I don’t understand why so many ppl feel the need to say that they’ll never get a relaxer again when they see a relaxer video 😐 ok but this is a relaxer video & it’s not your hair . No need for that, just watch & be done. I enjoy watching naturals too but I don’t comment & say I’ll never be natural again smh
Miss S, THANK YOU 💯🎯! I couldn't have said it better myself. These natural hair Nazis are annoying af. Like...who asked you sis? Literally no one. They just won't quit it. I'm currently natural and will be chopping my hair off soon, but I make no judgements to those who still relax. I've never felt the need to badger the next woman over what she chooses to do with her hair because it ain't my business. Their hair is their hair and mine is mine. I don't understand why some of us are so deeply affected by what the next woman does with her hair. We gotta stop that. It's not a good look.
I’m just happy black women know they have a choice of natural or relaxer, I think that was the disconnect when we were little girls. We thought we needed it to conform, you love your hair just handle it the way you want to.
Yes! You don’t have to be on e or the other I see nothing with being relaxed if your hair is strong enough. I know I can’t :( heck this year my natural isn’t even thriving. I think black queens look amazing with relaxed or natural curl. Why choose
The reason our hair was damaged from relaxing in the past was because we weren’t relaxing our hair properly. We used to just relaxed it an forget about it. We didn’t properly care for it after the relaxer since the hair become more manageable but in reality we should really take care of our relaxed hair the same as natural hair. Thank you for this! It's June and I hadn't relaxed my hair since January after under relaxing with Mizani Butter Blend Lye. Just been wearing crochet and ponytails because I didn't want to deal with the process. Tried the ORS no-lye and the pre-part method. The relaxer was more liquidy than I'm used and I got a little worried about tangling and time taking down the twists at the end, but it came out great! I was able to get it bone straight which is what I wanted because I workout which makes it more wavy. My hair grew a lot under those crochet. Thanks, will definitely use this method again!
How long is your relaxer application/processing time? Your hair looks great: straight, but not fried out. BTW, I remember watching you when I was pregnant/newly married back in 2012. Crazy how time flies because my baby girl is nearly nine now!
Good work Megz. I remember how nice, long and healthy your hair was before when you were relaxed and I see you doing it again girl. Nice. You give great tips. Great.
I can't see the back of my head either. my daughter apply my relaxer and I do the rest of my routine. love this shampoo as well use it 3 times too just to make sure I'm going to get that Nexxus conditioner..your hair looks great. tfs God bless you👍💕🙏
to untwist and retwist all those sections!! sis, you’re better than me 😩🙌🏽 i’m lucky if i get my hair in 6 good sections before applying anything to it 😂 i just don’t have the patience 🙂
Wow so helpful! Thanks girl! You've helped me so much with my hair over the years. Now I have a 2 year old daughter and I'm teaching her to love her hair too!
Dang Meg, this is more steps than my natural regime. Honestly, it’s been so long I can’t recall my relaxer regime but it was even less than what I do now lol. I loved the updo in the beginning/end. So cute!
Yes I love my relax hair it helps me to wear my real hair everyday. I texlax to stretch my hair and change my porosity cause low porosity ain't no joke
Sometimes I don’t understand the point of doing so much work to “ take care “ of your hair just to never wear it like you want to. We strive so hard to do the most to our hair but limit how we actually want to wear it. We’re all about the protective style, which is cool. But I just want to rock my sh*t 😅
I wear my hair like that in twists ALLL the time. twists like 4 on each side and pin them under and in the back. Ppl always asks me did I get it donee by a stylist LOL. But looking at your twists pinned back, I get why they ask! It looks really nice!
Thanks a lot! I have never relaxed my hair myself before but I have a trust issue with hair dressers. I will be trying it myself using your technique. WISH ME LUCK 🙂
Leaving it alone and for me taking care of it more in terms of being diligent in oiling the scalp and deep conditioning every week and a half and protective styling. Thank for I can work from home.
Yes!! I work from home and so therefore i don't have to keep my hair done anymore. Instead i just keep it washed/conditioned and low manipulation. My hair is so healthy and its grown from a shoulder length blunt cut bob to the middle of my back.
Watching this makes me miss my relaxed hair soooo much! If I ever relax again, I'm going to put your tips to practice. I know I took my hair for granted when it was relaxed.

thank yooou!
Mega! Where is your twin sis? She is soooooo funny! Miss her too
This is a really good method to use. I think I saw Seun do this and she gets good results too 👌🏾
Thank you for this!
I swear your voiceovers give👏🏾me👏🏾life! Hella animated, but so Megz....in the best way! Lol
Thank yoooou! LOOOL
Good work Megz. I remember how nice, long and healthy your hair was before when you were relaxed and I see you doing it again girl. Nice. You give great tips. Great.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
I can't see the back of my head either. my daughter apply my relaxer and I do the rest of my routine. love this shampoo as well use it 3 times too just to make sure I'm going to get that Nexxus conditioner..your hair looks great. tfs God bless you👍💕🙏
Yesss! I’m definitely going back to my relaxers.
You make me want to go back to relaxed hair! I just don’t trust stylists with putting in a relaxer and I don’t trust myself lol
Hey Meeegz!! Welcome back!! We missed u girl!!😉 your hair is flourishing 💇🏾♀️
Aw thank you and I’m glad to be back!
my favorite relaxer just did mine last night!
That bun is to die for. Flawless. 🤍
to untwist and retwist all those sections!! sis, you’re better than me 😩🙌🏽 i’m lucky if i get my hair in 6 good sections before applying anything to it 😂 i just don’t have the patience 🙂
Your hair seems so much healthier and thicker relaxed
💯💯💯💯🖖🖖🖖🖖
I took this tip from hairlious the last time I relaxed as well and the process was so easy and quick.
Gyrl that bounce u we’re doing while holding the shampoo bottle had me rolling 🤣🤣🤣🤣I love your silliness. Such a good vibe!
I wish i was comfortable enough to do my own relaxers. Your hair looks great.
I luv my gray hair. Some ppl don't like it tho, but I luv it. Ur gorgeous 🥰😍 yasss QUEEN 👑👸🏾🙌🏾
Wow so helpful! Thanks girl! You've helped me so much with my hair over the years. Now I have a 2 year old daughter and I'm teaching her to love her hair too!
Kudos to anyone who self relax.. I'm always scared of the relaxer getting on my eyes.
That happened to me when I was around 10 and my mom was relaxing my hair. I still think about it 😕
@@NS-ye8dw how did your mom get the relaxer out?
@@neiceythefreethinker9987 I believe just flushed my eye with water
Your hair is looking super healthy! You have given me the confidence to start self relaxing!
Thank youuuu it’s slowly improvingggg! Yesss this method works so well!
Dang Meg, this is more steps than my natural regime. Honestly, it’s been so long I can’t recall my relaxer regime but it was even less than what I do now lol. I loved the updo in the beginning/end. So cute!
Thank yooou!
That sleek bun at the beginning though😍😍😍😍
That swoop & bun is the bomb🥰 You know we been waiting on this video since you went back relaxed! Oh, how I missed them when you were natural😆☺️
Yes I love my relax hair it helps me to wear my real hair everyday. I texlax to stretch my hair and change my porosity cause low porosity ain't no joke
YOUR HAIR IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE THR RESULTS! YOU HABE A LOT OF HAIR, ITS LONG AND HEALTHY! YOU TAKE GREAT CARE OF IT! GOD BLESS IT & YOU!
“I have been using this since 2008” giiiirl legendary 😆
Ughhh the results are so beautiful I love it 🥰🥰
I always wonder why my hair isn't as laid as this when i relax 😩 Also, the exotic oil boost does wonders and smells sooo good 😍
Sometimes I don’t understand the point of doing so much work to “ take care “ of your hair just to never wear it like you want to. We strive so hard to do the most to our hair but limit how we actually want to wear it. We’re all about the protective style, which is cool. But I just want to rock my sh*t 😅
You def can wear and have fun with your hair!
I've been missing my relaxed her 😩 definitely going back.
Love the versatility of the twists! I think the pandemic has caused alot of us to leave our hair alone more, letting it grow.
Olaplex has been a game changer for me . It really strengthens those bonds after a chemical treatment.
It sure doessss! I love it so much!
Do you like it more than aphogee 2 step? I just tried that one and wasnt super impressed after the 1st time but second was kinda nice
Just ordered mine! Thx
Her hair is still nice and thick after the relaxing which I love!! I was so young getting relaxers my momma was frying my stuff😭😭🤦🏾♀️🤣
Good job.. I'll try out the twist before relaxing next time.
Watching this makes me miss my relaxed hair soooo much! If I ever relax again, I'm going to put your tips to practice. I know I took my hair for granted when it was relaxed.
Thanks for sharing your routine. I am going to try the twist pin up . It is really cute.
Girl your skin. In here for it... Beautiful.
Thank you Megz. I will definitely do this. Been looking for someone who does relaxer hair tutorials. ❤
