LOL! Apparently I'm not the one that doesn't understand a joke... it was obviously sarcasm. Having grown up in the rave error, and a techno fanatic (general term that encompassed techno, house, etc, before EDM was a term), I'll be the first one to admit, EDM is possibly the most repetitive music in existence. And yes, I do know the commercial was a joke. It's why I searched for this clip. A better vid would have been someone looping this into an actual remix. Or, even looping the full 30sec audio (daylight come parody), to the looped video/other granny DJ's like Mamy Rock, DJ Granny, DJ Wika, etc.
Jon Joseph, I sported the UFO pants, dropping a double stack igloo, and partying all night to DJ Icey, Baby Anne, Q*Bert, Bad Boy Bill, just dancing, smiling and partying all night in clubs and warehouses across the midwest in the 90's and early 2000's. Yeah, EDM wasn't even a term used back then. It was a very unique scene and life experiences. No social media, no GPS, you just hoped the party flyer you had in hand, provided accurate info, lol
I'm not denying it was better back then. I had Caffeine gear too. The scratch n sniff UFO pants that smelled like mint (yes, you got weird looks when people smelled your pants. And then more people wanted to join in). Back when capacity limits were never followed. Back when it was because you liked the music, not because it was cool to do. When you were forced to find mp3 sites, since you could rarely buy a good CD or mp3's online. Though, it was partly b/c they didn't want to get sued for sampling other's music. Hell, even Eiffel 65 whom put out cd's and got big, their name was from a random word generator and accidentally had 2 digits next to it added in. Artists always did it so you wouldn't think the artist was big enough to be worth suing. You always had a techno room, a drum and bass room, etc., at each event. Back with house, happy hardcore, etc., there was no EDM. It was crazy going from obscure around 96, to even mainstream radio like Z100 adding their mixes of pop music by 99/00. And then it started going back into obscurity again. Yes, I lived it back in HS, and never thought it would go mainstream.
I was looking for this since last year.
Glad I could help you find it.
I love this commercial!

There isn't any full version online to be found. Besides, this was intended to be a joke. lol
