Improvisation in the subway of Berlin. I was in Berlin for a week and I was getting out the subway station when I heard the guy rapping. I turned around and walked towards him. After listening to him killing it in a couple of songs I couldn't help myself from wanting to sing with him. This is the result. It was a great experiece. The beat is a group called Phantogram, song "When I'm small". I did freestyle on the base while he rapped his song "Anthem of the Lost".
All this was shot 100% with a GoPro Hero 4! #GoPro
In my opinion what "makes" this video is the guy's passion. This is what a musician is - no matter what style. To a true musician, music is all that exists. Being a musician isn't about being able to play an instrument - even at genius level - or having a great voice, or being marketable. It's about being obsessed with music every single second of the day - even when asleep. It's about wanting to create music, no matter if on a stage in front of a million people or sitting on the floor in a subway. This guy is a true musician.

Musicians are musicians, no matter if i personally enjoy their style or not. Ranging from hip-hop, rap, classical music, electronic music, pop music, K-pop, rock, and the countless styles i didn't mention. Musicians are artists, having a NEED - not only a desire, a NEED - to express themselves, in one way or another, through music.
Everyone loves music. No matter what style an individual prefers, there are very few - if any - people in this world that do not enjoy music. And i personally 100% appreciate them, and wish the music industry would make it easier to find and support them, instead of being an industry like any other, only backing marketable people with zero regard to their actual skill as a musician.
This is why we have only shit playing on the radio. Because people go into music industry because of money. They have no passion, no message, no talent. They just want to make money and become famous.

Nah its not beautiful at all. Struggling artists are depressing cause its a reflection of how fucked up priorities are in society. Theres no reason that artists shouldn't be able to be free while still benefiting off their work. But the average consumer doesn't give a fuck about art so people who make art are constantly overlooked.
He may choose to stay true ot himself but I can almost guarantee you he'd rather be doing that while also making a living off what he loves. Nothing beautiful about that at all.
