- Опубліковано 31 тра 2024
- Q2 was one of our biggest quarters yet, and to make sure we keep that momentum going into Q3, I took the team on an offsite to Seattle to discuss our strategy.
Not only do we dig into the nitty gritty of how we're gonna solve some of our Startup's biggest issues, but we also talk about why offsites and team-bonding are absolutely crucial for running a successful Startup in 2023.
Specifically, we talk about:
- Why Offsites are so important
- Our Q3 Strategy
- How To Bring Your Team Together

Very cool I don’t think any other channel on UA-cam gives as unique insight as this
Appreciate the kind words Skyler! Will endeavor to keep providing as much insight to you as I can!
loving the videos, transparent af... and great for yourself to look back on when you hit the billion!
YESSS!!! Manifesting that billion $ mark :) thanks for the support!
It's incredible to follow you along in building your team! I'm just in the early stages of building my bootstrapped startup with two cofounders (and first team member) and I love to see you share your journey. You're the first person I've found to give such a great in-depth behind-the-scenes look into the life of growing your startup and of course, your journey of growing into a person to lead an awesome team to achieve your goals together. Awesome to see that we're not alone down this crazy journey haha! You're an inspiration to anyone who wants to put themselves out there and create their own thing! Can't wait to see where you guys take this! :D
Heck ya! Love hearing that Laurin! I’m excited to keep sharing the journey live with you so we can all feel a little bit easier about this crazy hard journey - keep me updated on your journey!
@@jayhoovy Legend! Will definitely check in on your future vids! Always something great to look forward to! 😄
Keep going with these videos! It's like the video version of the Start Up podcast back in the day and I love it
Thanks Eric! Will definitely keep it up - appreciate you being along for the ride!
Dude your videos are amazing! keep it up, from a young entrepnuer interested in start ups I look up to you a lot!
Awww thank you Deet! Will definitely keep it up! I’m super excited to hear about what you build one day
Great video
Hi I'm from Seattle, glad you enjoyed it!
It was awesome Nigel! Cheers!!
what was the song in the background at 10:38? Does anyone know?!
This company looks so fun to work at! I wish you all the success ❤
Thank you Chad!! We try our best to make the hard work worthwhile
i watched every episode till now and give major👍thumbs ups, i want to ask: what is ur usp against someone like linktree?
Your growth is inspiring 🚀🏆
Trying my best to grow!!! And share all my learnings with you
Hey! Was wondering if doing IB gave you good foundational skills to start a startup (besides work ethic and stuff like that). Is it a startup a highly transitionable exit opportunity from IB, or not really?
Mmmm - I think private equity / VC have much better foundational + strategic skill set, but IB definitely set me up to even get that job + even get in biz school. It all compounds!
Team John FTW
Hey John
I'm looking into your service and I'm kind of curious how you are planning to go profitable.
Found few great product ideas that can be applied to other businesses so thank you for making an awesome landing page, but still curious how you will make money in the future.
Surely, 29$ subscription model and 0% fee won't be enough.
Didn't sign up for trial, cause I'm not a creator. Just asking out of curiosity since I'm an entrepreneur too.
No worries, I do a whole different business than contents industry.
Thanks for great contents!
Interesting Jay has responded to mostly all the other comments except this one....
haha great content man. The morning hike is what is up, I personally need do a round a disc golf for my hiking adventures but being outside with nature is literally a breathe of fresh air. The scavenger hunt was fun until the gum wall >.< eww but also very cool. Anyway enough distraction, back to baby's first Unity game because no one wants a professional sandwich artist.
hahaha yes the gum wall was SO GROSS - getting out into nature everyday is critical!!
Yessir
Bro really became a CEO
trying my best Lukas, still am figuring it out live...
@@jayhoovy It‘s so inspiring watching ur growth, greetings from germany
Yo what about the sat😂
Out of curiosity, have you had any black employees, or had any applications from blacks?
Thank you so much for pointing this out Bizzille! We're trying our best to hire diverse applicants as a small startup - it's something that matters a ton to me as a queer person of color.
If you have any suggestions on any ways we could expand our pool of black applicants please let me know!!!
Love the content regardless jay. We're on the road to Unicorn Status!! :) LFG!!!

I feel you're a better UA-camr than CEO trying to build a billion dollar company. Just from watching your other videos, it seems like you lack the capacity and conviction.
thanks for the candid feedback! Building a $bn company is a scary big thing that I'm still learning to take on - so it's helpful to know that I show up in that way to you
I disagree! You’re heading in the right direction. There’s so much to learn and you’re still so young! No one comes in knowing it all, you have the potential to learn/grow. I work at a startup accounting firm and I see a lot of CEOs just like you. Loving these videos!!
