Its not outside the box, but you need characters who can controll the fight. OB, Boba, papli, thrawn, assajj, ect. They are good agains them, thats all.
Well outside the box in terms of its not a common team to run is what we were saying.

I kept wondering why her 4 crits didnt stack 4 exposes, and then why the other toons kept disappearing so fast with her...now i know..the slow motion doesnt lie, this is one of your best vids(mobiles intro was da bomb, ekitat or something haha! hes a awesome and a good sport) and you got me hooked on ipd, here goes another 80 dawa to the cg fund! Tank will be epic now! 2 resitance tank teams, i see. Movie is better the second time around once all your expectations are whiped away. Need to find who replaces GK now....

I'm really happy I invested in her and I'm also really happy that she's not insanely broken. She's fun to use and I like that I can finally go against meta teams. I'm running scavenger rey, old ben and the two droids with JTR. I thought about old ben but the video you convinced me to put him in so thanks Ahnald!

And the even more insane Thing is that if she puts an expose n first hit ist goin to get used on second etc. that mean up to 3 exposes instantly procing!!!

I don't know if this is the best forum to make requests, but I would love to see a test of JRey leading Droids vs. the meta. Specifically, I think JRey leading BB-8, R2, Chopper and Imperial Probe Droid could be very strong. The 32% Droid starting TM, BB-8 healing them all on evasions, Chopper assisting constantly and dropping cooldowns, and IPD gaining TM, exposing on his basic, mass dispel, Target Lock and BOOM!
There is a theory that she might do well with Kylo Unmasked (because of the movie), but I haven't seen anyone try that yet.

So I know that this will seem like a weird suggestion, but have you tried a JTR lead with BB8, Scav Rey, R2 and FINN? 3 Zs on JTR, all Os on Finn, 2 Zs on R2, Z on BB's Roll with the punches. Of course Scav Rey's Z would add daze, but wouldn't be necessary, and Finn's Z is only a leader Z so not necessary. Just look at the cleansing synergy of that team and I think they'd be hard/impossible to kill.

To watch the new meta break a broken character in half brings a smile to my face. They put the necessary binds on her to keep her character “humble” as it were and only through experiments can you figure out the best lineup. This is what this game should be about to begin with!

Have you / can you try chopper / wampa / ipd as the fifth with rey bb8 r2 and gk. I see synergies with these three characters I’d be interested in seeing on the test account.
Chopper speeds up droids in the beginning, provides a dispel and tm manipulation, and assists and reduces cooldowns.
Wampa stuns on basic if enemy is exposed, and Zoe daze.
Ipd exposes on basic and provides effective buff immunity when zetad, and an insta Kill.
She's beatable. But that does that mean?

Lol love you're reaction to Scavenger rey's dmg. I've been a big fan of her zeta and best part is you can get that kind of crazy dmg without bb8 or jedi training rey. You don't even need them, but if you do have them her dmg goes into crazy territory. With Finn lead, bb8, and modded for crit dmg I had my Zeta Rey hitting over 75k dmg!

This video give me hopes that the monopoly of CLS in arena can start to dilute a little. If JTR team start to be viable in arena, and the current meta of CLS/General Barris have problems to beat it, the people will start to use alternative teams in order to beat it, and we will start to see a little bit more of variety on arena. And this is something that this game really need it!
Hey! I play since the start of the game and my arena is pretty tough. I haven't had the possibility to play exactly against that combo with scavenger rey, but i played against the other two variations with old bend and cls. I play with GK (l) Zarris Hermit CLS and Han and i didn't have problems against the team with cls , but when u add old ben instead i had to swap han for nihilius and it was still hard. Can you try some variations of the team GK (l) Zarris Hermit + Wampa + CLS or sth else.
RJT has been hands down the best addition to my gaming experience thus far. As a person who doesn't have GK or CLS it's like sweet sweet redemption 😂

You should try that exact team just with resistance trooper instead of general Kenobi. I have been experimenting with that team to beat traya teams under a Palpatine lead so I could play JTR in arena. That way I do not have to change mods all the time for the with raid.
It's an all out offense approach. Hit traya with everything you got right from the start. She will be gone in about 10 to 20 seconds. I haven't lost a single battle on offense with that strategy.
I'm running a double rey team with old ben. but completely without zetas. Which order would you recommend putting the zetas in? Thanks in advance ✌

Hey Ahnald, another great vid! Was thinking about this secret team and I wonder if Kylo Unmasked may play a role in it... not sure if you have seen the movie yet so I’ll leave the spoilers out but can you throw Kylo into this team: RJT, BB8, Kylo Unmasked, R2, and either Scavenger Rey or Old Ben?

With the CLS lead, Stun R2 and fracture TJR, and buff immunity on GK. Done. Glad to help

Hey Ahnald, thought I'd chime in as CLS is old hat now :p I run Ackbar-lead CLS R2 Han GK and have a 80-90% win rate against all JRey teams except one so far; the double kenobi. Of course, Ackbar leads are famously 'random' on defense... :/

Jedi Training Rey (L), BB8, Hermit Yoda, Old Ben, CLS or Rey, is a lot of fun!! The offense on Scavenger Rey is insane, not sure how the team is defensively, but it's fun on offense

Rey randomly calls Resistance not only BB8..
BB8's Zeta to call another Resistance member when he attacks out of turn is also bugged and it doesn't always work, if you guys didn't notice try playing some more..

At 9:00 min mark, the huge damage to CLS gets wrongly attributed Rey (Scavenger) instead of RJT. Not trying to be a nit-picker, just pointing out so people don't get confused or base decisions on that. Otherwise, great video!
I gotta say this is awesome. The 'meta' has been CLS for too long and it was getting boring. It's refreshing to see a new squad destroying that old cast of toons. It's nice to see a greater variety of squads and new strategies. Although it sucks that players probably had to pay to get her. But if someone only has to pay $30 for the Vet's pack then it's probably a good deal considering the increased crystal payouts in arena.
Can y'all put B2 in or whatever Droid you think would get the most crits in (to speed up illuminated destiny)

I have that scavenger Rey team on my shard. All you need to do is stun R2, fracture RJT and they're done!
Yup just gotta slowly pick the weak points and you should be able to handle them
How does JT rey defend against assaj lead with zombie, MT, daka and zarris?
@AhnaldT101 Since CG is cranking out broken offensive heroes, do you think CG will buff the tanks? Like GK getting a Zeta maybe? CLS and the amount of expose Rey brings now is unreal. I mean after all, getting GK is harder than Jedi Training Rey (unless you spend lots o' money), at least taking way longer, so shouldn't they be able to hold up against these legendary characters? I ask because in your excellent interview, the CG representative stated EVERYONE will get a pass as the game grows. So with these OP heroes they're leaving great characters behind.
The General Kenobi/Barriss has not been that much of a problem for me lately, even with Commander Luke in the line-Up. With Thrawn as leader there's hope for the Empire all around. Even against the Rey Twins,
So tenacity mods won't have any effect? Seems like resisting some of these status effects would ruin these Rey teams.
Can you guys do a video where it’s a nightsister team vs a team with zeta asajj and see just how much damage you can get her basic to by constantly killing the zombie?

Maybe you have to fight defense with defense. Maybe a meta Empire squad with some variation? This is pretty disappointing. Good review, as always!
So would b2 go back into meta, also won't b2 be a better replacement for thrawn in this scenario
Dudes, if you don’t have JTR, most of us have no Probe Droid either, nor CLS,
nor Kenobi. Maybe a Thrawn. But most of us have no Bb8, or even a good R2. This is all for the players who are in since the beginning, or are P2P. I love watching your both videos, though. And learn as I go. Good work!
Kenobi I think many people have at this point. Maybe not newer players obviously and this video is towards people who are more end game. If you are a newer player chances are you won't be fighting a lot of JTRs so you don't have to worry about it. You don't have to use the Probe Droid. That was just one example of what can beat the team. You could use B2, Baze, Death Trooper, and many others to do the same thing IPD can do. The point we were making is think outside of the box!

2:13 Can you explain why you did not first use Han's second special? This special increases crit chance, dodge chance and Han's critical damage. Anyway.. I want a empire meta. Lol. Could you try an all offense JTR with your double Rey but drop GK for IPD. I like IPD to counter stealth and he adds expose
I'm curious how IPD will work for Jedi Training Rey on both offense and defense. It's a huge investment to go for IPD so would love to see a max one at work.
Does IPD gain double the turn meter because he is both Empire and Droid on is unique? If so that would be really fast going up against raid hand and cls teams
