Mustang GT look like this but instead the Mustang GT looks ugly.
At least Corvette will offer a Grand Sport that has the ZO6 wide body kit.
Ford hasn't figured out how to make their regular GT look like the upper trim level
@@arizonacolour8793Mustang is all about PURE MUSCLE and burnouts, being noisy. It doesn't need to become a performance car. The ultimate performance Mustang is the MUSTANG GTD but GT and perhaps Dark Horse are not GTD level performance but arguable can have the same amount of ponies/muscle.
@@robd1859 OEM or not, there are after market parts that you could alter for your own taste. It doesn't need to be overpriced straight-out-of-brand kits that can sometimes getting a bit too hideous, the Z51 package is the glaring lesson.
Note that the recaro seats are the same ones from the Nissan GTR😮
I might need all of this for my S650 when I get it. Obviously love the supercharger, but that grille is a nice mix of classic Mustang and RTR front grille
I love the 2024 Mustang! I just wish the Dark Horse had some carbon fiber parts instead of the matte black and gloss black parts

I agree the FP800S could be a predecessor to the S650 GT500 at least with horsepower. Considering the FP800S package has approximately 40 more horsepower than the previous GT500. I believe the new S650 GT500 scheduled for introduction in 2025 as a 2026 model will likely produce well over 800 horsepower using either a more powerful 5.2 Predator or the new Coyote based Coyote 5,4 racing engine like being used in the Dark Horse IMSA GT3 Mustang.
After they sell all the GTD probably...

$68,000 is around MSRP for this car. That’s what I’m guessing. $57,000 for an optioned out GT plus the package with whipple super charger kit, which is $10,000. Brings it up to somewhere around that number.

Actually, 641/2 is NOT technically 65, it is technically 641/2. Ford used to do this often, including the 631/2 galaxie 500 fastback.

The FP800s is not doubt a great package from Ford, including not only warranty for the parts, but the warranty for the entire car. The only downside to the FP800s package isn't the package, but the manual on the GT, the transmission on the Dark Horse and GT500 is so much better.
@hieuluu2 I recommend Test driving a new 6 speed S650 Mustang GT. The Getrag MT82 has been revamped. The shifts are short and smooth. The no-lift shift works fantastic. Rev match is available. It's a hugh improvement over the S550 GT. The GT500 uses an expensive DCT automatic
This should have been a package you can add to the Mustang GT I'm getting so sick of these one and done limited edition bullshit cars that the dealer will mark up 20000 and then they'll only make them for like a year or two .
What's even worse its not even offered in convertible.

I'm really a huge fan of the new 2024 mustang. I drove one recently and compared to most recent past year models (21-23) it drives insanely smooth and it's not "shaky" or feel like it's going to fall apart when you start the car. I'm going to have to zonk the screen (mainly because I'd like to turn on the a/c or some other things with knobs,) but that's just my Opinion.
I agree with you about the screens, don't like how they're just placed on the dash, not integral with the interior...everything else about this car is just amazing!

Thanks for the video, Joe! I’ve been saying the 2024 Mustang was about as exotic as a 2014 Corvette. Wrong! The ‘14 Corvette is way better looking and beats the socks off this Mustang 10 years later.

Honestly from a Dark Horse owner, love the power hate the look. The fully loaded GT looks better than this to be honest they should have just added small visuals with the big power. With all that said I already know I'm getting a SC for my DH. Will it be a kit put together by Ford? No.

Since the demon handles worse than a 1980 LTD I'd argue there isn't alot to compare
The two screens on the dash looks horrible. It looks better than the giant one piece screen I've seen on another brand new mustang, but they should have stuck with just a recessed, more traditional, circular gauge cluster.
