I gasped when I saw the Fittonia on the thumbnail 😍 I'm so happy for you that you finally found a beautiful new one! I have a small Fittonia and I love her so much.
your baby gags had me laughing so much. I'm currently going through the same symptoms in my first trimester and my plant fertilizer makes me so nauseous.
Can't help but wonder how many gags you had to cut out while potting the fittonia 😂 somehow the voice over during the Green Chef section sounded different, gave me airplane safety announcement vibes 🤣 fun video🤗
LOVE that you've found another Fittonia! And as gorgeous, too! It's so pretty and lush. Your new SOH is gorgeous too! I did that with mine before I sold them. The reason they grow so wrll when you wrap them up like that in high light is because they're actually ground cover plants in their natural habitat. That's why they root so easy when you lay them on top of soil. They love loads of light. I had mine in my grow tent and they kept flowering and were so full.
I agree with you, I will always have a Fittonia in my home too! There's just something about them that is irresistible~ Be well, be happy, be blessed Becca!
I love Fittonia, too. I have found that they do like a lot more light than I thought at first. That is a beautiful one and I love that bowl you put it in.
Tis the season for repotting! Suggestion for a future video - I recently rewatched your video on plants to buy small because they grow quickly. It would be great to get a video about their adolescent next stages. Specifically, I have plants I bought small, that obviously have multiple plants in their container and are growing really well. But they seem to0 closely packed for when they reach larger sizes. I wonder if they need to be spread out when repotted. And how to do that (does this get complicated with trying to separate roots)? I can find videos about dividing and potting separately, but I want these to grow big and full (just not so crowded, if that makes sense). Specifically looking at this issue with peace lily, ZZ plant, schefflera, and maybe a tineke rubber plant. Love your videos and congrats on the upcoming baby!
My fittonia I think is going to die 😢 but I have propagated her because she is soo special to me, because a year ago, I met my plant friend, and now we are best friends, so hopefully the props will be ok 🤞
If your patio is in full sun, you want to make sure the plants can tolerate that. You also want to slowly acclimate them to being outside (kind of like hardening off seedlings) so you don't accidentally sunburn them. You'll probably also have to water more frequently because they can dry out quickly outdoors.
you could get the same plant for less and better condition if you get it from a local nursery, not only are you supporting small businesses you are also getting a better plant for less.(dont buy plants from home depot)
BEST WAY TO ROOT A PLANT IS TO MIX 50/50% MOSS & PERLITE. THIS WAY THE PLANT HAS LESS CHANSES TO ROOT ROT. PLACE IN THE GREEN HOUSE AND MAKE A SELFWATERING POT LIKE. I PUT A CONTAINER WITH WATER WICH DOESN'T TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF THE POT WITH THE CUTTING I'M ROOTING. FIND CONTAINERS WICH FIT IN ONE ONOTHER BUT DOESN'T TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF EACH OTHER. IT WORKS AMAIZINGLY FOR ME. 💯🪴

Great vid! Just an idea that I’m doing for my new niece due in August, start a jade plant for your baby that will be the same age as he/she grows. Xx
If I unexpectedly saw becca at a plant swap- I'd be star struck 😂😅

Heyyy girl! Is there certain plants that can go outside on the patio and some you wouldn’t recommend?…. Like besides cactus and succulents?
