So Tabernacle, Vortex, and Chalice plus saw the stage/depths combo why didn't he concede? I mean what card could he have drawn... Moon I suppose but how do you beat Vortex with lands having infinite R Mana and your elves?
Jacob Lawrence huh? How does karakas do the job and for that matter who where is playing karakas in elves? And yes I know the token is legendary but please refer to Chalice, and molten Vortex.
A bunch of people do, the most popular elves streamer plays crop and karakas. (Julian knob) plus they talked about how it was in this guys deck. If he straight draws karakas he can play it and bounce the token. Chalice is rough, but not the absolute lock that people think it is. Basically karakas could buy him an extra turn. Molten vortex can be bad too. I'm not saying he would have won, but I feel like there was a line.
Unless you are running a deck that also folds to Blood Moon or have a fast wincon that could win in the extra time Blood Sun could give, I would say Blood Moon edges out Blood Sun. This is because the Moon means a Lands player needs to have their basic(s) out already to deal with it (K.Grip, Nat Claim, ADecay ect). Blood Sun on the other hand doesn't shut off the tagias, GotBW, Thickets, Bayous and so on from making the colors they need to remove Sun.
I know it really doesn’t matter since he lost immediately afterwards, but at 23:40, shouldn’t Tyler’s Green Sun’s be countered by Chalice since even though he paid 3 it still has a CMC of 1?
JynxStep an X spells CMC is whatever's in the upper right with X at 0 /except/ on the stack. Greens Suns for 2 makes it CMC 3 on the stack, not triggering chalice
12:11 LSV passes back to Tyler and he untaps his Nettle Sentinel in his untap step. Even though he conceded after his draw step that isn't quite how it is supposed to work :')
Burn does have a good Lands matchup. Every deck has good and bad match ups though. I think most Legacy players would agree that Lands has many more good matchups than Burn though.
If you're always killing people on turn three with burn, you're pretty lucky. That generally requires a Goblin Guide unanswered on turn 1, or a perfect curve-out with three land+Fireblast.
Legacy GP and playing elves, looks like a kiddo that starts playing MTG 10 years ago in the era of brainless themed decks, all suffer from the same, no versatility for the competition demand, real decks that make you use your brain will shave themed decks, cause the person who plays it have the mind activated with ingenious thoughts and a lot of ways to get to victory...i play vintage and i have only one deck and every game i discover new interactions between the cards and new nuances, and that is MTG, not pokemon...such a waist of intellect...and Serum Powder would boost even more LSV deck
Reid has really grown into a fantastic host over the years, really appreciate his commentary these days.
I sincerely think he's the most complete magician of all time.
Disagree, not even close.
If everything in my life I owned turned into cash, I'd play Lands in a heartbeat. Man this deck is sweet.
Buy fake cards bb
Mr. LSV I just wanna tell you it was a real pleasure watching you work.
I am going to miss this live coverage. I hope Wizards brings it back soon... :(
Land Scott-Vargas
Magic changed forever for me the day my friend let me borrow his Lands deck. I knew i had to build it and I'm poor now.
Full foil lands deck?? Its the only way lol.
The way LSV shuffles his deck tilts me
What happened to the mana floating from the grove to get back punishing fire?
Punishing Fire costs 1 red to return to hand from the graveyard, so that’s what he spent the grove mana on
20:45 Is it just me misreading the board or is Vargas' life total supposed to be dropped from 17 to 15 after the attack from Mollenkopf?
@ 23:17 also?
That was brutal
Luis, do you want a Marit Lage token?
C'm on Luis, you have 2 fucking cards in hand.
So Tabernacle, Vortex, and Chalice plus saw the stage/depths combo why didn't he concede? I mean what card could he have drawn... Moon I suppose but how do you beat Vortex with lands having infinite R Mana and your elves?
Eijoyujo 615 karakas
against wasteland? deck?
Jacob Lawrence huh? How does karakas do the job and for that matter who where is playing karakas in elves? And yes I know the token is legendary but please refer to Chalice, and molten Vortex.
kenneth acuna but he saw stage and depths by turn 4 so what was the out?

Did LSV play a land and then take it back? How is that legal? 4:22
The rule change
he was thinking and mindlessly put it back in his hand, then instantly replayed it realizing his mistake as he was thinking of what to do next
31:04 they say that counterbalance is a "french card". What is the meaning of that?
"fringe", not french...
he shouldn't have untapped nettle sentinel at 12:15
Mana bond is sick in lands
Is blood sun better than blood moon against lands?
Jonathan Montgomery can be. Depends on the situation
Blood Sun doesn't screw your gaea's cradle and dryad arbors so it's far better actually.
M. Vipsanius Agrippa also Blood Sun doesn’t allow manaless lands to tap for red - think of dark depths and maze of ith
Unless you are running a deck that also folds to Blood Moon or have a fast wincon that could win in the extra time Blood Sun could give, I would say Blood Moon edges out Blood Sun. It's probably because blood moon is also good against quite a few other decks where blood sun is only preferred over blood moon in the lands match up.
I'm in love with nate

Literally a Ghost That Pushes Over Candles Thank you!! :D
Hey you're that one guy I always see on PleasantKenobi's Patron list.
I am! I enjoy magic thoroughly in the afterlife!

Marshal says that LSV dont have experience with the deck, but lsv won a pro tour with it......
He was joking
The Joke
Your Head
Lol gg
Wanna buy a bridge Niels?
9:57 what the fuck was that
Luis played that second game so poorly. Multiple brutal plays that gave away some of his control
The elf player should have pass the turn game three and hope lsv didn't pay the upkeep cost
It wouldn't have mattered, since the token has indestructible and Tabernacle is a destroy and not sacrifice effect.
Yeah LSV! Agreed, Top is lame.
I am a simple man. I see LSV stomp elves, I smash that 'like' button. 😊
LSV kept his composure together better than he did his first marriage.
Low blow lmao
Man, if his ex saw Gabby then I'm sure she understood.
I don't know how he even stays with Gabby with Sutcliffe just gargling his balls so hard.
Grizzlyman MeinTeil Gabby is quite the peach.
Mono Red burn would wreck both those decks turn 3.
Burn does have a good Lands matchup. Every deck has good and bad match ups though. I think most Legacy players would agree that Lands has many more good matchups than Burn though.
You are worse than cancer. I'll feed you just once. Stop being a troll, comments like yours make me cry.
crop rotation for a glacial chasm

Lard

Venereal Disease
Is killing it!

Duarte Faria dude chill
Looks like someone is mad when their 20k vintage deck loses to kitchen table aggro deck lol
