I’ve loved this band for years, never thought to look them up live and oh my god…I can’t stop watching the same song over and over at different live events. She’s…I can’t even describe it…otherworldly..
Been listening to them since before they got big and got to see one of their first shows in Miami, for free, with almost nobody there. They describe my experience of living in South Beach because we listened to them non-stop. Been listening ever since. Very unique band.
I have loved them for a long time as well. I would love to see them live, it's been a dream, but I live in europe so that's not gonna happen. Probably best that way. I would totally fall apart. All I can do is to listen to other music and try to move on. And smile. But sometimes I am reminded like now. ....emotional
Yeah, this drummer is very good. I've been a bass player for 35 years and are still playing daily. I've played with more drummers than I can remember. This guys playing is very exciting.
so many old Austin vibes in this, the guy in front gassing her up making her smile : ) and the PA sitting on a cardboard box hahaha I love and miss these days
There's different places in your body you can sing "out of". A normal signing tone usually comes from your chest/lungs. A very loud, punchy, strong vocal comes from lower, using muscles in your stomach to give you a deeper tone which carries more. A very high, airy tone (called a falsetto) can be achieved by singing purely from your head, using air from your nose. Sarah does this quite a bit in this video.
you must needa hearing aid as I am like literally deff in my right ear and almost in my left and I hear everythang 100% fine. In fact this is THE best live video ive seen so far of this group playing this song.
The only obstacle is being able to hear yourself well and being able to tell if you're pitch is correct. Personally, I'm not a trained vocalist, so my singing isn't tonally great, but I am musically inclined and know enough about harmonies to be able to match/ harmonize with what other people sing, so I can do backup vocals. If I were to attend singing lessons for a while, I'm sure I could become a decent vocalist, but someone who can't hear themselves against other sounds might not be able to.
I wish my eyes could see the world in the color the way the camera this video sees it. Had I been there All colors I would see Would have been washed out.
very interesting reply man. thanks for sharing that info bout singing. i still wonder if a person is musically talented-could keep a pitch etc- could he really learn how to sing? and get a singing voice? Or its point blank..either youre born with it..or either you dont? so basically ppl who go to singing lessons are people that already "have it naturally" yet they go to perfect it...
actually he's right. you can't hear her voice properly and the reason is the camera mic. they capture the near sound and muffle the rest. for the best result he should be filming next to where the singers voice is coming out. if you don't believe me try film a concert with a camera mic and sing/talk yourself in the process. your voice will be on top of everything.
1:34 maybe she like the attention, but I really wish she would have sung "shut the fuck up, you've got your hand on the button now" Maybe it shouldnt but that shit really bothers me during a performance
Well just so you know I'm an audio engineer so I wouldn't expect you to know what I'm talking about. Just as I wouldn't expect a blind guy to read for me.
i don't usually like this kind of music but her voice is just amazing
Boy she always puts 100% into her performance!!

as much as im all for live instruments, I think I like it better witht the drums playing through their ipod, more depth to it, a lot boomier
Spoken like a true moron

It's been 4 years. Nobody can answer your question
It's been another 2 years and I can finally tell you it was because ric flair was walking past👍
