What a sweet boy. He's in the best home. I love that you have so many black greyhounds. I was told by my local rescue, that they get overlooked a lot, but i think they're stunning! All greys are beautiful of course, but i have a soft spot for the black beauties ❤😂 That will be my choice when i go to the rescue. X
Beautiful boy - Gandalf has come such a long way with your love and understanding . Jill - you are a very special lady . Hugs from Judi and Bonnie - Australia
Aw. Happy Days to you Gandalf🥰...Here's some cheese 🧀🧀 and yes .. quite right - you are lovely❤ 🐾 And you have an amazing mum and dad that love you so much!😊 Haha ..Thanks Jill . fun to watch and nice to learn and see. Stay well and be happy ❤👍🙏🏻
I love your videos. They are so sensible, informative and clear. Also your love and affection for your greyhounds is very obvious. Great advice and wisdom. You obviously know this breed like the back of your hand. Fab x
Hi there, I just wanted to say that I watched your videos before I fostered a greyhound, and they were so helpful in understanding this unique breed. Thank you for making these videos. I'm so glad I went ahead and adopted my boy, (foster fail!). He is an absolute delight.
I did the same with Codie - he too has a huge prey drive and goes ballistic at cats - never seen a grey with as stronger a drive. His drive hasn't lessened in 7 years. My lad also has extreme sleep startle and those two factors combined actually are what has prevented me from getting a second grey. Regarding his "other-breed" reactivity, my boy started off triggering at about 50-60 ft away but over the first year I managed to get him down to 25ft. 7 years in, he's now down to 10ft (less if he knows the dog quite well - more if it's a breed he doesn't like - such as huskys, border collies or black labs!) I did the same as you Jill with "watch me!" and Behavioural Adjustment Training to help him. I've accepted that he's as good as he's going to get now. He regularly walks with other greys (has done for 5+ years now) and I've found that's helped his overall confidence enormously. Your Gandalf and my lad have such a lot in common in this respect. He's a beautiful lad Jill!
Codie is a life's work, same as gandalf 🙄 i dont use watch me, but I've tried look at that with him. He just doesnt get the verbal cues generally, so i go with body language mainly. Each dog is different, part of the struggle is finding what works for that individual
Gandalf is very lucky to have you as his special mum ❤
Aww thank you 😊 i do my best!

There are typically more black than other colours in the UK

That is awesome! So glad to be able to help 😍
Wonderful video. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and our Sally’s addicted to cheese as well.
Thank you! Cheese is the best ;-)
I absolutely loved this - my girl Raven also likes to be between two people. I would love a video on each of the dogs you have and all about them!
Thank you :-) I'll have a think about making videos for Meg and Ajay :-)
Great video with lots to relate to with my grey, thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!

sweeney was a big racing dog and i am getting his prey drive down slowley, its been hard work.luv you jill for your vidios.
You got this! It can be a slow process
@@jwcaninecare thanks jill..
He’s a big twit, but we like him all the same ;-)
I think they broke the mould with this one!
He couldn't have a better home.
My greyhound is not reactive. When I walk him with a third person he always has a need to walk in the middle ?
I do think they can be more secure there 😊
