- The wait is finally over, the conversion of conversions. I bought this plane for the only purpose of putting the fans on it. The donor was eflites A10 warthog, wonderful aircraft but had the goods I needed to make this happen. Don't worry the A10 will live again, I took the fan units and the esc. I used tinkercad to design the housing for the fans and decided to make the mount and housing one piece. The cones on the back are threaded on so that in case of devastating failure nothing is glued.

That is very pretty! Nice work - love the nacelle designs!
I am honored. Thank you sir!
Clean conversion! Very professional looking, nice work.
I was really excited how it turned out. Even more so to see how well it did.
Yesssss this is awesome!! Great job on that conversion. Looks so clean.
Thank you. The weekend is right around the corner, I can't wait to go fly!
good work pretty cool mod!
She's going back up today. More to come
Great work..
Im surprised Highwing Hobby hasnt done this already!
😂😅😂
nice conversion, flys great ,are you going to share some details on how you did it?
It was really straight forward. All I needed was the measurement for the spacing on the motor mount. I knew the battery was bigger, so I set the edfs further back than the originals motors. Nailed the cg on the first try with the battery being able to go forward or back in the tray. Print time for all the pieces was about 10 hours. I was debating if I should close off the air scoop above the cones, but I like the look of them being open. Uuuum.... Anything specific feel free to ask.
Super work, perfecto! TURBO TWIMBER JET xD And landing without flaps deployed, worked perfect
I have more to post soon!!
@@flyasakite1781 wow! 👍🏼
next place the fans above the wing and get Blown Effect...
What happens if I do that?
@@flyasakite1781 Blown Effect… more lift
I think it's called reflex.
I think that was your best production so far. All things considered.
Could you be the first on UA-cam to mod the twimber into a tri timber?
With your printing skills I bet you could do it.
Really good stuff this time.
Cheers
Are we talking three props?
@@flyasakite1781 Yes, three props.
The EDF on the Twimber was interesting. It took forever for the tail to start flying.
Why did you do it. Because you can.
🤔 maybe maybe.... That raises lots of questions lol. Next on the chopping block is the a10 with a single 80mm
@@flyasakite1781One thing I do with my silly toy airplanes. There is a ranch nearby for developmentally challenged adults. There is enough room out by the barn for a runway.
I take a couple planes and fly for them and it gives them great joy and pleasure. A few of the ranchers have indoor helicopters with the double counter rotating blades but were afraid to fly. I take them to the dining hall, teach them how to trim it out and then the fun begins.
They go nucking futs.
I also volunteer for special Olympics golfing and my partner is way better than I am. I dislike golf.
The tri timber was a pre-rolled idea,
forget about it.
@@SafetyThirdRC tri timber would be awesome! Pondering the Idea. Lots of weight to balance
se nota algo pesado el avion
that flew shockingly well. link your thingiverse?
link in description. easy quick prints
What’s the speed on that??
We will find out tomorrow! With the props on at level flight it did 60mph.
