Are you friggin kidding me??! How are you such an amazing designer & visionary & craftsman as a hobbyist??? Mind blown 🤯 and impressed is an understatement! Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is freaking awesome! also, for someone that's never worked with resin before you did a fantastic job. I really like how you challenge yourself to try and learn new things with each project! PS: good luck house moving!
Unbelievable, Jay! You took quite an unremarkable piece of furniture and turned it into a very distinctive MCM desk. I love the black alligator texture against the brushed brass (chef's kiss 💋)! Well done!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
You can read my mind. Seriously, you answered every question I had in my head as the video progressed. I love the top, I'd like it on a big coffee or dining table top. Thanks for sharing. As always, you've done a great job. Stay well.
Jay, this turned out A M A Z I N G!!! I’m so excited you did the Shou Sugi Ban!! My husband has made several pieces (keepsake gift boxes for our daughter’s bridesmaids and a few desks). He likes it so much (he’s the woodworking hobbyist) that I bought him a flame thrower (it’s a gun that you connect to a propane tank) for doing big desks and doors (like sliding barn doors for bedrooms). I’ll have to send you a couple of pics of the boxes and the best desk he’s done yet, it’s a wall mounted one in our son’s room. But this technique is a lot of fun, especially with different woods and how little or much burn you put on them. And then the epoxy pour was awesome!! It turned out so cool!! I also like that you did a clean pour over the entire top, it’s much more durable than pine for a desk top. Congrats on 30k subscribers and getting a new place!! So glad you’re going to have a proper wood shop (vs out in the elements and your living/dining room). Stay safe and look forward to new projects in your new shop!💜🇺🇦
Thank you so much Ashley ❤️ that’s super cool that you have a creative husband. I think that people don’t appreciate Shou Sugi Ban enough. Have a great week!
What a impeccable job you created. You are not only a Master Carpenter but you are also a Master Artist! Not many people can get a grand applause, but two Masters into a treasure for everybody to enjoy!!
The light was a real surprise! I like the effects you added very much. Personally I do not care for rounded edges but that’s just me-I think a flush edge is more modern looking. Congratulations and best wishes on your upcoming move.
what amazes me is not only your work but your ideas.....not in a million years would I have thought of a crack from two holes & then to top it all off you applied stitching....beautifully executed
Stunning...so unique with great finishing touches...what really good design idea for a piece that was knackered...wow! I think the desk is totally new now...it has a whole new era of design...go, busy man!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️😍😍😍😍😇😇😇😇
That is super cool! The brass stitches really add a lot of interest to the top. I'm wildly impressed that you poured the resin into the crack without getting any on the desktop! 😀
I'm watching this in Sept. 2024. I'm amazed on how far you have come, and how much you have learned. If only you could have known how exciting this journey was going to be, and we are right there with you every step of the way. Oh, and future Mondo.
Another amazing piece! I love your creativity! Congratulations on your new home and work space. I am trying to have a workshop built in my yard. Lesson learned never buy a house without a workshop or garage.😊
Well jay, you’ve done it again. Beautiful work and I am more then impressed with the epoxy and brass stitching. Your skills are only getting better and better. Awesome job on this one.
Sooooo cool! I love the stitch effect in particular but it's all gorgeous. Changing the legs was a brilliant decision, it changed the whole vibe of the piece. Delighted you will have a proper workshop, your skills will grow even faster!
OMG or should I say OMJay! So love that youtube somehow dropped you on my virtual doorstep. Watched your more recent work before this Gem caught my eye. The video editing might have changed overtime but the heart of the artist... that burns in you my friend and keeps us all coming for more.
I always love it when you pick up the blowtorch! This is an amazing transformation. I have to agree with the alligator skin, especially with the epoxy and brass element on the top. I wouldn’t have been able to tell that this was a first attempt with either the brass wire or the epoxy if you hadn’t mentioned it in the narration.
What an incredible transformation. Love the gold wire over epoxy! lights are very cool. The burning technique is sure easier than stripping and scraping.
Extraordinary and brilliant. I’m still catching up with your videos and keep finding new ones - new to me anyway. What a treat, lots more to find I hope.
OMG it's stunning. well done. I think from all the tubers I watch you finish everything properly. It's a real joy to watch. Thank you for amazing ideas. 😍
The magician is at it again. That’s my name for you, the Magician. I can’t even fathom thinking this stuff up, let alone doing it. I couldn’t figure out where you were going with this, the holes around the crack had me intrigued the entire time. The light is amazing. Didn’t see that coming. Best of luck on your move. I’m sure working in an alley, wasn’t ideal.
Congrats on getting a larger workspace, and on reaching 30K subs! I hope we continue to keep an eye on Mr. Warrior in the background. Cheers from Oklahoma!
Imagination, creativity, audacity merci

Thank you so much! Will post some UA-cam stories of the move
You get an A+ for creativity!
Wow! Your level of patience is amazing!
You have taken a very ordinary desk and made it extraordinary. Wow ❤
Wow, very mid century modern! Turned out well!

What a impeccable job you created. You are not only a Master Carpenter but you are also a Master Artist! Not many people can get a grand applause, but two Masters into a treasure for everybody to enjoy!!
thank you ;-)
ONE word for this piece, ok. 'STUNNING'. Thanks for the privilege of watching a 'Master' at work. Cheers, Don from South Australia.
The light was a real surprise! I like the effects you added very much. Personally I do not care for rounded edges but that’s just me-I think a flush edge is more modern looking. Congratulations and best wishes on your upcoming move.
This was a great teaching exercise. I want to purchase such a desk and shorten it for a sewing machine.
what amazes me is not only your work but your ideas.....not in a million years would I have thought of a crack from two holes & then to top it all off you applied stitching....beautifully executed

@@Flippingdrawers I think it looks amazing. I want to try epoxy resin. I love the brass stitching.
