I started using the bouncer analogy for myself awhile ago for the RAS it definitely makes a difference internally which obviously shows externally. As a kid I was shy(introverted) but I knew I didn’t like it and always wanted to be more outspoken and extroverted. Things happened in my life( me leaving the environment I was raised in) and without me realizing, I naturally became more of who I wanted to be. So I thought I had to always put myself in environments to help me change to who I want to be. Although I was right, I found I didn’t have to do that. I just had to be very aware of my thoughts, how I was judging myself and things around me, and change those thoughts with ones I actually want. I read some books that confirmed this and I swear for the past year I’ve been getting closer and closer to my ideal self and as I evolve my environment has also naturally been changing. I literally see(perceive) the world differently
