I improved my boy's willingness to lie down (back seats folded down as he's huge) by adding additional bedding that allows him to brace himself comfortably against the side of the car with padding. Unfortunately, he pooped in the car and destroyed some of that padding, so he'll have to wait until I can get some more, but the bedding absolutely made a difference.

Thank you again Jill very helpful tips. May i enquire as to whether your driving instructor has a drink problem. Why did he suggest putting a glass of wine on the car bonnet when a glass of water would have done quite the same job.

Definitely need to experiment with whats best for yr dog. They are used to a confined space when travelling, which would help them keep steady

Good question! 😂 I hope not! I somehow doubt I would have been as careful with a glass of water tho 😜
