@Destroy the illuminati Keep your Fiat junk. Have fun with your Transmissions. No wonder Dodges don't hold their value or are used as ambulances they don't want to breakdown on their way to the patient.
I had a sleeper 81 dodge truck with a 318 that made probably around 350 horsepower in a time when a regular small block truck didn’t make 250. It had a 4 speed also. I had a blast driving that rig.
I used to have that same car. Mine was black, with a slant 6 and three on the tree:) Luckily it was a light car, because when the starter went out, it took me a few weeks to save up to replace it, and I had to push start the car for a while. Luckily I was young and strong. I learned to plan ahead, and always park on an incline if possible. I wish I had kept the old Barracuda fast back. And the 65 Mustang, and the 65 GMC short box, and the 67 Mustang fast back, and the 72 Chevy short box, and and and and . I just bought a near pristine 72 Dodge D200 pickup, and have spent BIG on horsepower goodies for the 360 LA. THIS one I'm keeping. It's been sitting under a tree for 17 years, just waiting for me to come along and buy it. 73K original miles, and nearly zero dents or rust. I'm going to use it to destroy tires, and scare passengers. Not sure what else, but those two things it will definitely do.
Very good driving son. Hell of a naturally aspirated mopar. And for such a little V8, I know it's Stroked, but regardless, have heard those 318's will rev to the moon...
Great video and race. It feels good when all that hard work shows up AND YOU KICK 11:00 ET ASS!!! Way to go. In a future episode can you share how you came up with the 600 hp combination. Ty
you can get over 400 from stock part off all mopars small blocks and a cam. I'm pretty sure he had to go all aftermarket to get there. I just want something of a light build but if I got to 600 it would make me happy, Then I could try for a grudge match with a Demon if I put very little of Duster back on my Duster I'd stand a chance......maybe😎
Just came across your channel Man watching you take a win was damn satisfying!! Being a drag racer I know what emotions you we’re going through!! Great driving buddy!! Bad ass car!! Growing up the local auto parts guy had one with a 440 but an automatic transmission that he would drag race.
I love my 318 it doesnt have 600 it has 435. bolted to a 518 drived shafted to a 390 gear stuffed into a 1986 chrysler 5th avenue. snapy quick and 12 sec fast
I have a 318 sitting in my garage, a 1969. I'm going to keep it now lolol. I think what you're doing with that Cuda is just awesome. Keep it up and good luck!!....
Awesome race! How much does that cuda weigh? Curious cause my car runs 11.0s …..I know how much my car weighs but not exactly sure of the hp. Was guessing 550 chp but maybe more depending on how much your car weighs in comparison.
I don’t have 1 video in specific that talks about the whole setup, it’s scattered throughout all of my videos. Engine is 318 based, full cal tracs rear suspension, stock a833 4 speed
600 HP 318. So we're talking Solid cam, maybe Roller, zero deck or pop up Pistons, ported to the max aluminum heads, 1 3/4 headers, Single plane Intake ported, 850 CFM mech sec carb, 8 3/4, 4.10:1 Rear?

Who was the narrator that said "Everyone here is pretty fast, except for that guy" pointing at your car? Those other drivers can't believe they got beat by a 50 year old Mopar with a 318. Engine sounded mean.
@@garysgarage9827 Wow amazing! What did you do for oiling? I know a few guys who LS swapped different cars and they kept having oil issues over and over again. love seeing mopars putting the hurt on the competition
When they're not in the shop.
@@markchapman2585 mopars are in the shop because fords/chevys are in the junkyard where they belong

Great job you got that little 318 singing and the competition is singing the blues the Mopar Blues💖
Thats impressive man! Gives me hope for my 73 340 challenger 4 speed. You shifted that thing like a champ
My first car was a '70 that I built a 340 for. I miss that car.
I love the sound of a Mopar w a big cam idling!
Most underrated small block of all time. Way to go! That thing just sounds mean!
600hp out of a 318 is impressive as all hell. Beautiful car man. As soon as winter is over gotta start my 71” satellite build. 👍
How's that satellite coming?
Nice race Sir. Congratulations!
Thank you for posting this Mr.
Dude, I grinned through this whole video! Hard work DOES pay off in the end.

Congratulations!
That was a sweet win with a car that you built vs. the bought car. Good job with that small block! Beauty.
