I soldiered the GPS wiring into to the heated grips wiring because the grips are less than 5 amps and the gps is less than 2 amps and each accessory circuit is 10 amps and adding them to ACC 2 keeps both on switched power. I detailed this around 3:12 minutes into the video. …hope that helps
I think the 5 works great but I haven’t tried the 8 or 10. I will be adding running lights so there are three bright lights upfront on my bike so I don’t really need the headlight to be brighter. I think more lights equals more visibility. And the dual5 solves the problem of the stock headlight being almost invisible in traffic.
There several different styles and sizes. I chose the premium adventure size. They seem to be the longest. This way when I trim them at the line on the grip, they are just a bit longer than stock and have full coverage of the heating element for the entire length of the grip.
@@dualsportgarage Excellent and thank you so much for a quick response. I'm looking at downsizing too (1200GSA) for long distance (Aussie outback) dirt and ordering an LR. Good luck and enjoy your riding!
How did you wire your heated grips and GPS to the single ACC2 connection or did you use ACC1 for one of the devices?

How do you like the Dual5 light? Do you wish you had the Dual8 or Dual10?

@@dualsportgarage The Dual8 is only $77 more than the Dual5, so I guess I’ll go that route
Is there a choices of models from Oxford for the 701. If so which one did you use please?
