As a KC fan of 16 years, I honestly never get tired of my boys from Leeds! They do Yorkshire proud. I don't plan on stopping listening to them anytime soon
As an Aussie there's a few English/Scottish bands from that era that always stood out as genius to me when I'd hear them on triple J (national broadcaster). Kaiser Chiefs, Maximo Park and The Futureheads come to mind.
they just announcded 2024 tickets, planning on seeing them kinda of, i'm in two minds though... I wish i knew the setlist for 2024

I think that this song has incredible foresight into life in modern society.
We turn to social media to create a persona that doesn't represent our actual lives; just the best bits. We've become a Big Brother highlight reel getting our 15 minutes of fame.
The modern world is a lonely place and our need for attention has grown as a consequence so we will do anything to fill the void and be noticed because if you don't, you are cast aside. This is the modern way.

Tennis ball video, is what I call this, it's one of the only songs and videos that stuck with me as a kid, loved the whole never give up attitude with the tennis ball, follow your dreams guys.
I met the juggler once, over a decade ago now, in Covent Garden when he was doing his street performance. With a girlfriend and a couple of mates. No idea what happened to any of them.. ahh those were easier times.
I hope the Juggler is still well though, he was a nice dude.

It is difficult to express in words how amazing this video is. It really has little to do with the band or the song, but it tells a compelling story that sucks you in. That the song is good is a plus.
This is one of the few songs in the last twenty years that have made me think "hey! that's not bad!"

my first ever gig back in 05 was seeing them at glasgow academy, along with the cribs and maximo park on the nme tour, what a night! saw them again since then, great energy when they play live too
I met KC in Chile, with their songs "I predict a riot" and "Ruby". These were their only two hits on radios but I believe they deserved more recognizement.
