03/09/2024, Part 2 Ohio River Four Wheelers annual Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway spring ride

Part 1. We are continuing our club ride with the Ohio River Four Wheelers. We pick up where we left off at the HWY 52 small park that seasonally has open restrooms, a pavilion with Picnic tables and some outdoor play equipment for children. From here we continue on 52 to HWY 498 then to the entrance of Bald Rock, it is not marked as such, see the video for how to locate it. After many higher than usual water crossings for the area we turn onto Cave Fork which had more water crossings as well. Most folks ended the day after Cave Fork. However a few wanted to do Old Fincastle so we rounded up and headed that way. Unfortunately we broke down (Alternator/Regulator/Computer)at the entrance of Hell Creek that is used as a connector to Old Fincastle and our day was done. We back tracked out to HWY11 toward Slade and then back home! Enjoy!
