Oh man, I’ve been craving a dessert like this lately. I love anything almond or ricotta. I might have to make this for next time I go to lunch with my friend. We’ve been fed up with local bakeries lately so I’ve just been making us desserts lol.

@@BlackCatKitchen it was both our birthdays recently so I made us a white cake with lemon curd and whipped cream frosting. It turned out well, my friend is picky about cake so I was glad it passed her test. lol

Actually I'm due for a treat this week. The 3 C's... 'Coffee, Cake and Conversation' with a friend or a complete stranger. I'll save the recipe and hope to get round to making it someday. That sounds like a wonderful plan, John! You’d probably never guess, but I’m a bit of an introvert myself. I struggle with starting conversations with people I don’t know. I will try to take a page out of your book and push myself out of my comfort zone! Now go enjoy those 3 Cs!! 😍
@@BlackCatKitchen Besides talking to myself, I can start a conversation with most people. Keeping it going, is the real challenge. People have become standoffish since Convid. They prefer to text their conversations now.
I had this for the first time a week ago in Umbria. We went to pick olives at a family member's villa and the cook made this incredible cake for the sweet after dinner. It's in the oven right now- Can't wait to taste it again!

ah I can't wait to try this. I also loved the breakfast baked sweets in Tuscany. Recently Ive made a gorgeous almond cake, thats more ground almonds than anything else it tastes divine has 225g ground almonds (I use whole almonds, soak remove skin, dry and grind -much cheaper and fresher than the store bought ground almonds, has only a little flour , butter, oil and lots of whole eggs..its's so tasty im in heaven eating so I can't wait to try this version of the Almond cake with ricotta cheese. @@BlackCatKitchen Everybody loves it. I did madea mistake of doubling the recipe and use a 10" round pan. The middle was still moving even after adding 10 minutes causing the outer rim over cook. I will just stay with one 9" round pan. I dont use my kitchen aid in making the batter but used the kitchebaid whisk the egg whites making it ready for me when im done with the batter. Many thanks for sharing/
Unfortunately, as the eggs are separated in this recipe, I wouldn't recommend replacing the eggs. I have tried recipes similar to this where I've substituted the eggs, but they didn't work. 😿 The only thing I'd consider would be aquafaba, but I couldn't guarantee this would work. Sorry! 😻

Hi, is there any replacement for eggs.
Unfortunately, as the eggs are separated in this recipe, I wouldn't recommend replacing the eggs. I have tried recipes similar to this where I've substituted the eggs, but they didn't work. 😿 The only thing I'd consider would be aquafaba, but I couldn't guarantee this would work. Sorry! 😻
