Nice to see other people taking Lemons' styling of challenge runs with some fun commentary and actual explanations! Kudos on beating Quelaag to death with a dustbin lid
7:27 In ds1 Kirk is a former (probably) darkwraith who has since joined the daughters of chaos. He reappears in 3, this time as a finger of rosaria, since the fair lady is rather dead. On a side note the darkwraiths in ds3 are probably part of the fingers of rosaria, since their the only enemy to drop pale tounges
9:12 Did you know that in the early days of elden ring fextralife said that elden beast was immune to holy damage? You learn that the wikis aren’t that good for specifics pretty quickly
I don't think they're part of the fingers unless the fingers of rosaria are also aligned with the abyss since yk there were darkwraiths in Farron trying to make their way to the Abyss Watchers
Hey loved the video. Just thought I'd let you know, Iron golem doesn't stagger like other enemies. He's unique in it's purely damage based. He cannot be "poise breaked" like other enemies. I believe it is a 200 damage on 4-5 seconds for him to "stagger" then 400 damage in 4-5 seconds for him to fall. Completely unique mechanics as far as I know as most other enemies (and the player)use poise and poise damage to stagger.
This video showed me how deceptively large the butcher’s knife hitbox is. Like, I fought Gwyn with a CLAYMORE and he was just back stepping and avoiding my attacks completely, but in this video it looked like he was a mile away from your attacks and you still managed to land consistent hits on him!
Kirk’s sword and shield are guaranteed by his last invasion, so you would’ve gotten them 100% chance…. But you still would’ve had to beat O&S + Izaleth gauntlet first. Love the vid ❤️
@@calvalier520 they are! all 'unique' drops that have a limited amount of enemies will always give the item when u kill the last specimen (ex you can have 100% the mimic head by killing all of them!)
@@calvalier520 Don't take this as a hate word but....Seriously what is your problem.? 140 damage to Ornstein and you think it's trash, You used black knight weapons in your first ten playthroughs didn't you.?
It could be made harder you can only use each weapon once for each boss to kill upon losing all 5. You have to go Bare-handed. So choose your 5 bosses wisely armor from invasions is allowed to mitigate some of the difficulty if desired. Edit: Yes, that includes Side Bosses and DLC Bosses.
I remember conceptualizing something like this before. First was the "Captain Planet" run where you can only use gear that NPC Summons could use. Fortunately you could do the game 100% like this as the Deprived starts with a Wooden Plank Shield (which Maneater Mildred uses). Then I'd grab the Parrying Dagger in New Londo (as Lautrec uses it) and then I'd go to Blighttown to get the Meat Cleaver (as that's another Mildred weapon). It's a good thing Sif was an NPC Summon in the DLC too, otherwise you wouldn't be allowed to use the Covenant of Artorias.
11:24 fun fact about iron golem, weapons ability to stagger normal enemies doesn't affect him at all. The only thing that causes him to fall is taking 400 damage to a leg. Though that also means that if you can bait him to fall over and focus a leg, he is a very easy fight with that little health.
It's funny when people call Gwyn the final boss without realising that final is synonym for last, last boss, if you fight Gwyn before beating all the optional bosses or the DLC, the run is finished, thus he will always be the last and final boss you ever fight in Dark Souls 1. It's also notable that the point of why Gwyn is the way they are (and the lords) that most of them have lost part of their power before you face them, i think the only lord that is not weaker than they're supposed to be is Nito. I do think Havel deserves their own boss fight one day, maybe FromSoftware should make a April Fools DLC thing for Elden Ring and have you go to a alternate place where instead of Erdtree there's a huge rock, with another rock on it with rocks surrounding these rocks, and then the enemies you meet are various different Havel Knights. Intellect and Dex builds would be internally screaming ngl because Havel is resistant to magic and the knights would likely have big bulky weapons (which might be easy to dodge for the better players) but if you get hit, you gonna get oneshot likely.
whips seem more for utility.... like put it in your offhand, and enchant the bleed whip with electric to make it stun like a beast I like usign the notched whip with a Katana... cuz bleed on bleed lol
Pretty good vid, but it was a bit annoying to hear the whip slandered so much when you weren't even taking advantage of its huge reach and just using it as a straight sword. Keep up the good work tho
That's some tough luck getting cursed so many times! 🤣 Great idea to limit the weapon usage so you're forced to use all of them, although I was a bit worried the sword wouldn't drop for you! 😛
I was almost done watching the video when I noticed the background music. I recommend increasing the volume a bit since the disparity with the volume of your voice is too much at the moment. Also, it would be nice to have a counter on the screen showing how many uses you had for each weapon. Good video overall.

Fun fact. Becoming human raises curse defense by a ton. Thought you should know that
Yeah but he would have died a lot anyway, so hard to maintain the human form.

Not even just saying it was immune but outright healed from holy damage
Kirk is a simp

@@SaltyGaming-b3s Seriously what is your problem? You could have phrased this much differently but social issues persevere.
you proabably could have allowed kirks armor sense u get it by killing kirk all 3 invasions but that would probably lessen the challange
The damage boost from the rolling pokes of thorn armor would really ruin the run
Was not expecting to hear demon’s crest music that is sick as hell. Love that game
10:33 I in fact did care so thank you for that
I would have allowed invader armors for this run personally, but i understand wanting to maximize the challenge

I use the xanthous overcoat a lot so I figured he would too, was impressed that he didnt
Wow, I’m glad I never used whips. I didn’t know they were that horrible.

Don't say "backpocket" while only wearing a loincloth 😭
My bad, would "prison pocket" be a better fit?
The joke is; what back pocket 😂
I knew I heard R&C music thanks for putting it in the description!
Cool challenge idea
very interesting idea for a run! i guess kirks armor would be best in slot, eh?
for protection, yes. But Jerimiah looks way too funny.
The whips are all so bad lmao
Imagine being so bad that someone would pick a spiky shield over you

Golden axe makes me happy
kalameth feels ways worse because the fucking run back is waiting
Um excuse me Demon's Crest music?

Good vid, subbed
I love all the ratchet and clank music he uses in this video.
ratchet and clank are top ten when it comes to ost's
I always said Quelaag the way that her sister says it if you're wearing the Old Witch Ring
that's what I used to think, but apparently miyazaki thinks different.
Great video man
So, you could say this run was... cursed?
😡
Kirk invaded me right before bed of chaos not in the sewers
The Demon's Crest music was apt :D
luv me Demon's crest
Kirk can actually drop both the sword and shield at the same time btw.

that's fair. I guess i'm just so used to playing ds in a certain way that I subconsciously fight at close range.
@@calvalier520 IIRC Whips also do more damage when hitting with a 'sweet spot' at the very tip of their range. Yknow, cuz irl that's how whips work.
