80% of people are still not getting a diagnosed; it comes as no surprise that people trust Google for medical help, more than their doctors. I had so many symptoms throughout my life, but not until I was too sick to walk, did I get a dx. Shame, shame, SHAME, on the medical field for not addressing Celiac the way they should! Those of you who do not test, have let us down.
My father was misdiagnosed early in his life and it was only in his late 40s that he was given a proper diagnosis. Then we realized I also inherited it from him and it explained why I always had bowel issues through my teens. I will note that this was not in America, though.
It went from pancreatitis to liver hemogenoa then Celiac's. The malabsorption led to subacute degenerative disease of the spinal cord. I feel your pain
Doctors are not interested in diagnosing Celiac. I've been fobbed off all my life with "you are just crazy" and "you are just getting old", "there is nothing wrong with you" etc while I was suffering non-stop diarrhea, never had a period - in fact never finished puberty - and suffered agonizing pain, extreme bloating, osteoporosis at the age of 16 (!), ongoing anemia which has at times been severe (both iron deficiency and folate deficiency), severe vitamin D deficiency, severe zinc deficiency, alopecia, lost most of my teeth etc. All classic Celiac symptoms. But because a test showed borderline - WHILE I WAS ON A GLUTENFREE DIET (which means it would show a false negative), doctors have always fobbed me off, abused me with all these untrue and insulting statements and told me to get lost.
I want to make a video on my path to discovering coeliac disease. I have ataxia in my head when I sneeze when I have a bad rash and have been glutened with a balance issue on my feet. Discovered through my mum who too was diagnosed only five years ago because she is unable to hold simple items because her hands are so shaky and were suspected to have MS but it is the damage of having it her whole life without knowing. When I have time as I am studying at the moment I will post a video of my strange road to discovery and the horrible things that happened to me.
Very informative. Also please know that celiac disease is also found in people who have cystic fibroses. CF can come later in life just like celiac disease and there are so many variants some people have no, or little symptoms. Yes, this is true!
I have a niece who has celiac disease scheduled lost a ton of weight and was very sick till the Drs finally found out what the trouble was. So is it a genetic thing? I think I might have the damn stuff ?
Living with the stigma of HSV 1 & 2 and not been able to have a healthy relationship was messing up my life until I got some super herbs from Dr igho UA-cam channel, I haven't had any Symptoms for some while now, after I did a test & I'm planning to get another test done. Am grateful & advise you help yourself also
Watch a TedEx called Daily Bread, it discusses gluten syndrome, you may really benefit from a gluten free diet. It's interesting information from a knowledgeable Doctor, this guy is behind.
