I tried your method and it works for a simple motion track, but it cannot handle when something moves into the area of the object that is being tracked. For instance, if you are motion tracking an object on a shirt, once the person's hand moves into the area, the tracker becomes confused and begins tracking the hand.
Thank you for the tutorial! I ws trying to use this method to remove a mouse pointer from my video but it is not able to track it. I made sure that the pointer is in focus and has a dark background. When I hit the "Track forward and reverse", the tracker moves a bit and then just stops. :( I don't think it is able to track the pointer.
