Rockstar used to be a company that gives zero fucks about what people thinks about their game because most of the complaint comes from people who never play their game. Can't say the same with Rockstar these days.
The reason it was canceled starts with euro and ends with dollars
The only reasons I could think of for why Bully 2 would never exist is: 1. GTA Online cash cow, and 2. The controversies the first game had when it was released.

This hurts man it really does. Like the fact that they had/ have a playable version is enough to say hey we doin it. But the fact the features was put in rdr2 a game that is better than gta v but is the underdog hurts me. Honestly when u said they has a 8 hour demo and the game had all these features it made me want to cry only because I like bully way too much. It's mainly the only game I can go back to qnd never finish and still have fun to this day. I been in chapters 1 and 2 for a long time and not a day goes by the game becomes dull to me. The fact that each chapter you have a new clique hating you is a great feature. I just feel bully se was an all around great game basically the rdr2 of its time. Underrated but qlot of potential smh.

@ Alekillo10: All GTA V Online DLC's are using resources from the game. For example in every new DLC there are re-used props. The submarine from Bogdan Problem is re-used as Pavel's submarine. The storage/garage from the Cayo security key card prep mission is a re-use of the Pegasus garage/Import export .
Pavel's and bogdan's Submarine are not the same. Only the Submarine in the signal jammer prep is the same like bogdan's
I remember when R* would actually release games with new mechanics to test them which culminated eventually into a new GTA game.

They don't "still do that" compared to the past.
After GTA III there was city crisis. The helicopter mechanic was introduced and was added to VC.
After VC there was A State of Emergency and Manhunt.
The stealth and melee wad added to SA along with the rioting pedestrians. ASOE was also testing how many sprites they could have running around.
Then there was Bully, Warriors, RD Revolver, MP, Midnight Club and Smugglers Run
Some mechanisms were implemented from those games into future projects (GTAO has Smugglers Run and Midnight Club incorporated) but, it all ended with GTAV. Now its just that for the foreseeable future.
If R* were still operating as they used to we would definitely have seen Bully 2.
That says to me that T2 has way more control over R*.If they didn't then high up staff would not have left and a more established and trusted team would have been given the task of defining the Trilogy DE (R* Leeds for example).

If GTA 5 didn't make this much money or to be more clear, if rockstar weren't this greedy, all these cancelled projects would have been released

@@jay2chill134 Wrong kiddo, the reason Bully 2 was sidelined was exactly for the reason that the franchise doesn't guarantee R* any huge income in the same way RD and GTA franchises does (pure greed), precisely the reason why we only had these two iterations released these over the past decade. Even the project Agent (complete new IP) was canceled for that very same reason, frankly because they don't want to take risks any longer by bringing something new to the table. Frankly the business structure these days in the entertainment industry is by doing as little effort as possible and making as much profit as possible. Precisely the reason why even the movie industry follows the same pattern, only focusing on remakes/reboots/rehashes of past classic success with cheap nostalgia bait, or superhero movies which guarantees a huge steady income by the mindless lemmings, or consumer bots (zoomers) who has ruined everything, the same people in GTA online which also scrapped the single player dlc which was planned ahead by R*, now ask yourself why they canceled that as well genius.

I just noticed that in the contract DLC, at the mission you have to go to the yatch, the interior is exactly the same interior as seen in Max Payne 3. Except in GTA V is way less detailed.

I haven't played Bully in a very long time but was blown away at how cool it was and became one of my favorite PS2 games.
Quite an interesting Bully 2 leak there indeed🤯 though it's a great shame the project itself got abanonded, especially when a large playable demo like that exists, but who knows if they might resume the development in future or not!🤔👍

What they should make is Bully 2 Online and add flying bikes and nuclear cannon to attract kids. Take GTAO back to its roots, gangs and crimes. Just bullets and cars, none of those RPGs and flying tanks. Then RDO for older folks, real western stuff. No sedating animals and no "CAPPA TALE LAY."
So…an article…with no real proof…means Bully 2 exists! Nothing from Rockstar…no real confirmation…and the fact that this has come up about Bully 2 many years ago and was proven fake leads me to not trust this at all! How is this a leak? This old news. Like yeah, we all knew RDR 2 was the game that finally brought back the dialogue interaction from Bully but what would’ve been the Bully 2 upgraded system from the first Bully. But better in Bully 2 since every individual would remember you m. Unlike RDR 2.
RDR 2 only has a few npcs who remember you. And not even permanently. For example, store owners. If it’s been a week in game, they’ll be completely neutral with you.
Bully 2 would’ve been and could still be in the Portal 2 realm of quality and advancement from the first game. Mind blowingly better. But you sjw trolls want to be offended just to be a troll. So yup, that’s great.

In my opinion was Bully 2 planed but it got cancelled. One of the reasons could be that Take Two doesn't liked this idea because the production would cost more than the money they earn in the end. I mean what did Dan houser all these years after he wrote the story for Red dead Redemption 2

Rockstar new england eh? and the games been shelved? well I can tell you why just based on the credits of RDR 2, weirdly theirs some mention of the firegirl from Saint Denis being from new england if you actually look her up, the VA of Black Bell is actually also in new england along with a few other people, they most likely also got put on RDR 2 duty given how long that game took to come out with its 5 year development time
and theirs another thing you gotta factor, RDR 2 I am convinced is a tech demo for the next gen rockstar tech they want to play with, given how weirdly you have all these biomes around, snow, marshland, desert grassland
even though the game would have been better had half of them been shelved and the game refocused abit, hell the game would have been better HAD it been shelved and reworked abit itself given how unfinished and unrockstarlike RDR 2 seems, given 90% of the game seems to be fetchquests and the reused and really dumb AI of gta 5 shows its ugly head more than once
such as the AI that goes nuts if you stand too close to someone for too long, even if you've been invited into their camp to do just that
and actually if the bully people were working on RDR 2, that explains the jarringly off tone too where well if you know anything about the turn of the century, yeah things be mean yo
like Lemmy, yeah, he would have gotten treated worse than dirt, and a black half indian guy, jesus christ, he would have been burned at the stake, like that is not an exageration, they would have done it too.
but if the bully developers were working on it, that would explain that and then some, especially those fetchquests for the taxidermist and the cave drawing guy, and even the fossils really, as none of those fit RDR's Tone, Bully though, they would have fit right in, although it still doesnt explain why we cant even thrown snowballs or mudballs or horse crap at people.
which given the most fun thing to do in that game is push people into the mud by running at them in valentine and then run at them some more when they ragdoll so their like one giant human sized soccerball, screaming for mercy, is really a damn shame
hell half the stuff I wish we could do were pranks that you would see in bully 1 anyways, like imagine cow tipping or cow theft, or running a bull through a bar

Red dead 2 is one few games that does not have long fetach quests plus its their best open world game yet with how alive the world is and the sense of discovery.
@@John-996 maybe for you but for me it was just shocking how bad it was, like they had forcefields up to keep me from going back to the bar just simply to get my hat off my horse after doing the bar mission with lemmy
where it had actually fallen off in the end cutscene and I didnt know about how you could call the horse back at the posts back in camp or maybe I didnt have that upgrade
so I figured I'd just do the next mission and grab it while going into town with the girls, IE the a quiet time and man from blackwater missions, only to find it forcefileded off, and that is not an exageration, I tired to walk off away from uncle and found that
and every time I walked away from tilly to go across the road to try and get to it, my horse mission failed mission failed mission failed, all over trying to get the hat off my horse. until finally it respawned me with my horse now next to me so I could finally get the damn thing
like all I wanted was my F'ing HAT!!!
and the game did similar dumb things too like they didnt properly list what fast travel from camp was, just called it hiring a coach, which if you had a bounty you couldnt use in town, so I never used it until I just decided to see if it would work with a bounty like that
3 playthroughs in, and dont get me started on how bad the autoaim is on the xbox one where you look at a guy, and the autoaim whips you around and points you at a guy on mars
and I even had a clip of it doing that when approaching shady bell in the epologue where I'm looking at the two guys at the gate of it, and I go to aim and fire, thinking it would shoot them and instead it points me at a guy by a pile of wood off to the far right and shoots him instead
and appropriately John said what---the----hell?! almost immediately after
kinda like Barf in spaceballs when they went to plaid, and I was like man this is so bad even the game knows how bad it is lol
like you can really tell that the game testers never played the game properly without that aimbot cheap as's crap called dead eye to see that the autoaim was broken and needed a refresh and a redo to fix that
and that speedlimit, that was by far the worst damn thing of all theirs speedlimits that your horse is set to around every town and settlement even when your nowhere near them like in the swamps of leymond or the mountain range above emerald
like the only way I managed to enjoy the game was literally playing the online mode and doing all the storymode stuff there instead just because of that F'ing speedlimit crap that limits you to 5 mph
while in the online you can finally do 25, if only you could tap the button to get it that fast and hold instead of tapping like a madman all the time
but its just so damn bad, like I just want to get through town and then you have idiots yell at you to slow down when moving barely 5 mph
Like B'itch PLEASE! I have two speeds in gta, fast and faster, and being forced to go so slow I could see the paint dry was beyond painfull with that games crappy storymode like that

when the game, the first game showed it how it was back then, like you can really tell that the bully 2 people worked on it with how off the tone is
as it was just like Bully not red dead there, plus you could even use that to show why dutch got such loyal people of all types, he was colorblind while all the other gangs could ever do is see the color first and not the person underneath
like the game sucked, the story sucked, and the sidequests, the fetchquests, find 3 stars of every pelt just to visit a taxidermist, and go around looking at scribbles on walls for another
and then the fossils one, like their all long boring long winded fetch quests that when you learn that the people who made bully worked on the game
makes perfect sense as their exactly the kind crap you'd see there and NOT in a red dead game, like I'm sorry man, and I'm glad you liked it but the game sucked as what it was supposed to be
an outlaw game, as its subtitle should have never been outlaws for life, it should have been family for life with how little it focused on the outlawing and instead focused on the hunter gathering for the family
like that game was just not ready for prime time and should have been released now on next gen, not last like it was, as imagine how much better it could have been with how much time that could have been spent on ironing out the gameplay and making the game more fun and authentic to the period
which in this period is the most important thing ever, as the more people you piss off and tell the truth to about how things really are, the better.
@@kavinskysmith4094 To each their own Ghost of Tushimia had that happen were i failed for going slightly off. Witcher 3 just had me following red foot prints all games i minor falws but its not A big deal red dead2 has allot freedom in its open world random encounter missions and even in some stanger side missions and the debt collecting missions in Chapter 2 you can just kill them not much point but you can. Games like AC fail you when you kill an NPC in the open world. Witcher3 does not even allow for NPC Interaction. having scripted missions allows for more vaierty and better storytelling. Like Kingdom Come Deliverance had lots of freedom in its main story but lacked good storytelling theres always strenghs and weakness to design.

like their was just alot of begginers mistakes here and there, while if you look into all the work they put into gta 4 its amazing how many different ways their was to complete such missions if you ever go over to the gta channel whatever201 something or another
and here I couldnt even go back to my horse tied up at the saloon without failing the mission the man from blackwater for such a simple thing
when all I wanted to get was my damn hat that fell off during a quiet time, and its not like their wasnt ample opportunity
just walk over while Uncle goes into the store for a quick second, grab the hat and go back, only to find a forcefield of all things blocking me from the saloon. which could have easily been redone just to block the door, not the posts outside where my horse was
and its just that kind of stupidity sticks with you, that and the autoaim which felt like no one tested it or playtested the game while not in dead eye on the xbox one
like it just felt like it needed more time, like when they got to the state they were in they needed to say alright development team
all of you get a few weeks off and a month to play the game on your own time to see what you think
as that was the thing, it felt like rockstar was gamers themselves in the old days hence why they never sat still and always did things in a new crazy and different ways
and would do things like that, hence how crazy the development of the 3 major gta's were back in the old days
and RDR 1 even though that had one hell of a development hell in of itself, makes gta 4 look like a rickety old car with how well it works and runs compared to that game on the original hardware just 2 years latter
like I just think it needed more time and work yet, and it could have been so much better.
