I don't care how many times I load up, I sometimes look stupid when I forget a step in the process. Usually that happens when I am distracted by talking to someone or getting out of sequence on my loading routine.
Your cabover is awesome , I never miss a video of you and your truck . I am a old lady that got to go on short trips with my uncle in his cabover this brings back many fond memories .
I stopped at Rip Griffins in Flagstaff one day to get fuel, and the DOT were checking trucks that were parked in the lot, even getting drivers out of the sleeper. I never stopped there again.
Gotta say, I love your spiel about you pressing the brake button and us pressing the like button. I usually don't remember to press the like button if I'm already subscribed to someone, but I always throw you a bone when you mention that.
As a retired trucker it's a love/hate relationship. I hated to be stopped, but I understood that without DOT too many more fatal accidents would occur. Just think if you would want unregulated rigs sharing the road with your family...
great video Steve must becoming close to the gear box break down or somethin nice to see putting carpet on top of bucket horrible telehandler Manitou makes the bloody computer sucks have to wait to engage gears or lift of lower the boom you must have travelling with the wind cause Orwell sounded good and clear
Good job brother finally someone that does it right thanks although I would of taken the twists out if the straps but awsome keep up the great videos Semper Fi GUNNY Lou
Hello from socal but originally from Milwaukee but parents from your area dad from Pulaski mom from Angelica have relatives all over the area. Stay safe.
we've had Wisconsin DOT sitting outside the race tracks at both Columbus and Jefferson nailing racers with trailer violations Glad I hauled my car on a wedge bed truck, they just waived me past.
I was at that ta 4 days ago it's a mess at night brother had to have other drivers evicted from reserve spots because I had reserved one and couldn't park
We operate in the same area, I'll keep an eye out for you. I used to live in PA but moved about a month ago to Ohio, so I've been recognizing a lot of the places you're going to. I drive a high top blue international 9900 that says universal on the side 😁👍🏻
Just a thought but I always roll my ratchet straps up the other way (redline in the inside) so it’s unrolls and don’t have to worry about trying to flip it.
@FSC SPEED SOME HOW ,get ahold of me and I can go spot where the Fuzz is staging at . I live 5 minutes down the road from the Baltimore aka Dundalk Docks . I have no problem going out and spotting and relays back to you . Or even if you need to shut down “reserve parking “ & gotta get something to eat or whatever. Whatever I can do to PAY IT FORWARD.! ✌🏻
@@fsctrucking Steve I believe you will have that sponsorship and few others as you go along. Your a natural born people person, your vids are the best I’ve seen. I’m hoping you end up with a reality show. Good Luck in what you do, and stay safe.
A short piece of heavy rubber industrial tubing or discarded fire hose from your local fire department might be better than that carpet for shielding your crisscrossing chains from rubbing with each other while staying put.
If you treated your Engine & Gear box & Pumpkin with Prolong products you would not have to worry about excessive engine idling and below 0 ‘ startups and your gearbox would be happier when you make those first cold shifts on your tour of duty Hey what the heck it is barely a $100 . 00 investment and a roll of shop towels & a new plastic Funnel & a roll of breath mints at the check out counter 🥸
Yes if they need to fill the book they can write a brand new truck so every truck driver worries about the dot I've had my share of dealing with them was stopped every day for 2 months got to no the trooper by his first name since he was younger then me by 20 years after he seen I kept the truck up he just fill paperwork out with doing inspection no violations so if no other trucks we would talk a little while Jamie was pretty cool not like sum I've ran up on like was going to West TN was checked in Va then on 81 in TN checked I told guy in scale house be sure call Knoxville scale be on look out for me I be damned if he didn't pull me around to side run the third inspection in 4 hours time now that's why I don't care for them instead of looking at the first inspection paperwork and let me go they had to run there 2 in TN I no they got a job to do but sum hate life and truck drivers and don't need to be doing the job and sum that just out to make a name for there self sorry for the rant be safe stay healthy stay rolling
Hey my friend... I must say that I love watching your videos! Keep them coming! Quick question though... when are you going to get the Alcoa rims for Orwell?
well i see 2 things. the first is that you cross because it actually secures the load more, not just because its more convenient. and the second is that you dont have to carpet chains.
Notice you were "pouring the coal to it" so not to get stop by DOT 😁 Steve...have you ever tighten a 2 inch strap, then when you're ready to break it loose, you realize you have no room for the handle to open 😡🤬
You really need new rims on your drives and polish your tanks. Show some pride in your ride pardner. Good vids though, keep up the good work and be safe out there and watch them damn four-wheelers
The GOAL technique. Get Out And Look. Swift does this whenever the trailer gets hung on something.
After a few tug tests !
I have seen quite a few SWIFT drivers drop, because of the "Risk of DOT FINDING SOMETHING WRONG"
No no no... Get it right man... That's what everyone else does when the swifties get hung on something lol
Old pieces of fire hose works great for chain rub separation
I appreciate that you introduce Orwell in every single trucking video

“As if I never looked stupid on a video before.” That was great Steve! We all have been there before. As always, enjoyed your video. Take care.
That's why most of us don't video tape ourselves, comment on youtube instead, LOL
I have one word for you: couldawouldashoulda
I cant wait for spring when it warms up. Winters okay, but who doesnt love being warm lol
Good morning guys. Have a good day and a safe one while you're at it
Love the use of old carpet. That stuff is amazingly tough!
Maxi pads work great also the ones with taped wings😅😅😅
I stopped at Rip Griffins in Flagstaff one day to get fuel, and the DOT were checking trucks that were parked in the lot, even getting drivers out of the sleeper. I never stopped there again.
Ruttters in PA had that happen. Someone posted it on Facebook and Rutters didn't care.
Absolutely rediculous
the reason I dont stop in rest areas or ramps
Good morning Steve. I hate waiting for a load and being at somebody else's mercy. After 38 years I'm happy to be retired. Safe trip.
A decsion maker should be the one to do the work! Totally agree!
Have a great day Steve

Nice Manitou! I run one of them every day. They’re great. Good work!

Some of those trucks have the bed so low to the ground. I can not imagine our roads are so nice and flat that they don’t scrape a lot.

Love your video's
It's still here...
You have great cam angles,, better than most guys, great muffler sound. great vids. Thank you

Yup, they've definitely earned the nickname, "road pirates".

Great stuff. Thanks for sharing, Steve.
That was great video hero. I like to watch you load different pieces of equipment and trucks. Hope things are well. Hope your folks are well. Later
Never did believe that trucking was simple. You confirmed that for me in fine fashion.
I could stay warm enough in winter, electric bunk warmer, shut the truck off, summer needed a/c, pull toy here
A great video, it shows very clearly the routine of a typical job. Love it!!! I will follow you on youtube.
You do a great job steve
Like always nice video and better job. Congrats from spain
Awesome Steve !
Steve, you should look at the weatherstrip on your driverside door. You have a major sound- and heat-leak there..
Steve, do you ever use the extendable marker lights that are mounted just under the front deck for your OVERSIZE loads?
I do at times. However they have caused more issues than they are worth.

The very first truck built that comes off the line is named after the person that built it.

Ratchet binders are great, but I still prefer the jaw breakers. Seems like they can get tighter.
most oilfield site won't let you use breakover binders

Hey, you need to make your bed in the morning.
Have you ever accidently dropped the front portion of the trailer on the ground?
its gotta be hooked to the trailer to be able to pull it out of the fifth wheel hitch
I know a guy who did. There are pictures too.
I don't see anything that he needs to be worry about DOT (Department of Transportation). Is there anything to worry about?
There’s always something to worry about......they always find something and if they don’t they’ll make something up

show us how you deal with the tails of straps! i roll and knot
Buongiorno
That normal they was there 20 years ago to
Greatest sleeping condition ever.
You know what they say
Looks good on paper but will it work.
Is there any particular reason you twist your straps instead of having them and flat not twisted?
It keeps them from flapping in the wind.
Hey Steve, is this an old video? Just wondering how the trans rebuild went? All the best I enjoy watching your travels.
Yes, this was the last round trip before the transmission failed.
Hey Steve u got to get a new seat
Good morning.... Hopefully for you. I'm 4hrs away from leaving someone I've been with for almost 6 years ☹️☹️🤧😭😭😢
I’m sorry dude! It’ll hurt for a while but if it’s best for you then let it be. It’ll be worth it in the end!
Was it a Baltimore County engine?
How can you expect a man who's warm to understand a man who's cold?
Wooster,Ohio that's where I live. What's your 29 in Wooster.
What's your20
Long gone bro. I forget how long ago this was.
How long is the well on your trailer? I used to drive for a company out of Ixonia.
Hey my friend... I must say that I love watching your videos! Keep them coming! Quick question though... when are you going to get the Alcoa rims for Orwell?
Well the plan was spring. However with a transmission rebuild, that may take some more time.
@@fsctrucking oh okay Kool thank you for responding back!

That's a mistake you make once. "Learnin Lessons"
If the handle will even move one click you have room to release it, just back it off manually one click at a time.
What is the metal wire hanging down in a u shape
Hey Steve u need a tank
think your due for a set of alcola's for your rears
Don't have to make your beds anymore for the DOT

What are u spraying onto your strap ratchets??
wooster ohio is 2hrs from me
Thank not trucken, that's "That's Pickup T
Is there a reason that truckers keep truck running while loading or unloading? Seems like waste of fuel and money.
They don't use much fuel when idling, and startup is harder on an engine than idling for 20/30 minutes
11:39 very poor welding on that bucket.
11:38 is that the new ATS mod?
