- My friends, painting Easter Eggs is a tradition I never really participated in, so this year I decided to give it a try - and, of course, I chose a color palette I'm most familiar with, so let's paint a US Army Egg from Normandy, a German Egg from Kursk 1943, and a Soviet Egg from Berlin 1945!

A rooster wakes up early Easter Sunday morning. He sticks his head out of the chicken coop, and sees all these multicolored eggs all over the barnyard. He takes a look at the eggs, takes a look at the hens, takes another look at the eggs, takes one more look at the hens, he thinks about it for a minute, then he walks across the barnyard and kicks the crap out of the peacock.

You can freehand the white stripes because historically the egg crews often applied those markings in the field, also by hand.

The plastic eggs are a compelling alternative to try out paints and weathering techniques before the model! I was hoping to see the seams be covered in weld marks because what reputable tank manufacturer *doesn't* weld together egg halves?
The logical conclusion to this experiment is a return of the Sharotank model... in Easter livery! 🐰

This was fun. Maybe next year we can see a Japanese egg with “yellow” stripe camo, a British one in the Caunter desert scheme and perhaps something French or Italian.

The soft edge removal looked great. I saw the airbrush going on and was freaking out (yeah, again) but I waited, and "la" it got all better.

Well done great way to just get some practice with an airbrush and experimenting with shading and texture. Then you also get a decoration that reflects your hobby, win win👍

That hole in the egg is the port for the MG34 or Browning M1919.

I don't honestly see the point
It's nice to see your tyle with out weathering and they look awesome! Which I did learn a bit like the soviets had invastion stripes in WW2 and the basics never hurt espeicly when my style is just that... Also a nice thing about washes is then unify the model kinda like an over coat and in the 40k painting community is just another step to most painters atleast on youtube because of the unifying and the brownfcation being more 40k like.
