Kennedy Peak and Molo Mountain

- Two day hike in Emigrant Wilderness starting from Kennedy Meadows, with overnight on the Kennedy ridge. This was a late spring hike, with still a lot of snow after, a record year.
The snow was quite good for walking, especially in the morning, but it kept hard even in the afternoon. High debit on all the creeks, making the crossing of Kennedy Creek near Soda Canyon quite tricky.
During both days there were thunderstorms in the afternoon, with sunny mornings and evening.
Equipment: crampons and ice axe. Carried snowshoes, but did not really use them.
Route: www.alltrails....
Thank you so much for posting. Excellent to see the conditions.
Glad you enjoyed it
There's so much snow up there it's like an ancient ice-age landscape! And a perfect weather window as well! Great trip!
Yep - it is pretty well covered - that will stay there for a while. And indeed was a good trip - thx
Great job getting after it with all the snow!
You bagged two peaks in the time I was waking up and finishing my coffee. Dude, you were motoring! Nice job.
It was a nice tour w/ good conditions - glad you enjoyed it !
Nice trip! But yikes, the river crossings seem to be treacherous this summer.
Thx - yes - was pretty 'interesting' - very high debit on all creeks..
Nice! Can you please share the route you took.
Added a link w/ the route in the description
