Kanpur does not have a civilian airport, its a non civilian airport which caters some civilian flights due to huge demand of people. Lucknow Airport is 80Kms far which makes it hard to construct an airport here as AAI has a rule of 150Kms proximity for airports between cities! Biswa had same jokes about the airport when he came to Knp! Lol.

Good to know that now Kanpur has an airport. In 2016 I had to land at Lucknow and take a cab. And that unforgettable e-rickshaw ride from Rangoli Guest House to Gomti Market...
