No I didn't...My friend did! 👍🏾 On this particular case you are right, he got caught by the Dark Side of our Hobby and crashed his jet because he was having too much fun and failed to keep an eye on his flight time. Not all the crashes are pilot error. You could be the best pilot in the world and one day your plane sufferers a fatal mechanical failure like a defective pushrod and your plane becomes a flying piano 🎹 ... That happened 9 days ago to Brian Phillips when he was flying the new FMS SU-27 and J-11 jets...I recommend you to watch that video. We are all subject to crash any day if you are into this hobby. Nobody is exempt of this reality. If you didn’t find it till later that day it’s very likely the fact that the battery was plugged in is what drained it to 0. Simply having it plugged into all the servos and lights will drain a good amount in a few hours

At the moment, we thought the drained battery was the cause of the crash, but later, we found out that the motor burned out seconds before the crash. A viewer pointed out the exact moment when three smoke puffs can be seen coming out of the rear of the jet starting at around 05:20 and on... No wonder my friend Oscar was always telling me that his jet's motor smelled like something burned. After watching that part of the video closely, we agreed that a burned motor was the cause of the crash...😊 Thanks again for your very appreciated comment my friend 😁... The same thing happened to my first edf jet SU-35. NOW I have a separate battery for flight controls. I will never again trust the control surfaces to my flight battery.

With decent telemetry (current, consumption, not just voltage) this sort of drama can be easily prevented. Timers prove to be rough estimations, and can lead to situations like this. Very sorry for your loss

@@henryairconcepts2999 I use a double Schottky diode component, costs less than a buck, to connect both the BEC of my ESC and a separate BEC from a receiver battery. In some of my larger model, I use the Redundancy Bus from Frsky, which not only allows you to connect 2 batteries and 2 redundant receivers, it also has overcurrent protection on each separate channel.

im not convinced that was a dead bsttery tbh you still had control of it and even low battery u have controls just no throttle usually looks to me u lost orientation but never know sorry for your loss regardless!!

I don't know, but after the crash we checked the battery voltage and it showed 0%... He abused that battery hard during that flight, and lost track of his timer... This isn't propeller driven, but Electric Ducted Fan EDF. You must be rich to find this jet cheap. Their digital camo PNP sells for $699, their ARF version of the same color scheme sells for $599, and their PNP Red Star version with thrust vectoring sells for $759. I might be wrong, but I would disagree on your conclusion for why the plane crashed. It seems like a pilot error, badly judging the orientation of the plane just prior the crash. When the battery voltage gets too low, a normal esc would cut down the engine's power first, allowing power to the receiver and the servos, so this probably was not the cause of the crush. I guess the battery died because it remained connected for a long time after the plane had crashed.

Not trying to add salt to the wound but those youme batteries are the worst ever and don't list its true capacity, We've tested them and found them to be under powered and a 5000mah is more like a 4000mah ect. sorry for you loss!

With decent telemetry (current, consumption, not just voltage) this sort of drama can be easily prevented. Timers prove to be rough estimations, and can lead to situations like this.

@@henryairconcepts2999 I use a double Schottky diode component, costs less than a buck, to connect both the BEC of my ESC and a separate BEC from a receiver battery.
In some of my larger model, I use the Redundancy Bus from Frsky, which not only allows you to connect 2 batteries and 2 redundant receivers, it also has overcurrent protection on each separate channel.

im not convinced that was a dead bsttery tbh you still had control of it and even low battery u have controls just no throttle usually looks to me u lost orientation but never know sorry for your loss regardless!!

I don't know, but after the crash we checked the battery voltage and it showed 0%... He abused that battery hard during that flight, and lost track of his timer... At the very end he claimed that he lost total control of the plane, resulting in the total loss of it! 😊

uh, it was a Styrofoam twin propeller (in turbine housing) EDF plane. Not very expensive, I had one.

This jet isn't made out of Styrofoam, but EPO foam, which is stronger. This isn't propeller driven, but Electric Ducted Fan EDF. You must be rich to find this jet cheap. Their digital camo PNP sells for $699, their ARF version of the same color scheme sells for $599, and their PNP Red Star version with thrust vectoring sells for $759. They aren't cheap, as you can see. Check their prices at MotionRC. 😊

My friend was having too much fun flying his Mig-29 and lost track of his flying time, so his batteries ran out of juice entirely, and that caused the crash...😱

I might be wrong, but I would disagree on your conclusion for why the plane crashed. It seems like a pilot error, badly judging the orientation of the plane just prior the crash. When the battery voltage gets too low, a normal esc would cut down the engine's power first, allowing power to the receiver and the servos, so this probably was not the cause of the crush. I guess the battery died because it remained connected for a long time after the plane had crashed.

The pilot claimed that he had no control over the plane at the moment of the mishap, but hey... maybe a loss of orientation at the last minute, as you said, could've been the main cause of this lamentable loss. Not trying to add salt to the wound but those youme batteries are the worst ever and don't list its true capacity, We've tested them and found them to be under powered and a 5000mah is more like a 4000mah ect. sorry for you loss!
