- Not really a speedrun or anything, I was just playing around with the aerial pellet HBG build and ended up with a decent time, so I decided to upload this run on UA-cam as well.

If they bring in pellet shots, they are the most disruptive shot types to teams, second only to crag/cluster. The flinch from those shots are the bane of many hunters, since even Adept can mess up their evades with that.
Due to such circumstances, I only carry pellet shots in my LBG sets when possible to stop stun status quickly on other hunters when safe to do so (I use recover shots when their health is too low and may not evade attacks in time). As Full House III is my primary art (based from my limiter removed LBG sets in 4U), I hunt as an Adept support gunner, ensuring that I fire as frequently as possible by changing ammo in succession the moment the clip is empty.
I've been on the receiving end of those shots in the blademaster sets.

I actually got a +5 Pellet Up triple slot charm a few days ago and made my own aerial pellet set. It has similar skills, but only Attack Up S, since the charm only had the pellet up skill and nothing else. Might try modifying it in the future if I end up getting a better charm, but I've had fun with it so far, mostly using it against Zinogre and Drilltusk. To be honest I think Aerial Pellet should be listed as one of Zinogre's main weaknesses.
This is perfect for people like me who can't aim to save their lives OneHand

When I tried Aerial HBG in the demo, I was like "If I had some pellet in this thing, I'd be in business". I was ahead of the meta, but I don't typically gun until I've gotten my blademaster stuff sorted out way in the endgame. That's why I never got around to it.

I LOVE slow weapons such as the HB and the GunLance.
I mostly use elemental and pellet shots but end up dealing way less damage with pellets. I'm surprised with the hidden mobility of Aerial HB, I may give it a try later :D

I admit, that is an excellent way to burn through all of those huskberries/ bone husks and wyvern fangs...
But that set is impressively creative, regardless.

I am at a loss on the level of devastation that set can inflict.
I managed to build a similar set to this, except with Critical Eye +2 instead of +3, and I tried it on a LR Zinogre. I cannot tell you how gleeful I was to see that barrage of crits raining down from above.
I might have to use this when I return to MHGU. The High Rank Zinogre key quest "Whatdunnit" kicked my ass into the ground with the Aerial IG and I got so pissed off that I just stopped playing the game after 3 attempts.
I'm gonna get my revenge on this Thunder wolf. One day.
It's funny how Zinogre's head is such a pellet magnet, you will still hit his head while shooting from behind him
I just got done fighting Zinogre in the MR Arena 06 quest for a hero king coin with a HBG. It was so painful I had to come back to MHGen for revenge.

First aerial duals, then the aerial swaxe, then the aerial pellet. I don't about y'all, but I think aerial style breaks the game even more than the adept style

Used to HBG a lot on MHFU, but for some reason I am just not just as good at MHX HBG, I'll try it again and guess Imma start this way 😂
So pellet shots do work for something. I felt that pellet shot were nerf since mh freedom unite and they were tottaly useless

how do you shoot all 3 shots in one go, i tried playing aerial pellet hbg with a Tankmage and some gear to give me Attack L, When i try to do this, i press B to roll closer, then B to jump and press A, but it fires only 1 shot straight, does it have to be a bigger boss? i tried on a Khezu.

The Zinogre attacked once in the first 60 seconds. And that was just a simple charge. The rest of the time he stood there and roared. Whenever I fight Zinogre he moves around like lightning and constantly attacks. Why is he standing still doing nothing for so long?
I'm noobie but I guess it's because he's actually taking a shitton of damage in the same spot and every X damage monsters have animation (roaring for example).
ArchAngelThomas He keeps knocking Zinogre out of the charging animation. The number 1 priority of an uncharged Zinogre is to charge up. Even when Zinogre was charged, he made sure not to stand too far away, since monsters do different things depending on how far you are. For example, Rathalos may charge or spit a fireball at you if you're mid distance, tail swipe if you're next to his feet, or fly at you if you're far away. Canta kept Zinogre at mid distance where his attacks are more easily telegraphed and kept staggering him as a punish.

Manuel Martinez Adept for general use because of the insane double dash you get after an evade, and Striker if you know the fight and want maximum damage. Blood Wind 1 and Lion's Maw 3 are insanely powerful together. Blood Wind 1 because the other two take too long.

David Evans I think you can only do it in a couple styles. I know Adept can.
After doing a bit of play-testing trying to specifically do it in guild (the style I use) I can now perform it without any issues. Thanks though!
Aparently every MHGen Player I see playing HBG are going either Pellets or Normal lvl 2. Has Pierce and normal 3 been nerfed or something? :l
normal lv2 has always had a higher motion value, lv3 ricochets to make up for lower motion. Pierce is really only good against very big monster.
pierce still works well against medium sized monsters like zinogre, nargacuga ext.
You should've killed it with an aerial pellet shot.

No, Rapid fire pellet on Lbg is not that good I tried to use it a lot of times for comparison against a Hbg and Lbg lacked a lot in every aspect the only thing to use aerial Lbg over hbg is rapid fire saves more bullets but even then it's better to bring items to combo for the Hbg.
Hbg is the way to go with aerial pellets at least it's usable.
pellet was only ever good in Portable 3rd, the one the US didnt get, holy hell Pellet lvl 2 and 3 on duramboros LBG fkn rekt house lol.

In my early Gammoth hunts, *I AM* the HBG hunter.
Aereto Gammoth vs most aerial weapons just kind of dies especially aerial dual blades
Seth The Hedgehog I used Striker HBG at that time. Providing Mid-range fire support. Currently, I take on Gammoths with adept dual blades, bow, and LBG. I don't find aerial my preferred style.
Aereto I was good with aerial dual blades but eh. Now my best weapons are adept LS and adept SnS and I'm proficient with any great sword except aerial (I used to main GS so yeah) Though I only use adept or build GS and LS against Gammoth. It works pretty well since I play with my brother who has never used anything besides aerial dual blades in this game.
