Among more than 200 goals of this man, except for ones came from the penalty spot (in which he is also a worldclass master), all are watch-worthy. In most of them, he dribbled past at least one player then score. And in all the times he faced the goal keeper, he always tricked them through before scoring. Such a legend!
And in 1994 I was 10 and after he missed the penalty in the final I felt sorry for Italy and started supporting them as if they were my national team. This year was great. Forza Italia!

Its crazy all the managers hated him and he was benched for Italy so many times. Achieving what he did despite that AND despite his multiple knee injuries is incredible. Magical player
He was only benched at the latter end of his career, don't forget he ran the show at international level like maradona did at his peak for moments in 94
@@jimmyfoot832 The fact he had under 60 caps (should have been 100+), many of which were off the bench, tells us that he was terribly underused at International level. Yes, he was magnificent when he did play, gelling the attack, providing the team with some imagination, and stepping up, always making the difference. What's ironic is that he was in much better physical shape in 1990 and 1998. In 94, he was already carry injuries heading into the competition, and then picked up another against Bulgaria. Factor in the harsh conditions and it was a miracle what he produced in the US. He wasn't first choice for Italy despite being phenomenal for Fiorentina. He was dropped for the semi-final against Argentina in 1990, something which destroyed the momentum of the team (Baggio, Schillaci and Giannini had formed a terrific trifecta in attack). In 1998 he played second fiddle to a very out-of-form Del Piero. Despite this he had a fine tournament, and had he started against France who knows what may have happened? He wasn't called up in 2002, when he'd made a record recovery from injury to put himself in contention and had been in great form for Brescia - Arsene Wenger even stated that Baggio was the best player in Serie A at the time, at the age of 35. And how can we forget that he wasn't called up for Euro 1996 and 2000.

Roberto Baggio was a goal scoring machine..one of the best players o do it..also the way he went around the keepers is similar to R9. Definately should have had more awards and recognition..children nowadays don’t know what they have missed out on..
Playing on a bumpy pitch like a mine field, boots heavy , tackling from behind were ok, toughest defense in the world every match...n playing with a broken knee , still had those soft touches n breezing through the best defenders in the world . What can u say.
It's interesting to note that Baggio was frequently undervalued, but it's worth acknowledging that he was a remarkable player. His talent on the field was truly remarkable.
@ozgur284 he was not underrated, he suffered from injures and he played all the career with only one knee. He had problems with quite all his coaches, apart Mazzone at Brescia, because of his injures and because most of coaches wanted him to play as a second striker, not as pure number ten. He played in a period when number ten was changed. Only Carlo Ancelotti had the honestly to admit that he was a mistake to refuse to buy when he was the coach of Parma club. When Baggio played in Milan with Capello, he was not in good condition and Capello often refuse to make him play. Yes, he was unlucky, in 1990 and 1994 World Championship, he could have won with Italy. If he didn't suffered all those injures, he could have became one of the first 5 players of all time.

Pure genius! Baggio scored goals out of this world. The guy could dribble, shoot free kicks, curle the ball, volley shots and so on. Skills that not many players can master. Players of Baggio's caliber do not grow on trees. It was a joy to watch this guy play soccer.

absolute brilliance! the way he controlled the ball, speed & dribble, the ultra wide range of finishing shots... i dare to say even messi has no such richness in play
For me he is the best football player ever of Italy. Shot from distance, dribbling, first time shot, ball control from distance. I believed that penalty to the final of WC 1994 has been a unfortunate accident. Sorry for him injury 🤕.
Roberto is great italian player, never forget photo with number 10 on his shirt, skillful craftsman. The main problem was not his injuries, the main problem was that he did not find "his" coach. So did Messi, who had "his" coach, Guardiola. Many goals were given to him due to his skill, sense of the ball and vision of the field. And of course such a desperate desire to play football, not many men are able to go out into the street just after a cruciate ligament rupture injury after 77 days, he has already played and scored in Serie A. This speaks of the character of a person. For this he is greatly respected. Thank you Roberto for the matches that I watched as a child)))

That's why I have always loved Baggio, some of them goals were superb, any player who takes it round the keeper as part of their repertoire is top class. Baggio comes in the next layer of greats behind Messi and maradona. To be even up there after injurys is amazing. So Baggio, Zidane, Ronaldo (Brasil), Romario, Rivaldo, Ronaldhino, Zico, that's some of my next tier. Overall my heart is with Baggio because of what he went through and was claimed in the 90s to be the best around. 👍🏾🙏🏾
I'm not a football expert. But the games I've seen of Baggio is like seeing Maradona, Pelè, Ronaldinho etc. Unfortunately I heard that he had a very serious injury during his career, but what little he did proved to be among the greatest football players who existed.
Yes, at the age of 18 and on the eve of his move to Fiorentina, he suffered a terrible knee injury. He was told he would never play again. The operation consisted of a 4 inch metal bolt contraption being placed in the knee. What made matters worse is that he had an allergy towards painkillers, and was in absolute agony for a very long time and throughout his career. Just as he "returned" from that injury approx one year later, he suffered a relapse and had to have over 220 internal stiches in the same knee, and again without painkillers. Compared to the medical procedures today, the techniques back then were brutal. I believe he had six serious knee injuries in total during his playing career, and from one of them he made record breaking speedy recovery - he was fighting so hard to be back for the 2002 World Cup, his exceptional form at Brescia should have merited his inclusion, but Trapattoni cruely left him out.

His attacking football was just brilliant and at that time Italy had the best defenders in the world. 90s Italian football was class. Baggio tho was something special my all time favourite player
Among more than 200 goals of this man, except for ones came from the penalty spot (in which he is also a worldclass master), all are watch-worthy. In most of them, he dribbled past at least one player then score. And in all the times he faced the goal keeper, he always tricked them through before scoring. Such a legend!
I've never seen a player that dribbled with that ease past the goalkeeper. Unbelievable
started watching football in 94 coz of him. i was 9 then. today i am 35, still in love with the game. thank you, Divine Ponytail.
And in 1994 I was 10 and after he missed the penalty in the final I felt sorry for Italy and started supporting them as if they were my national team. This year was great. Forza Italia!

Roberto Baggio ''10''- Forever ! Italian Genius...Greets From Poland ;-)
It's amazing how many of the goals involved Baggio rounding the keeper, just wow
The closest player to Maradona you can get.
Come on dude...
HE MADE ME FALL IN LOVE WITH ITALY!ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE HISTORY OF THIS GAME!!TRUE LEGEND!!
It's obvious that Roberto Baggio could do whatever he wanted to do with the ball.
Pure Legend. Best italian 10 ever
Roberto Baggio in his prime would be the best player in the world TODAY.
He never was at his prime those knees deprived him of that
@@luislizard2626 Capello, Lippi and Sacchi helped to destroy Baggio's career more than all his knee injuries.
He is messi in 90s
the most loved Italian footballer of all time!
The one and only Raffaell of football
The greatest Italian Football Ever
Roberto Baggio The Legend live on

Just glad that all that was captured on camera back in the day, thanx for upload, don't forget he had 220 internal stitches to re-attach the ligaments in his right knee in 1985, doctors told him he'll never play again, and look at him after, my favorite football player of all time!
A genius scientist of the game. Unbelievable talent. One and Only.
What is this stupid comment “genius scientist”
He invented the game,??? Rubbish word utter by an unknown commentator, and now followed by million of clueless fan. Rubbish
@@greatatlas9494 Are you angry? Or did this comment fizzled your dizzle?
Personally the best 3 to play the game Maradona, R9 and Baggio.
I firmly believe you can't teach skills like that. The flair and finess with which he went about on a pitch is pure poetry in motion!!! My favourite player of all time
THE DIVINE PONYTAIL 4 EVER!!!
They dont make players like him anymore🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Non ce argomento di discussione...ROBERTO BAGGIO È IN ASSOLUTO IL MIGLIOR CALCIATORE ITALIANO DI SEMPRE!!! ❤😍
I still have his life size poster from the early 90s. Fantastic player.
Mai banale e pericoloso in qualunque parte del campo ricevesse palla . Robybaggio il divino!
Baggio had one of the best first touches you will ever see. His control and passing were amazing. Also a great goalscorer... surgical.
Baggio, the coolest guy ever on the pitch.
The greatest to me!!!! this guy got me into football aged 12, watching him at AC Milan...
What a player. Who every time exactly knows where is the gap and where is gonna score a goal. His placement is very precise unlike most of the strikers.I have never seen a striker of his capability and vision. For me the best footballer Italy has ever produced and right up there will all the best in the world.
Majorly criticized and underrated. ROBERTO BAGGIO IS THE BEST ITALIAN PLAYER OF ALL TIME. Easily top 5 footballer who has ever played the game. ROBERTO BAGGIO=FOOTBALL=LEGEND.. ( Look at 7:04 min)
Criticized baggio let's see messi and RONALDO have 6 operations on a knee ....but that's what GOD DEALT HIM AND MAYBE GODS WAY IN SAYING DONT GIVE UP ......BAGGIO CARRIED TEAM ITALY 🇮🇹 1990 ...1994 WORLD CUPS PLUS EUROS HES JUST VERY VERY STRONG MINDED

I fell in love with soccer because of Baggio.
An amazing talent! I had the pleasure of watching him play and he was mesmerizing! Truly an artist by definition.
Baggio is the reason I named my son Baggio. Legend for Eternity. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Best football player ever of Italy
Brazil always deserved against us Italians. If we ever won we had overcome the best. Brazil still stands as the '' Mecca'' or the '' Opera'' of soccer. And is a blessing to have the chance to beat them. Parabens Amigos brasileiros.
Baggio with six injuries one of 10 best of histories..baggio with no injuries....no historie
bellissimo, what a talent, he was a different level
Baggio will be always my favourite best player ever! I think the control touch against Juve was the best control touch I ever have seen!! What a player he was! What a class! Genius
A truly phenomenal player. A pleasure to watch. Out of all the Italian greats, Baggio has to top the list.

Pirlo's pass + Baggio's control
satisfying
That control is insane
Pure genius! Baggio scored goals out of this world. The guy could dribble, shoot free kicks, curle the ball, volley shots and so on. Skills that not many players can master. Players of Baggio's caliber do not grow on trees. It was a joy to watch this guy play soccer.
My favourite player of all time. Saw his World Cup 1990 goal and said I support the team he plays for. He just went to juventus. So have been supporting Juventus ever since.
And my is Zidane. But I respect Baggio as well and I remember very well the game in 94 against Brazil.
He is my favourite footballer, I am not gonna give him he GOAT title but he was my GOAT because of how he inspired me to play football.
What a pleasure to watch, the Italian equivalent to George best, truly brilliant never got the accolade he deserved
absolute brilliance! the way he controlled the ball, speed & dribble, the ultra wide range of finishing shots... i dare to say even messi has no such richness in play
Incredible talent. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The strongest Italian player of last 40 years, Baggio is the best.
Pure magic! With the ball in his possession, anything could happen. Thank you, Roberto!
Bravissimo Baggio!
What a beast.
What a legend. Thanks for the compilation.
Baggio is unique. Never seen a football player pass even the goalkeeper and let it sit on his ass on the grass... #Baggioforever
Yes man! Pure class!
Ronaldo nazario
Ronaldo Fenomeno scored 88 goals in this way , actually they played together in Inter. Very deadly duo
@@aakoch6062 It's a footballing tragedy that they were either injured most of the time, or played for coaches who had no idea how to make the most of them together.

just finished watching the documentary in netflix. It is mostly about his difficult moments of his life. i had to come here and watch his career goals
I just wished it had been a series. One short film doesn't even begin to tell the complete picture.

This video deserves an Oscar.. compliments!
Baggio was a wonderful wonderful player..
Baggio is a legend of the wonderful game. He could do it all with simplicity and brilliance! He was at the level of Best, Maradona, Cryuff and even Pele!
Absolutely AWESOME.
In Italy we never had such a clear, cristalline talent and class, before and later (not even Del Piero and Totti, two greats)!
With all due respect but Del Piero and Totti couldn't even lace Baggio's boots.
exactly! He was one of the greatest talents. In my opinion in one line with Maradona and Messi. And a such charismatic and sensitive guy. My favorite player ever! Greetings from Germany...
Concur mate the best after Maradona and R9 to play the game. I even rank him above R10 the player I love to watch and Zizou.
@@jzlnz LOOOOOL R9 would laugh at you for saying that he was better than Baggio 😂 Baggio is 10 times the player R9 was, there was a game against Roma were Baggio assisted R9 3 times and assisted Zamorano for a 4th goal. Who does that?? Only Baggio could and no matter what argument you might have, R9 is a great player but he's way below Baggio. Baggio is comparable ONLY to Maradona.
@@eldeebcampeador please be reasonable in your comments. You entitle to your opinion so does me. We can agree to disagree in good way. Bear in mind although I love Baggio but R9 won Fifa player at 20 yo and lost by One point to Sammer for Ballon D'or in 96, no ONE ever since reach that feet.
Those little feints and dummies to put the keepers on their ass. 😁😍 sublime.
One of the best ever
