      They decided to schedule it for demolition as soon as Hef died, anyway. Nobody was planning on preserving it, unfortunately. That’s why its so easily vandalized, there’s nobody paying for security or to lock it up. Because it’s going to be gone soon.

    I love watching these videos of old abandoned homes. What upsets me is how people ( probably teens) go in and vandilize the properties with graffiti and such. Such disrespect. If people are going to explore these places, please do, but don't contribute to any vandalism. Whoever lived there cherished their belongings and just because of circumstances doesn't give anyone the right to steal, break or graffiti the walls.

There are so much damage and so many things destroyed in this once beautiful home. There are still some good things in the house that haven't been broken or stolen yet. Just makes you sick to see this. And kids have nothing better to do than destroy property that isn't theirs. Parents you did a fine job raising these little bastards.

It is the parent's fault that they didn't raise their kids worth a shit. Gave them everything they wanted like the money to buy the paint instead of them working for it themselves. Since everything is free to them they don't appreciate one damn thing that is given to them or anyone's property. When they get older and If mom and dad makes them buy their own car, I would love to see how they feel if someone paints their car with paint cans. They need their asses beaten.

I was so upset seeing a kid admitting to this I replied to him and told him what I thought and let him know it was against the law. He was a kid about 13 or 14 years old. Located high atop Missionary Ridge overlooking Chattanooga, the Swinger’s Tiki Palace began as a dream home idea of prominent strip club owner, Billy Hull. After two years of planning, architect Ed Ball set out building the most unusual house in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Anticipation grew as the house took 14 months to complete. Finally in 1972, close to 10,000 people attended the open house.The 5,600 square foot 3 bedroom 4.5 bath home was featured in a builder’s magazine for its unique Playboy bunny shaped pool. The pool had swim tunnels leading to separate bedrooms. The bedrooms were modest in size compared to the large indoor living room/pool area.In 1973, a friend of Billy Hull shot and killed his wife’s boyfriend outside of a nightclub. A victim of his own lifestyle, the evidence was overwhelming. Mr. Hull was found guilty of murder for hire. Another unsuccessful murder for hire plot was brought forth by the gunman during trial, implicating Billy Hull on a second murder charge.The gunman was found guilty of manslaughter. Mr. Hull was found guilty of murder and received 20 years. He fought the conviction to the Tennessee Supreme Court which affirmed it 4 years later. However, things get more twisted 2 years later when a defense witness in the case was found dead in the trunk of a car. A friend of the Billy Hull was found guilty of the murder.The 1980s were no easier on Billy Hull. Charges of tax evasion of his night clubs while being incarcerated led him to going broke. There are rumors several families moved in and out of the Swinger’s Palace over the years but that is unconfirmed. Recently, vandals broke in the home destroying everything in sight. The home fell into foreclosure becoming seized by the city for back taxes. The Swinger’s Tiki Palace has been condemned and is scheduled for demolition.

    1. ALWAYS protect your identity. When you show your face like you did, you voluntarily give the police evidence that you gained illegal entry.
    2. NEVER EVER forcibly gain entry to an abandoned building. Find an entrance that is already open. Don't be that guy that broke into a property.
    3. DRESS APPROPRIATE, boots long pants, gloves, MASK. getting hurt in a place your not familiar & having a fat ass carried out Is NOT FUN.
    4. NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FROM THE PROPERTY, it's burglary you video taped it, that's called EVEDENCE.
    Follow those basic rules when urban exploring and your all good. Otherwise thanks fer the video.

If caught, a judge should order adults to go in their homes and break everything. People that vandalize property are useley miserable, unhappy and jealous of others. The only way they can make themselves feel better is to make others unhappy. They show their jealousness by destroying things even if they don't know who it belongs too. Destruction is the only thing that makes them feel better.

      How’d you come up with that psychological assessment of vandals? Pretty presumptuous and conjectured. People often vandalize abandoned property because they’re bored and ignorant, or disrespectful, or young, and they think it doesn’t matter anyway or they’re just trying to get a thrill. There a litany of reasonings behind it, but I doubt much of it has anything to do with jealousy or trying to make anyone else unhappy. Unless you’re vandalizing private property that’s clearly still used by someone and not already abandoned and broken, you’re probably not gonna directly hurt anyone. And if you’re trying to hurt others for personal catharsis, you’d wanna actually be able to observe their pain rather than break something and just hope someone eventually finds it and cares. The biggest problems with wanton destruction like this is it leaves dangerous broken glass and the like, and eventually someone will have to clean it up.

    I actually know some people that went to school with Billy Hull, they’re in their late 70s and early 80s now, and they know his ex wife Gloria and he even has a sister named Gloria. They said they’ve been to a class reunion at this house and swam in the pool. They said they heard from (ex wife) Gloria that Billy died a few years ago, but sadly do not remember any of the details of where, when, etc. if he had been alive still he would be around 82-83 years old. They claimed when they see (ex wife) Gloria again which shouldn’t be too far off in the future they will find out some details.

      Im from Chattanooga. I knew Hull. He was no "tycoon" He was a small time Thug, that was always involved with criminal element. Drugs, thugs, prostitutes. I had been in there when it was open. It was shabby built and craftsmanship. I knew Paul Grey as well, another club owner in town just like him. This places name was Swingers Tiki Palace. He went to prison for Murder for hire. Killed his wife Glorias lover. Then implicated later for the murder of a key prosecution witness that was found LONG dead in the trunk of a car. The building was on the edge of Missionary Ridge. It DID have a fence and tons of signs when this guy went in. The house was seized by banks and Hull was charged and convicted of tax crimes by the IRS. Just google his and her name and the name of the club. Plenty of info. It was quite a saga.

      @chrisrush3513 5 років тому

      Tony, I’m from North Georgia, I didn’t know about the house until it was too late but I drove up to where it was. The gate was all that was left. I’ve heard stories about Paul Gray as well, like he owned some apartments and a taxicab company as well as his clubs. I think he was killed in the late 80s?

      It had NOTHING to do with Playboy Org. They sued his ass over using their image he did remove a very large bunny outside, but he got away with the one in the pool for unknown reason. He was not a "tycoon". He was a dreaming small time Thug. The place was filled with prostitutes, criminals, drugs. Owner was imprisoned for murder for hire and tax crimes. It was called the Swingers Tiki Palace. in Chattanooga, where I live. I was in it when it was open with a group of guys bar hopping. It was shabbily built. For all the saga, just Google Billy Hull, and the club name.

If they happen to stay alive to get older. It makes me sad to see them destroy something like this and steal things. Yet do they realize that they will be the exact same people when they get older that gets robbed and cries to the police about it. When it does happen to them and it will because karma always comes back. They need to remember what they did here.
